They have really affordable set meals! There were 2 whole pages in the menu where they have a meal set deal (dish + drink) for $13.99/$14.99! Also, they have a few great deals during happy hour (3-5pm, 8:30pm-9:45pm). We got a french toast + milk tea combo for only $6.99! We got: Pan Fried Flat Rice Noodle with Beef + drink ($14.99) Baked Seafood with Cream Sauce on Rice + drink ($14.99) Baked Portugese Style Chicken on Rice + drink ($14.99) French Toast + milk tea ($6.99) Nothing was amazing, and the seats are a little crowded - but considering the price, I'd be happy to come back if I'm in the area! Its definitely super worth if you like the few items on the happy hour menu!

Food was okay, pretty average. Milk tea wasn't half bad. Seating is not that comfortable. I'm normally pretty okay with not so great service at HK style cafes, but one lady in particular with short hair, glasses and mask (the shorter one), really did not want to be there. Lol. The other ladies were pretty nice though.

If I want to know if a HK style cafe is any good, my theory is to try their milk tea. I had the first sip and I didn't like it (almost like it set the tone for the food, Lol) My son ordered the laksa noodles and it looked nothing special. He said it wasn't that good. But of course, it's not as tasty as the ones at an authentic Malaysian/Singapore restaurant. I ordered a small bowl of HK Borscht and it was decent. It wasn't too hot though. My entree was the Saturn Pork Chop with rice (that was what it is called in the menu) It's called "sa dan" if you speak Cantonese, basically a tomato based sauce. The pork chop was not tender and the sauce was too "red." I didn't enjoy my dinner but I was hungry so I gobbled up the protein. Haha! Good things about this restaurant are good service and very reasonable prices. Actually to be honest, I would rather eat at the food court. ;)

Can't believe I didn't get to try this hidden gem until this year. Yes this is pretty standard 'cha chan teng'/Hong Kong style cafe fare, but with some of the most affordable prices in Richmond post-covid. I was not especially hungry so I had a relatively simple ham & cheese sandwich with fries and was pleasantly surprised. The bread was super soft, lightly toasted and well buttered. The cheese was melted well and crinkle cut fries done ok. Not much more I'd ask for given the price. Everyone else who ate with me enjoyed their food too. Definitely give it a try if you like this type of food and are looking for affordable lunch sets.

Came here with my parents, brother and niece. It was either HK style or dim sum so we decided on HK style as my brother hasn't gone to one for a while. A couple of things about this place. They do not have any high chair so if you have a baby or young child, they'll have to sit on your lap or in a regular chair. There isn't a lot of room between the tables so they probably wouldn't be able to fit a high chair. Another thing is that they don't have any condiments/salt/pepper/sugar items on the table so if you want some pepper or add some sugar to your drink, you'll have to ask for some. I ordered the house special pork chop. The pork chop was juicy and good. It was breaded as usual. The sauce was lacking some flavor, which was why I was looking for some pepper and/or salt. The items do come with a drink so I got coffee. I wasn't expecting much since it was HK cafe, again why I was looking for some sugar too. It would be nice if they had those on the table as other HK style places do. The service was good and friendly. They have extensive menu of items so finding an item to try can be overwhelming. There's so much to choose from, you will have to determine what type of food you want. They have western style, Chinese, sandwiches, bubble tea, etc.

Not sure why there are only 5 reviews here? Anyways I had serious cravings for HK cafe food today, and my choice was either to go to Peaches or Lido Restaurant so we went to Peaches. I was surprised seeing extensive menus from Chinese food, Western dishes, drinks (slushes and lemon teas pretty much) and combo menus it's overwhelming I find. My sister and I got Portuguese Chicken Rice ($11.25) and Beef Brisket Noodle ($10.95) along with lemon iced tea and milk tea ($1 extra charge for cold drinks here). I have to say everything was great. Our drinks wasn't TOO sweet, but lemon iced tea was the SO good. I liked my milk tea as well. As for food Beef Brisket Noodle ($10.95) had too much noodles than soup. I'd prefer having more soup in it, however that was okay. Radish and beef toppings were seasoned; whereas soup was bland. I could use some hot sauce for more flavours. Anyways it was delicious! Portuguese Chicken Rice($11.25) was delicious too. It came piping hot and fresh and I nearly burnt from touching it. Service was alright. Food came out fast and the extensive menu can be pleasing for everyone. Food portion was big. Wifi is available under #Telus and CASH ONLY!

This is a HK style cafe in the heart of Richmond, on Alexandra Road where the whole street is filled with different eateries...competitions abound and I have to say this place stands out with quality and flavour. Having just came back from HK I have to say this place beats a lot of HK style cafes in HK! Prices is a bit high but it is well worth it when you have a good meal rather then something so so and you pay a few bucks less!

I came here with a group of office mates, based on a recommend (not pointing any fingers but Lauren L., my friend, have an ulterior motive =). Peaches is essentially Cattle Cafe with a darker colour wall and ceiling paint. Service is pretty good but the food, well, not so good. Or at least, the one I had wasn't good - Baked Porkchop + Seafood on Rice with Ice Lemon Tea. The Baked Porkchop + Seafood on Rice was bland and lacking any flavour. It wouldn't hurt to add a little s&p, at least. The Iced Lemon Tea (I can't believe I'm writing about Iced Lemon Tea) is unsweetened. Is it supposed to be unsweetened? I don't see any sugar packets on any of the tables. A little sweet wouldn't hurt, too.

There was a great portion of noodles and a lot of toppings. The issue was that there wasn't enough flavour. Overall the food was decent and at a great price.

They revised the soup menu two thumbs up. Curry soup added and new noodles and wuntun added. Like the options.

She wanted to go to Kirin. Plenty of parking in the mall. Hostess greeted and seated us promptly. Restaurant was busy but not crazy. This was at 10am on a Thursday. Waiters were attentive. Usual table service was in place. Took our order and food came out at acceptable pace. When we were done, they politely boxed up the leftovers and we paid our bill. So service was on point. The food we ordered came out hot. The staples that I order to test was hargow, suimai and pai gwut(spareribs). All 3 dishes in general were good.....the hargow could have used an extra minute or 2 in the steamer. The suimai was very good. I tasted every ingredient in this dish. Usually it is just a complete mix and you can't discern the different flavors. They tried something different with the cheongfun by adding pieces of Chinese donut to the roll. I personally think it didn't add much to the dish, taste or texture wise. I did like the pea shoots with shrimp. I think it is a good combo. All in all a good dimsum. I also noticed they did not charge us a tea service. The cost of the food is comparable with other restaurants at this level. Yes come on a date or impress business clients/boss or family celebrations.

On a typical Sunday evening, the restaurant is usually fully occupied, but my friend had thoughtfully made a reservation a week in advance, so our table for five was ready upon arrival. As always, the restaurant was clean and well maintained, with good airflow thanks to the wide-open front entrance facing the parkade. The front desk receptionist greeted us cordially, and we were escorted to a cozy table in a comfortable location -- not too close to the washrooms, which I appreciated. Our meal began with the Kirin Special Assorted Cold Appetizer, followed by Crab Meat, Dried Scallops, and Fish Maw Soup. The soup arrived piping hot and was delicious, with a generous portion that could easily have served eight people. We also enjoyed Pea Tips Braised with Bean Curd and Assorted Mushrooms in Consommé, Marinated Free-Range Crispy Skin Chicken, Fillet of Cod Sautéed with Seasonal Vegetables, and Live Crab in Consommé with Ginger and Green Onion, served with E-fu Noodles. Overall, the quality and taste of every entrée were excellent. Service was top-notch -- tea and hot water were refilled constantly, bones and used plates were replaced promptly, and the servers were friendly and engaging throughout the evening. My friend and his family have apparently been regulars at this location for over two decades, which likely contributed to the exceptional attentiveness we received. However, one aspect of the experience genuinely disturbed me. All servers, including the captains, continued to wear masks at all times. While this practice was understandable two years ago, now -- five years after the onset of the pandemic, with COVID-19 managed similarly to other seasonal respiratory illnesses -- the continued universal masking in a fine-dining environment feels unnecessary and detracts from the overall guest experience. Fine dining, in my view as an avid foodie, is built on human connection, hospitality, and personal interaction. Masks create a more impersonal, almost clinical atmosphere. In a well-ventilated space like this, the environmental risk does not seem to justify the visual and social trade-off. Rather than providing reassurance, the persistent masking may unintentionally signal that the environment is unsafe or that management is out of step with current provincial health guidelines, where masking is now a personal choice rather than a mandate. Final verdict: Food & Service: 5/5 Ambience: 2/5 Overall: 3/5 -- as the current aesthetic feels more like a relic of 2020 than a leader in 2026 hospitality.

Not sure if it has been the same chef/cook on Saturdays during breakfast and lunch time but the food hasn't been as tasty when compared to weekdays. Today we went for a family lunch gathering on a Saturday and the restaurant was jam packed. Not sure if this was also a factor but every single dish we ordered was so greasy. We also noticed that the portion wasn't as big as what we usually received on weekdays. The complementary soup that came was lukewarm so that was already one point off. The dishes when served were not presented nicely. For example, there was food hanging off the plate and pot (they eventually fell to floor) or spilled sauce on the table. Even my favorite dish stir fried beef rice noodles was just mediocre today. We ordered 6 dishes and every single dish was salty and greasy. It really felt like they were made in haste. It was overall a disappointment and I don't think I'd want to visit the restaurant on a Saturday again.

Service could be a bit slower but it's a Chinese restaurant. So i get it. Everything was gooood! Portions were generous and the taste on point. The washrooms could use a bit of cleaning as well as the flooring...so had to take away a star. Would go back for sure! Overall tho, good comfort Chinese food at reasonable prices. Cheers!
