Deli is sketchy. Worker handles sink area with serving gloves then serves and hadles your food with same gloves on. Not sanitary.

The prices aren't too good. Imagine it as a larger and slightly cheaper 7-11... that's owned by Fred Meyer.

What I did not expect is that three items I bought on Dec 14-23, 2024, my last two shops were past their use by date, by as much as 7 months!!! It's already my least favorite Fred Meyer, but it's the closest. Bad on them! They were on the front of first shelf I checked. I was so outraged I stopped to review. My review concerns a single incident…read more I'm currently on crutches and have to use an electric cart. This store's carts are outdated - they don't show the battery strengh on the console, My cart stalled while 1/2 way done shopping. I waited 45 minutes for a 2nd cart. The second cart stalled with 4 items left to purchase. A manager told me to wait while he looked for a 3rd cart. He never returned, Instead, he stood 40 feet away chatting with two of his colleagues. After another 57 minutes, another 4th manager, "Kenny" walked up and asked me if aI needed help. He was horrified by my story as I pointed out the other managers still "...standing over there..." Long story short: Kenny got his mother (apparently a senior administrator in the store) to check me through a register while he went to get the 4 items I still needed. After checking out, he loaded my purchases into my car while I walked along side on crutches. The point of all this is, there are all kinds of people in the world. Some care, some don't. My quick trip to the store was 3 hours long. An hour'n'1/2 was just sitting in stalled carts. Thanks to Kenny and his mother, this all had a happy ending.

safeway bakery 20830 108th AVE SE Kent WA I ordered a…read morefull-sheet bespoke cake with a frozen theme on January 4th for my daughter's birthday. She enjoys watching frozen movies whenever she can and loves Elsa. Her birthday was set for January 18 and many friends and families were invited. The frozen motif served as the basis for every purchase. This, however, is what occurred on January 18. In the morning, Safeway Bakery called to inform me that they were unable to fulfill our request for a custom cake. I questioned them how they could say that and why. That day's evening is when I have the event. They claimed that the order taker was inexperienced and that they had neglected to verify the timetable. They stated they could create a different flavor if I needed it and gave me two choices: Marvel or white chocolate. I can select any of these options, they stated, or they will have to cancel the order. I advised them to consider and weigh their options for thirty minutes. I called a few different bakers, but none of them were taking orders for custom cakes with themes. Anywhere, a bespoke cake order must be placed at least 24 hours in advance. I phoned Safeway again and instructed them to use one of the options offered to prepare the cake when I couldn't find another one. However, I was shocked to see the cake there when I went to pick it up in the evening, one hour before the celebration began. The cake was in really poor condition. damaged edges, poorly finished, and cracked in the middle. I've included the images here. I was completely insane. At the time, the bakery was closed, so I was with customer service to see what was wrong. A customer support representative stated that there was nothing he could do. At the time, my sole choice was to select the cakes that were on display over the counter. Since the size was insufficient for what I needed, I chose two different cakes. They simply accepted the price of one cake as their only action. My daughter's birthday celebration was utterly destroyed by them. My daughter had a lot to say. Despite her tears, I managed to persuade her to join in the celebration. For me, it was an unforgettable experience, and I am really unhappy with Safeway's response. People's emotions and sentiments are of little concern to them. They don't take responsibility.

They also contacted my references and communicated to them that I was their number one candidate, which led me to believe an offer was very likely. After that, I followed up three separate times and was repeatedly told they were "continuing interviews." During this time, the position was later reposted with the salary range I had already discussed and was within my expectations. In the final communication, I was told they were "taking their time to find the right fit" and advised that I should move on and accept other opportunities if offered. When I asked what had changed after being told I was the top candidate, I did not receive a response. Overall, the process felt inconsistent and unprofessional, especially after involving my references and giving strong indications I was the leading candidate.
