Nope! Took my car there to get my AC fixed and was told that I needed to fix leaks and replace the compressor for a total of 2,500+. I took it somewhere else and they told me that there was nothing wrong with the compressor and fixed it for 400 bucks. My AC is working perfectly now. How could that be? Just a word of advice and do your homework before taking their recommendations. After my experience I started looking at other reviews and saw similar stories so won't be taking my business there ever again. UPDATE: more than a month now and my AC is working perfectly. DON'T CHANCE IT.... I went there Saturday 18th and got an oil change and come home to find out they broke the coolant filler neck that goes to the overflow tank. FML!! Not the first time they messed up.. A year ago they failed change the oil when I went there to get an oil change... The manager apologize and offered an $80 credit but when I went back there was no notes or anything saying what happened and the credit..... Shady!!! Never going back! Update... Called Sun Devil Auto and spoke with Jeremy/manager. Started to tell him what was going on when he cut me off and told me how upset he was with the bad review. He was more concerned about the bad review than helping our resolving the situation. He said they didn't break anything. After we argued back and forth he hung up on me... This is my second time at this location and everytime they do a phenomenal job! The first time my window dropped in my door. They fixed the issue and checked my whole vehicle plus I could use my carmax warranty here. The second time was today for a basic oil change. Not a complaint but very interesting if you ask me. Anyway you slice it, how does a $173-240 part end up costing $700 dollars...for a 30 min job? Very interesting... If you're reading this here's some advice, just before you pay money, research the cost of your part and YouTube how to fix it. Normally I do my work myself but I had a weak moment because I didn't know the problem with my car but after they showed me, for which I'm thankful for, i realized something odd with the price. The place really wants to make $700 for 1hr-30min job, then it ought to be a urgent care clinic not an auto-shop. Although similar, they are not the same. 1 star not because of crappy work, but for trying to Convince me to use credit or finance my situation, or tell me a bunch of things about the car that's not true, because after I ordered the part and fixed it, I realized they were all lies. There is why I am writing this. So, I realize you have a PR lady reviewing and answering these. I say to thee, calm on the pricing, and do tell your people to tell the truth, if a job really costs $700 dollars, I expect the work to be extremely difficult and worth $700...if I find a YouTube video and find out otherwise, well...I know you don't like being lied to either. Edit: since its been brought to my attention that the part i was told I needed was from the dealership and it's "OEM" or "equivalent" (which is what I bought), it would be nice to know why there's damn near a %200 price increase on the the part other than to stay competitive. WARNING - THIS IS THE MOST DISHONEST CAR REPAIR SHOP EVER! They do not deserve any stars at all. I was there in 2008 fixing an A/C problem. According to the repair guy, I needed a new A/C hose, which cost over $500 to fix the problem. In less than a year, my A/C was out and blowing hot air out again! Sun Devil Auto saved the day. I of course waited until the last minute to take my car to emissions to get tested before I could get my tags renewed. Much to my surprise my newish) car failed and so I took it into a shop across the street from emissions testing to get fixed. This place (not Sun Devil) wanted over $1,200 smacks to replace a gas cap and some type of leak. I called bullshit and left. A couple days later (still procrastinating on getting my car fixed) my car overheated, yeah, when it rains it pours. Not wanting to drive far I brought into Sun Devil and Jeremy and Brad took really good care of me. I had a plethora of problems going on with my vehicle. It was all going to end up costing the same amount that I was originally quoted at the other place BUT I was going to have a lot more work done to my car. They cut me a deal on the diagnostic testing AND threw in the radiator cap that went MIA when the car overheated, yeah, I know those aren't expensive but every little bit helps. When it came time to pay I sighed and winced and Jeremy could see my torment and told me that they would allow me to split up my payment by providing a post dated check. I could have jumped across the counter to hug him because I knew I was also going to have to shell out another $300 for tags once I left Sun Devil. I use this place for my family and my services. They dropped the ball. I do my part by scheduling appointments because I work full time and have a family. I made an appt for an oil change. As soon as I drove out of there tire pressure light was on. They rotated my tires but didnt check or balance my air pressure. The guy on the phone seemed like it was no big deal. Just come back takes minute and half. I called so that they are aware for future customers. Something so simple was skipped. I dont have time to just swing by, I work full time. I'm on the road same time you open and and get home after you close. Exactly why i make Saturday appointments. My main concern is its dangerous to have improperly flated tires that can lead to major accident. Sadly I will find a new place for my buisness. read more

I took my F150 to them with a check charging system light on. they originally quoted me the the battery was bad and would cost me $300.00 installed. They did that and then phoned me back and said it was the altenator and was going to be $1,542.99 for the alternator plus install fee of $175.00 more. I was very busy and agreed to the work and they went ahead and repaired my truck. when I had more time I went online and got a quote from autozone and they had 3 options ranging from $444.99 to $604.99 and Ernhart Ford quoted me $834.00 for there alternator. I paid the bill because I'm a man of my word and had approved the work but I was over charged for the alternator and I'm quite sure I didn't need a new battery. I call Sun Devil Auto and they said to bad that was what there supplier charged them for the alternator. My opinion is I was ripped off and will never be back there again. Thanks Sun Devil. *While I appreciate the quick and friendly service I always get from Sun Devil, my last experience was not so good. I brought my car in because I had a check engine light going on and off and the car was running rough. I was told new spark plugs and a fuel system treatment would fix it. I paid the $650 for the repair and went on my way. The next day my engine light came on and the same problem persisted. I brought it back in and they explained that now I needed oxygen sensors and that it would be another $700. I do not know if my car needed the prior repairs but something is wrong and maybe they didn't diagnose it correctly. read more

Went to this shop knowing that that I had to get my breaks replaced. I told them I was just looking to replace my rear breaks and just do an alignment check up. Turns out I needed "all 4 breaks replaced" which I knew wasn't right because I had them checked previously. Then I got told that they weren't allowed to help with my alignment until all breaks were replaced so labor was double. Before even getting to the alignment I needed a whole new "water pump system" which didn't seem right because my car should've been leaking or over heating. I got told that "if I drive the car even just a little bit my engine would give out and i'd have to pay $10,000 for a new one" non of it was adding up. keep in mind my grand total was already at $1495 for just the breaks and the water pump was supposed to be $700. Which is INSANELY pricey! I quickly declined the water pump offer and had a family friend take care of the car. surely to find out that it wasn't even the water pump. crazy huh?! there was a small crack on the overflow tank which cost me $84.95 at o'rellys and he only charged me $150 after labor... Sad to think this company can just lie straight to your faces and take advantage of people who don't think they know what's going on. very thankful that I backed out in time... DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! The manager Jeremy is an absolute con artist and liar. He tried telling me my car had $10,000 worth of damage. All from hitting my rear tire on a curb and it came off. Keep in mind only my rear tire touched the curb. As he was inspecting it he begins to tell me "when the front of your car went up on the curb it messes up the front tire arms and shifted the frame". That's when I immediately knew he was a liar because my front of the car never touched anything. Visited this location because I am new to the area and its close to my home. As a woman, I'm always nervous about shops where I don't know anyone...I don't want to be scammed or sold stuff I don't need!! Relaxed atmosphere, clean lobby/restrooms, and the staff was very friendly. I was especially impressed with the gentleman at the counter, Jay. He was friendly, made me feel comfortable, and was incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to explain any issues with my car so that I could understand (no complex shop talk going on!). And, he didn't pressure me or intimidate me with my vehicle repairs. I appreciate that!! He informed me of my options so I am able to prioritize which repairs to tackle first. Sorry to say but I am disappointed with this shop. I had went back at least 3 times to have them fix my car but in all I finally had my ex husband who finally took them time to look at my car and to find out that major leaks they never fixed. I was convinced to come in since i had visited another company and paid for 130 diagnostics and they informed me they will do the inspection for me and get it repaired right away. They offered a free diagnostics so I went in and found out my valve cover needed to replace and cam shaft so right then and there i had it repaired by them and paid all in the same day about 600. Two days after i was smelling oil then noticed it was leaking on my drive way. I am a very busy person with work so dealing with this i dont mind paying for what needs to be done and ill keep coming back to you type person. so i called them and they said just come bring it back in didnt get back until a week. Come to find out the oil cap was stuck and leaking out from there. So of course they fixed it and told me see how it runs in a couple weeks and write us a review. Another couple weeks i kept smelling oil once again but stronger so i called down and came in once again and left it for the day for them to tell me they found more leaks and they were going to take care of if the bill he showed me was pretty price and made me feel secure that it was fine. I still am smelling oil and finally had my exhusband take a look it and was showing all the issues my car has going on . The bolt on the bottom of the oil was stripped. The valve cover leaking all around and the gasket for the valve cover was sticking out so was not replaced correctly, There is engine oil that is going through the intake manifold which has leaked all over the mass air flow sensor causing poor air reading and ac is now going out. The only good thing I can say was the manager was very kind about the issues i was having and got me right away in but I cant trust the mechanics! read more
