DO NOT USE THE MESA GATEWAY LOCATION…read more I brought my truck here with INTERMITTENT air ride suspension issues. The service manager, David W lied and misrepresented the shops ability to properly diagnose and repair the specific system in my Ram truck. I drove my truck to this shop with a functional air ride suspension system and what I got back was a broken truck that had to be removed from this place on a flatbed tow truck. They claimed to have filled the nitrogen but that was an outright lie. The total nitrogen level when I brought it in was 2100psi. When it was towed out of there it had about 200psi because the technician had completely drained it when he burned out the compressor trying to force it to stay on while he tried to find a leak. David claims it was only 900psi when I brought it in but that's because he was only using the holding tank measurement, not the entire system, but whatever he has to do to deflect blame and manipulate the circumstances, right? David W declared my truck fully repaired and charged me $2500 only giving me my truck and keys AFTER running my credit card. What they did was allegedly replace a basic rear shock, proclaiming that to be the problem when it is not connected to the air ride suspension system in any way. My trucks air ride suspension system was completely collapsed, the compressor would not come on and they had the audacity to blame the weather. After a lot of back and forth David W admitted in a recorded conversation that they did not properly diagnose my truck, and that they would replace the compressor at zero cost to me. When I decided that I wanted them to pay for the repairs for what they did but I didn't want them doing the work they refused to supply the necessary parts or any compensation. They also refused to pay for the flatbed tow truck. The service manager, David W. was rude, nasty, defensive, accusatory, refused to provide any evidence of the nitrogen they claimed to have used, refused to provide evidence of the shocks they claimed to have replaced, and refused to allow me to talk to the technician who had caused so much damage. My truck was taken to a dealership, and now I am going to the Arizona Attorney General's Office to file a complaint against them for deceptive conduct and negligence. Photo is the error codes AFTER they claimed to fix it and it had to be put on flatbed.

(keep in mind it was in great shape and had no issues.) They put in a mixed synthetic blend and I trusted their judgment. Turns out, my car needs a full synthetic, period. Not a mix. Because of this my car burned through all of the oil before it even hit the mileage that they listed on my sticker and I had no idea. My mechanic said he's had to deal with this particular location multiple times for the same problem destroying cars his customers have brought to him and is frustrated he's seeing it again from the same company and the same location. He even sent his own worked to speak with them on my behalf to no avail. Without even driving the full mileage listed on the sticker, my car was completely out of oil without me knowing it. And my car, which they personally reset, stated i was still at 50% oil life, but in reality there wasn't a drop of oil in it. I'd been driving my kids to school and myself to work without any oil in my car that whole time assuming I was okay because I hadn't reached that mileage and my car said my oil life was fine. Because I trusted them. Now, my entire engine is completely totaled and needs to be replaced. A $6,000-$10,000 fix. My mechanic was furious on my behalf stating they never should have put that kind of oil in my car, and never should have put that mileage for a replacement on the sticker. I opened a case with Valvoline so they could take responsibility and, of course, it was denied. Shocking, right? They claimed it was my fault for "choosing" the type of oil i put in, despite me clearly stating I had no clue and I trusted their judgment. Even if I didn't know better, there should never be an option for my vehicle to have an oil change with oil that does not function as it should in my car, and even if it was possible to do it, then they never should have placed that milage on the sticker if it burns up faster than full synthetic does leaving me with no oil at all. Now, i have to fully replace my entire engine, and I feel so taken advantage of. My new car's engine is toast, and they refuse to take responsibility for the damage they caused and want to blame me for it. Don't EVER go here if you care about your car or if you need to be able to drive in order to live your life. The devastation getting one oil change here has had on my life is incomparable. I'm a single mom living on one income. Now, i have no way to get my kids to school, no way to get to work, and what little money I was able to save is gone, and i'm in severe debt to replace an engine that never should have needed a replacement when the responsibility to front the cost should be with the people who caused the damage. I only bought my car a few months ago and it was in great condition. Only after the oil change did my car crumble into irreparable pieces. My life is ruined and they refuse to do anything about it. Everyone who works for this company and this location should be severely ashamed and those who denied my claim should take a hard look at why they continue to deny claims for their customers instead of taking responsibility, encouraging their customers to return, and helping the people they harmed. I will never understand how people can work for a company who profits off of denying people claims. If you want to continue to be able to live your life in a city that demands you have a car, then don't ever come here unless you want to find yourself responsible for $10,000 of repairs and an unusable car.

They got me in quickly, were incredibly friendly from the moment I walked in, and took the time to thoroughly check everything out. It turned out to be something as simple as a loose spare tire, something that could have easily been misdiagnosed elsewhere. What really stood out to me is that they fixed the issue right then and there and didn't charge me anything. That level of honesty and integrity is rare these days. As a woman, it can sometimes feel intimidating trying to find an auto shop you can truly trust. At Crawford's, I felt completely comfortable, respected, and confident that I was being treated fairly, no upselling, no pressure, just genuine help. They've absolutely earned my trust, and I will be coming back for any future car needs. It's uncommon to come across a business that treats you fairly and genuinely cares about your experience throughout the business interaction. What is even more exceptional is finding a business that is able to leave an impression on you not just once, but one that consistently exceeds your expectations. We discovered Stamps when my wife's car was in need of tires. Our first experience brought us back, and every experience since has reaffirmed my opinion that Tim and his team are truly a rare find in the service industry. Most recently, I brought my F250 in for servicing. Of course, it was a weekday morning, trying to get kids to school before heading to work, and the truck won't start. Based on the input of a roadside assistance team, I was expecting to walk out with two new batteries and at least one, if not two alternators (dual alternator vehicle), and a hefty unexpected bill. Once the roadside assistance team got me running, I immediately called Tim and explained the situation. Tim, understanding my need to find a solution before it was time to pick up kids, worked with his schedule and told me that if I came right in, he'd have me ready by that afternoon. When I dropped off the truck, Tim had me in and out, he even drove me back to the house so that I could make arrangements to get to work as quickly as possible. Around lunch Tim called me to let me know that he had checked the entire system (batteries, alternators, starter, wiring, etc) and the good news was that everything checked out except the batteries. Regarding the batteries, I asked his opinion on several brands I'd researched, including some of the top-tier batteries on the market. Tim had every opportunity to up-sell me but that's not how Stamps does business. Instead, he considered my typical vehicle use, and recommended a set of batteries that should last me much longer without breaking the bank. When I picked up the truck that afternoon, Tim was again there to meet me. He explained exactly how they tested the system, what they found, and asked if I had questions....what you typically expect from a good service provider. Tim then told me to check-in with him and let him know if I saw anything out of the ordinary. He specifically told me what conditions to be aware of that might be indicative of another issue and reiterated to call him if there were any other difficulties. This is what, in my opinion, makes Stamps a great service provider. As I was getting ready to leave, Tim understood that this was an unanticipated expense and let me know that he was going to help me out on the final invoice. He applied a generous discount and wished me a Happy Thanksgiving. I walked out feeling as though I had someone looking out for my interests and I hope the Stamps team takes pride in knowing that they have absolutely earned my loyalty...a win-win situation, which should be the goal of any service provider.

I explained this upfront and still chose to proceed with a diagnostic to confirm the issue. I was quoted a flat $65 diagnostic fee by the owner with no mention of pricing ranges or tiers. I agreed and scheduled the service. The technician arrived about 30 minutes later than scheduled, which I was informed of ahead of time. During a brief text exchange with the owner, I expressed concern due to a prior negative experience with another company. The response I received made the interaction feel slightly tense, including being told I could "find someone else" if needed. When the technician arrived, I explained the issues and the codes I already had. During the inspection, the technician began deeper inspection work on the vehicle. I was not clearly informed beforehand that more extensive disassembly or work beyond a basic diagnostic could result in additional charges. Afterward, I was told the diagnostic would actually be $200 due to the depth of the inspection, despite originally being quoted $65. After discussing this, I was ultimately charged $75. I expressed concern that the pricing change was not communicated upfront. The owner later acknowledged that he should have communicated a pricing range and that this was a mistake on his part. I requested a copy of the diagnostic findings I was being charged for. The response indicated there was no formal report, but pictures and a summary were provided. Communication afterward included frustration from the business regarding the reduced payment, despite the pricing change being due to lack of prior disclosure. While I do believe the technician performed the inspection thoroughly and provided useful findings, the core issue was the lack of clear communication around pricing structure, scope of work, and potential cost changes before work beyond a basic diagnostic began. I would recommend future customers get very clear written confirmation of what is included in the diagnostic fee, whether deeper inspection can change pricing, and what documentation will be provided before service begins.
