I ordered a 20x10 foot container and after delivery I noticed that the the rear door locking mechanism had been cut. There is a second area to lock the door handle but I would assume a large company would address/fix the issue before delivering a storage container to a customer. Just a heads up the storage units aren't secure with just a lock and can be cut open very easily read more

so about a year ago, I did get a storage container. It was all wood few couple of months. Everything went well until it started raining wood pieces were falling off. I see that they have regular storage containers made at a metal which I did not receive one of those, they came and repossess the storage containers, but I had already taken a picture of all damage property which was taken out of the container along with videos of it leaking from the inside along with wood mites I had to dispose of all my stuff in there and the stuff that they took when they repossessed the storage containers. I'm pretty sure they saw that inside all that damage I'm definitely taking these people to court, because I am not paying an amount for all my damage TV, DVDs that I have videos for so if you guys would like to talk to me and want to see the videos leaking inside your containers and me having to remove all my stuff from there before they stay there for months almost empty read more

I guess they did it the day before but he wasn't authorized by anyone. When the manager asked for him to please call the driver became rude. driver entered without authority and felt obligated to do so. How rude can you be. I would have loved to give Storage Valet a great review. Things started out well with themt during the initial part of the project. Then they delivered our storage containers/pods to our new house and things went downhill quickly. The truck arrived but they could not remove the containers from the truck. Normally, they would bring a forklift to remove the containers from the truck but didn't this time. The whole idea of these storage containers/pods is the convenience of being unloaded easily from your driveway. This did not happen and resulted in some dangerous unloading on our part. Based on how the containers were delivered and removed from the house we sold and based on every picture on the website, we believed that the containers would be removed from the trailer and placed on our driveway for easy unloading. Instead, we had to unload the containers on the street, off the truck, using ladders and a ramp that was provided but unsafe. The ramp did NOT have any hooks or connectors so that the ramp would could be firmly attached to the truck for security. Without such, the ramp could and did slide a couple of times and luckily no one was hurt. In addition, the ramp grade was steep and made it hard to maneuver heavy items off the ramp. It took 4-5 people to handle removing items like a washer and dryer, couches, and the like. If containers were placed on the ground, these items required only 2 people to move. I paid thousands of dollars using Storage Valet. Over a week ago, I sent an email to them stating my disappointment and to this date received no response. Ultimately, I decided to post this everywhere I could since they didn't find it worth their time to respond to my request once the bill was paid and closed. No apology or even an auto-response from them. Very disappointed. I would recommend you going with someone else. My experience ended badly and I would hate for anyone to go through that. read more

These guys physically carry the largest container that I was able to find in the price is pretty good my only gripe that I had was it was a huge headache when I loaded up the four bedroom house that they said they could easily fit in there and I was overloaded by like 40% at the end of the day I was able to secure three smaller unit that they ended up sending me for additional cost but just be careful these can easily be overloaded and not the only disadvantage with these big units I would recommend you to use lighter big furniture you put anything heavy it will easily exceed the weight but overall these guys run a pretty good deal.. read more

We redid our garage floor and wanted to store all of our stuff in a storage unit in the driveway. I called numerous businesses and got some high pressure - give me all your info before I tell you our charges types of people. When I called Storage Valet they were so easy to deal with. Here's our prices, here's when we can be there etc. They were so much cheaper than anyone else too. So I really liked that as well as their business practices. I told them I only needed one unit and they said "well the driver will have 2 units in case you decide you need two". When they delivered the units I saw that yes I would need two. So I got both of them. They are wooden storage units covered in a very heavy waterproof material. The locking mechanisms worked perfectly. For two units I only paid for one delivery fee. The guy who dropped the units off was super nice and helpful. When I was done with them I called them and they came and picked them up in one day! Storage Valet is as good as it gets! I used Storage Valet for transportation and storage last summer. As I was looking for storage options, I first got a call from Alex with an extremely competitive rate for the storage pod for three months of storage. After that Katie Miller dealt with the contract and logistics. I signed the contract electronically. Katie and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful, always responding to emails promptly. Storage Valet gave me excellent customer service! A friendly driver brought in the storage pod on the appointed day. The pod was clean, well maintained and had water-proof external covers. They let me put my own locks on the pod; They did not ask me to buy any locks from them (unlike places like Public Storage). They picked up the pod after I was done with packing and storage. Three months later, Storage Valet brought the storage pod to my new place. Even though I was out of town when they arrived, they placed the pod at a convenient location. Everything was set for me to move in, as soon as I landed in town. All my belongings were intact when I opened the pod. Nothing was damaged by the Inland Empire summer heat. I had packed carefully (but not professionally) and yet nothing damaged from movement of the pod either. I payed my rent online each month. Overall, even though the rate for a pod is a little higher than renting a room in Public Storage (or equivalent), I saved money, effort and time on renting trucks, dealing with insurance payments and gas for the trucks, and having to load and unload my stuff four times. And Storage Valet made the process hassle free. I was just thinking about what I did last summer and I remembered that I meant to give this company a great review. read more

From my original call into Storage Valet 18 months ago to move my parents stuff into storage when I took over their house to MY move, they not only took care of the items I cared about from my parents, they recently unpacked them for me, took photo's so I could remember what was in there and REPACKED them into a transport pod. They also brought THAT pod to my house so I could pack more things into it and brought me another pod for my other things.
