There are quite a few portable storage companies but I went with rapid response for a few reasons…read more I would have to say the main reason is their customer service. They are a local business and Michelle Ratliff is who you are in contact with. I requested a quote online and received an email. The pricing was pretty similar to the other companies. Other companies offered like a one time discount on the first month or free delivery. Although rapid response doesn't offer any advertised discounts or promos. They were able to match another written quote. Even without a discount, the pricing is pretty close and even if you pay a little more than another company. I think the great customer service and ease of contacting and doing business with Michelle is worth it. I called on Thursday and she said they were booked that day and the next but they could drop it off on Monday. I said ok no problem but if you have a cancellation and can drop it off earlier that would be great. She said sure no problem. Michelle then pulled up my house on google maps and asked me which way we wanted the doors to face and where we wanted the storage containers set on our driveway. Lucky us, she called the next morning and said that her driver just got back and that they would be able to drop it off that day. She said her driver would be there within an hour. We originally asked to set the container in the middle of our driveway but then ended up changing our minds to have it on the left. I was able to call her before her driver arrived and she said sure no problem. The container arrived clean and in good shape. They set it up like how we discussed in the phone. We were able to get to work right away and are so far pleased with the company. Would recommend for your portable storage needs based on my experience so far.

I do not even know where to begin, on one of those days where everything that could go wrong does,…read moresomething went right when I contacted Michelle from Rapid Response Portable Storage. After wasting an entire day attempting to get a competitor just to deliver a container to our home, for twice as much money (not to mention wasting a whole day waiting for a container to arrive and then the competitor keeping me on hold for approximately 4 hours total during NUMEROUS phone calls, I was lucky enough to call Michelle. In less than 30 minutes I had a promise of a container within the hour, a signed contract, and a 3rd of the cost from PODS. While PODS was way more efficient than "the competitor, they were booked further out on possible delivery time, not to mention a price so low, I had to ask Michelle to believe I heard her correctly. NEVER EVER go anywhere else if you are looking for temporary storage. These are the kindest, most efficient people you will ever meet....I cannot say enough about them and will definitely be forever grateful that I called them when I did. Thank you Rapid Response Storage, thank you to the delivery driver, and THANK YOU MICHELLE. I wish I could give you way more stars. 5 is just not enough.

My initial call was with Katie who gave me all the information I needed. She was pleasant and friendly with a good sense of humor. They dropped it off as instructed. It was a brand new POD in impeccable condition. I ran a few days longer than I had planned and they prorated the bill for those extra days. This company was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommended their service.

I had to deal with a lot of companies and set up many appointments during the entire process of…read morebuying/selling/moving. I quickly lost patience with companies that complicated my life, and Rent-A-Green-Box was one of them. Long story short - I filled out the order form on a Monday, and even after numerous emails and a phone call with the owner, I still didn't have a confirmed appointment by Friday morning. Also, when I did speak with him on the phone to set up the appointment, it was a very weird, unnecessary game of 20 questions - talking with him was very awkward. All in all, I had to ask for the invoice at least three times, and I believe my boyfriend asked at least once. Each time we were told "later" or they were "working on it" or they were "moving slow" that day. I don't have time for excuses. and I don't have a week to waste on things like this. It's too bad, because we really wanted to use this company, but we lost faith after the week of requesting an invoice/confirmation. When my boyfriend told them to forget it because we didn't feel confident they would be able to deliver the product on time, we immediately received a response saying that in 10 years they have never missed an appointment. We didn't want to take the chance to find out. Shortly after that we received the invoice. My advice to this company is to move quickly when people place orders and be transparent about what is going on. I love the idea of what the company stands for, but when dealing with stressed out people who want to make sure their move happens smoothly, it's best to work fast, be honest, and pay attention to detail. Luckily, we ended up finding another company that does the same thing, for a cheaper price. We were able to set the appointment online, pay online, and only had to talk to them once on the phone, just so they could confirm our order. No need for twenty questions, no excuses, no BS!

Even if you're not a recycle freak, here are a few good reasons to use them: They drop all the boxes off, with a dolly on wheels he showed us how to stack empties under and pack while standing. Packing didn't strain our back. Using rent a green box saved us $$$ /hours on our moving company. Pretty much paid for itself. We moved twice before we found green boxes, our movers finished way faster than even they anticipated! No playing tetris with the boxes because they are all the same size=quick packing of moving truck. Labels (they provide) on each box meant the movers unloaded really fast without the need to pause and ask which box goes in which room. Tip: We labeled the boxes to match a sign hanging with painters tape outside of the bedroom doors i.e. Bedroom #2, Bedroom #3 We Rented a small Uhaul for odd shaped things like lamps and bicycles (stuff that would have caused our movers another trip with their truck) they helped load and unload that but saved $$$ on a second trip.
