Iced tea and baked pork chop rice with tomato sauce
    Munchica E.

Sooo good! Highly recommend the baked pork chop with tomato sauce on rice. Hits the spot for a warm, tangy, meaty, and carby meal. The pork chop was super moist, juicy, and tender. The tomato sauce was like campbell's creamy tomato soup and the rice was just right. When all these things combine together after baking, they form an incredibly delicious harmony of tastiness. The iced lemon tea was good and refreshing too. The only thing that would make this better is if there was a thick layer of melted cheese on top!

I come here for my Hong Kong cafe fix. I have to say the Baked Portuguese Chicken is restaurant level. It does not taste like the average food court stall at all. I've also had the Roasted Chicken Thai Fried Rice and the Three Meat Fried Noodle. Portions are plenty. Prices are fair. Plus it's really convenient- you can order, do some grocery shopping and pick up the food after. I'm going to try the French Toast next time. Keep y'all posted on how authentic that tastes!

This was my first time trying Sun Century Cafe and I'm pretty impressed! They have a bunch of different types of noodles in soup for $5.99 each and they also have different types of Hong Kong styled dishes including the baked dishes with cheese and much more ($8.99). It's just a regular food court store inside Yaohan Centre and there's nothing too special to the design of the store front. I was able to customize my order by switching the regular vermicelli noodles to a thicker type of noodle! They even had lots of other choices of noodles I could have switched to like instant noodle, macaroni and cheese noodles, and other different types of Asian noodles! I ordered the "Xue Cai Rou Si Mian" for $5.99. The noodles were really soft and the texture was really good. The taste of the soup didn't really stick to the noodles however so it was a little bit bland. The soup on the other hand was perfect! It wasn't too oily, and there was just the perfect amount of salt to it! The veggies on top were cooked just right as well, they didn't taste undercooked or over cooked. I believe they cook their food by order because it was a bit of a wait to get the food and when it came out it was really hot as well! Like most food court stores inside Yaohan they take cash only. I quite enjoyed my experience this time and will definitely be coming back again!

Not bad for a HK-style place especially for one in a food court. If you happen to be at Yaohan it's worth checking out. Price ranges from around $5.50 to $8 and that includes a hot drink. It takes about five minutes for them to prepare your food. I've had a couple of items from then and have to say it's not bad. Quantity is enough to fill someone hungry and taste is good. Mind you I wouldn't say it's the best but I would go back there.

The walls are decorated with pictures from Europe and the teacups are very "British." Besides scone and tea, you can get regular food here as well such as fries, salt & pepper chicken, and radish cake to name just a few. You can also get cold drinks like juice & bubble tea, and bubble tea drinks here too. So...not your typical British style Afternoon Tea joint. Kind of half restaurant, half tea place. My friend had a pot of Leisure Fresh Fruit tea and a scone. We'd already had lunch a bit earlier and while my friend had room for a scone, I had zero room in my stomach for any food so I just had a pot of Longan Red Date tea. It was a cold day so a pot of hot tea really hit the spot. I thought it a bit pricy at first, but when the tea came, I saw that the teabags were Fortnum & Mason teabags. That is a very a prestigious company from all the way over in England. When I realized we were drinking Fortnum & Mason tea, all of a sudden $10.25 didn't seem so extravagant any more. My friend said her scone seemed like more of a biscuit than a scone. It came with butter and jam. I think she wished there had been some clotted cream to go with it. I can't say too much about the food as I only had one pot of tea but I was impressed that it was Fortnum & Mason tea, and I very much enjoyed the flavor of the Longan & Red Dates in my tea.
