Yikes! This place used to be REALLY good. Our visit last night will most likely be our last. We were sat right away, but didn't receive menus. Had to ask for them. When they arrived, our party of 6 had to share 2 menus. TWO. They were not even busy. At least 6 or 7 open tables. But whatever. Waited another 10 minutes to have drink orders taken. Only to be delivered 5 minutes later. I wanted to order rolls immediately upon sitting because I know those take A LONG TIME to get. But our waitress never returned to the table. We ended up ordering 30 minutes after being sat. Rolls took another 30 minutes to be delivered. Meanwhile, two of the three sushi chefs checked out for a smoke break, while we still hadn't received our rolls. I suspect our server forgot to ring in our rolls. It's the only logical theory. Hence the reason she avoided us and everyone else in the restaurant received their rolls before us. She fucked up. The only time she came to our table was at the end when the check was presented. Now she wants to chit chat and make nicey nice. No thanks. I'll pass. Left the 20% tip cause Karma, but we won't be back. Sucks though cause the rolls are decent. HIRE SOME BETTER SERVERS! read more

I enjoy their sushi, the atmosphere for dining ( when open) is very nice. For my birthday I wanted sushi and Sake ( had to get as take out) They GAVE my husband some little sake cups when they heard it was my birthday! I love my sake cups and I thought it was sooo nice. read more

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants but it has gone down hill. It is overpriced, the food portions are smaller and the quality is just 'meh'. We arrived at 7 and placed our order around 7:15 on a Fri night. At 7:30 BEFORE our food arrived, our server asked if we were going to want anything else to eat or drink because they were closing. After spending quarantine cooped up inside our house, my family was eager to actually sit in a restaurant, and let me tell you, sumo sushi did not disappoint! Their fish was fresh, all my sushi/sashimi was beautifully presented on the plate, and the staff was super nice. When we came in there was only one server running the floor, and the phone was constantly ringing, but she still managed to check in on us in between calls to ask how we were doing! Since then we've ordered twice, once through Grubhub and once where we called in. Would definitely recommend calling the restaurant itself! Using Grubhub was terrible... the prices are not the same as the restaurant's prices, and we had to wait forever just to get a few rolls. But I can't blame the restaurant for the driver's turtle delivery speed. Picking it up myself was at least 3x faster. Both times our food came looking cute, fresh, and tasting delicious. read more

Let me start by saying I only eat vegetarian rolls when I get sushi (because of a shellfish allergy). When we got here it took 20~ minutes for our server to come take our order and another 45 for our food to come out , they also forgot one of the rolls that we ordered. Not only that I specifically told our waitress several times that I had a severe allergy and asked to replace the roll in the bento box, however, once the Bento came out there were two giant pieces of tempura shrimp that were touching the Gyoza so I was unable to eat that portion of the meal. The rolls were okay, the chicken Katsu was fine, but for the wait, the carelessness around allergies and the overall experience left a sour taste in my mouth. Won't be coming back. read more

I'd have given 5 stars but they recently adjusted their prices (prices use to be on the cheap side $8-12/roll) and while I feel their new pricing is still reasonable ($15-22/roll) given the quality of the fish and service, it has made it a little out of my budget for quick meal or a whim. The menu has tons to offer, the inside of the restaurant leaves much to be desired. And it tends to be a bit more costly than most sushi places are these days. With all of that said the food is tasty, and the staff is very friendly. Both of my children really enjoy their time at this restaurant because the women are always so nice to them. I ordered this over the phone for pickup for lunch at my office. We ordered 1 Tiger Roll, 1 Seared Salmon Roll, 2 Salmon Don and 1 Yellow Tail Maki. The lady on the phone told me the total will be $68.98. We went to pick the food up and the bill was $98.83. The online pricing and their pricing are different, we questioned why and they said they have just increased their price two weeks ago. Online price showed Tiger roll was $15 each, Seared Salmon Roll was $15, Salmon Don was $15 each and the Yellow Tail Maki was $5 each. But when we paid, the receipt was showing Tiger Roll = $17 each(from $15 to $17), Seared Salmon Roll = $15 each, Salmon Don = $25 each (from $15 to $25 - ridiculous!!!), Yellow Tail Roll =$9 each(From $5 each to $9). Worst of all, there is no wasabi and ginger in other other box. Not very enjoyable and over-priced! Won't go back again! read more

My husband and I have been here two or three times within the past few weeks. The restaurant is clean and the food is superbly prepared and everything we've tried has been outstanding. I'm not a sushi fan, so I appreciate that they have other choices - katsu, teriyaki, and tempura. Service has always been top-notch, we are greeted by everyone (even the sushi chefs) when we enter the restaurant - everyone seems happy to see us. Alex has been our server the last couple of times and he has been amazing. After we ordered another 20-25 minutes for food and drinks and the server forgot my friend's food. Friend was not satisfied so he had to decline the food he was "to be served". If you don't know what to get you can kindly ask the servers and they can suggest you dishes that you may be interested in. Apart from the rolls, they also serve fresh sushi + sashimi.
