Although I do most of my shopping via Amazon fresh, products online, or Trader Joe's. If I want good produce, boarshead deli meats and cheese, I will drive to QFC. So far it's more safe than Safeway on 132nd. Most of the time I just check out at the express checkout, but when I do interact with cashier, so far they've been courteous and kind. I only dealt with one rude guy, but I think he was just covering/watching the express section for the gal working there. She probably just needed to use the restroom. Also, the place has been clean including the deli section. So only reason I'd go to qfc is to pick up their croissant bread, boarshead meats, and they have the best avocados when in season. read more

This morning I was at self check out and for some reason the register says "help is on the way" which is weird because I scanned Everything and I just needed to pay. I looked around for the associate who usually takes care of the self check out area . I go to the tall skinny guy wearing a yellow vest and asked if there is anyone manning the self check out , he loudly says "what do you want!" . So I tell him " I don't want anything but your system needs you to clear that message on register! " Before I checked out, I was on the isle that this man was stocking shelves, my son was passing this isle looking for me , I hear the same guy saying so loudly at my son "what do you want!". I don' care if he hates his job, he needs to get a job in the back because this guy doesn't seem to be happy working here. I'm surprised Management hasn't notice this behavior. It's too early to be so grouchy, if he ain't a morning person, he needs to work graveyard . So he don't ruin anyone's morning. Everyone else says good morning. I am currently eating some of the best fried chicken I have had in years. Check out the deli- and the sushi bar is beautiful. Super nice cashiers and helpful stockers, decent selection for a store with such a small footprint. Organic produce selection could be better, but is likely based on the demand. Truly appreciate this smaller store. The employees have Nordstrom customer service. Just spoke to Josh in the meat department to order a ginormous turkey for Thanksgiving. A big part of me finds it odd that the listing is still the full name. Even QFC as a company seems to shorten the name to QFC and I find it appropriate. Why? The Quality has been taken out of the Quality Food Center. Many years ago this was the place to go for all around quality foods - especially produce. These days? Well, let's just say that this is the store that taught me to check the expiration date on everything I pick up. I hope I will warn future customers.  I scanned the cherry myself, and had troubles with barcode of one package.  I asked the worker to help me, then she helped me firstly: canceled and started scanning again.  Then, I'm confused about prices. Sorry, I am an immigrant, and I may not understand something. And I had the imprudence to ask in my imperfect English about the price of cherries, because I got confused.  Further, other cashiers and QFC workers began to discuss and laugh at me.  I am a very non-confrontational person and calm, but even I felt uncomfortable.  I have never seen such terrible service in my life.  I understand that it played a role, that I am an immigrant with not very good English. This place is getting 1 stars because the Asian lady (assuming the front end manager in a black hoodie) was pretty much a rude ass. I asked the cashier for a block of ice, which was at the bottom off the cubed ice in the freezer with 20 bags stacked on top of the ice I needed. I mumbled "how the heck am I gonna get the blocked ice out" and the Asian lady (as she's walking away) mumbles "um idk, take the other bags out?" A smart ass response. So as a customer she expects me to unload 10+ bags of ice, get the blocked ice from the bottom and put all the bags back? Isn't that what they pay the employees for? In addition, the Asian lady was just waltzing around twiddling her thumbs. In the end the nice cashier (Harpreet, I think) saw I was struggling to move the bags of ice (as I dont have much strength) and helped me get the ice I needed from the bottom.. AND he offer me a shopping cart to take my groceries outside. Asian lady came back and was just staring at us as thhe cashier helped. Why was she there? just standing and staring? the world may never know. Anyways, never shopping at this QFC again! In the future, I intend to never shop at the store again. I've heard the rumor that this store is ill filled with inappropriate behaviors toward people who are non-white. The incident today makes me wonder. I have been a frequent to intermittent patron of this store for more than a decade. The selections of the items on the shelf had been attractive and their treatment of customers, including myself, had been average in the past. The prices are higher but I'd been willing to spend extra for the convenience. Well that's no more. Today I was treated as if I'd cut in line in front of someone who I know weren't there before me. Normally that would be a minor incident not worthy of attention. But it's the way the whole thing occurred that was more than just unpleasant. It started with a clerk saying "the check-out register is now open. Who's first though?" and when I looked behind me surprised that there were anyone there, a woman behind me said go ahead in a very degrading tone, as if she has a right to go first. The clerk was unpleasant during the whole transaction with me. Basically I was treated as if I've cut in line and was forgiven by kindness of these people. What?? I was the first to arrive! I was standing ahead of everyone. The clerk was there when the whole isle around the register was empty except for me! He knew. If he didn't, he must be blind. In the past, I have offered my place in line for someone behind me who had much less to check out numerous times at the store. I'm the kind of person who are flexible, reasonable, and honest. I would never ever cut in line. And to be treated by a clerk and a customer behind me with such unpleasant and accusatory attitudes totally turned me off. I did not argue since it seemed doing so would yield no just result for they were already behaving surprisingly skewed in my eyes. It's amazing now that they have added in store pickup due to COVID-19. However, even with that implemented in I am very pleased and it is always a pleasure to shop at this store. The meridian valley QFC is my one stop shop for everything I need. Along with that the store always looks good. I usually go around the evening time, and the evening team is a delight! I would give this QFC a 3.5 star, if I could. QFC is an average grocery store, I went here pre-Covid, so I don't know what has changed that much. This store in particular is a bit smaller then the other ones I've been to. I go out of my way (2.5 miles farther) to shop at this QFC. There are a few major supermarkets that are closer, but I love that I can get in and out of this store quickly without having to walk through a clothing department, or wait in long lines. I love the old-school, small supermarket feeling. Great customer service at the checkstands! You just park your cart and they unload it as they ring up your items, and they usually have additional staff to bag your groceries. read more

Just left QFC a few minutes ago and all employees and customers were wearing masks. I had emailed their corporate office several weeks ago about numerous employees not masked and did not hear from them until today. The representative said she had spoken with the management team and told them they had to comply with local law. There is now a sign at the entrance saying not to enter without a mask and all employees and customers were in compliance. Much relieved that I can continue shopping there. read more

This place is great and only the service at the deli seems to bring this down to 3 stars. The people working at the deli, mainly the 2 older women, never seem to want to serve you. Either they're loaded down with work or don't have the staff, I don't know. These two women are holding on to the preserved meats and cheeses like Al Qaeda is coming for them. The food at the deli sucks at best. Everything is a brown fried shade, with some veggies drying out once in a while and becoming brown also. The deal on chicken is there because it doesn't taste as good as the box it comes in. Even so, the women there will guard it like a Viking horde. When I asked just recently, she shrieked, "I don't have enough", and couldn't do the math to get 2 orders together or just didn't want to do it like I was asking her to weave a rug or something. I can't understand why they're so reluctant to sell their products, and just a few steps away the bakery and the sushi folks seem eager to help or at least aren't looking at me like a frozen hamster unsure of how to proceed. There are never proper signs. At other locations, they have the deli meals and signs and here, there's nothing. Sometimes many of the deli items have no price, and they always look at me and include me in their confusion like I'm a co-worker...like, "how the heck would I know if you don't?". And on the rare occasions I want to get something, the fryer is down, and of course nothing is available since everything is fried. But every You-tube video showing all the street food shows even in developing countries, their fryer is always working...basically a heating element, not a lunar probe. Maybe it's a message to stop eating this crap. They should get a contract through Safeway to operate the Deli. Even the Fred Meyer down the street has more offerings, which I can't understand being so overpriced and all. This was even before the pandemic so nothing has changed really. They're all the same employees and it's not like they have more work giving vaccines or doing tests or stuff like that. It's almost the same at the Seafood counter. I try to figure out which if any of the fish stuff I want, because it doesn't look all that great for the price and they act like they don't have the time to let me choose. read more

They had a 2 hour carnival today at their store. 2 face painters, everyone in costume, ducky bob for apples, ring toss, plinko,bowling, ball rolls, (3) spin the wheels for prizes and it was great. The deli is the worst deli i have ever been too The deli workers are so rude and they never have any hot items that look fresh or good and its always slim pickings, its just not managed well. I was there today and there were about 6 people working in the deli and they were talking to each other and standing around. I stood there for 5 minutes before one of them asked if i needed help. This QFC USED to be my go-to for buying groceries for my very hungry 3 kids. However last week, I had such a bad encounter with one of the employees, Nichole. She was quite rude to me when I was trying to find my son's favorite garlic tomato sauce for spaghetti night. She did not give me the help I needed and even rolled her eyes at me. I aimlessly walked around the store looking for it until a young worker, Andre, helped me find the sauce with ease. I've been shopping at this location for about 7 years. Never had any major problems. Most of the staff is friendly. There are a few that could brush up on their customer service skills. I'd agree with a few of the reviews about the deli lady. I knew EXACTLY who they were talking about. She's the one who is always sweating profusely and looking like she just came off a 3 day drinking binge. I also commonly see her outside smoking while leaning up against the propane tanks that very clearly say, "NO SMOKING". My biggest issue with her is that she gets upset if you order more than one thing from the deli. She starts shaking her head and slamming things around. I always feel like I'm inconveniencing her, just by asking her to do her job. Not a pleasant experience. The young man that works in the deli however, is always very helpful and pleasant. Produce dept. could use some work. Many times I've gone in to grab produce such as oranges, bananas, avacado or apples, and they are frequently not fresh and even a little rotten. Yes, this store is a little pricey, but I always utilize the online digital coupons and pay attention to upcoming sales and that makes it more than affordable. This location has some great sales! The store is always neat and clean and pretty well stocked, although they sometimes run out of sale items quickly. The store is kind of small compared to other local stores, but I actually enjoy that. I like that I can find what I need in a smaller, more compressed area. Parking can be tricky, but if you circle a few times, you can usually find something. Overall, I enjoy this location and it's usually my go-to when I need to grab a few things quickly. read more

I don't normally shop at QFC, but this one is nearby so convenience is good. I think this one is open 24 hours (I'm pretty sure I've stopped in here once when it was pretty late) but don't quote me :) Staff is friendly, there's a Starbuck;s inside. Prices are a little higher than other grocery stores, but not ridiculously crazy. It's clean, a little smaller though than others I've been to, but still a good store if you're in the area and need stuff. read more

I did a HUGE full cart shopping trip at Freddy's for $120 and then went to qfc to refill some produce and a couple other items later in the week and for half their small sized cart it was $65. I had a very unpleasant experience at this QFC tonight at 7:20. My boyfriend and I went in to buy alcohol. Mind you my boyfriend was the one buying it with HIS credit card. He handed the lady (who was very rude btw) his ID and she asked for mine. I did not have mine with me... And i wasn't buying it. She denied us because I did not have my id. My boyfriend then asked to talk to the manager and walked over to her and she denied even talking to him. He had to INSIST on explaining what happened. They then asked him to leave. When I got home I called corporate QFC and they completely agreed with me. The person who buys the alcohol needs to show ID, no one else. Bull crap QFC. I will never be shopping here again. I feel very discriminated against. Later tonight my friend went into the store with his 15 year old son and bought alcohol, but they did not card his son. This store has a benefit of being open 24 hours a day. However, that 24 hours a day is for stocking and it's mostly impossible to weave through the already small aisles. It's very claustrophobic in this QFC. It was very small, then when they added 2 rows of booze, it got even smaller. The first few aisles are kind of scary they are so dark and small. The worst part of this QFC is their over all attitude. Their produce people don't care, their management don't care, it's really like a small town grocer in the middle of no where that treats customers like crap because they just don't care. Their Starbucks counter is probably the worst I have ever encountered. One small lady with blonde/pink hair, with bulging eyes, and a hateful attitude slings things around, gives customers nasty looks and makes rude comments that she seems to think are just casual conversation. This QFC is also way over priced. It's basically a grocery store that has made a convenience store sized location into a small store for immediate needs, but I don't imagine many people buy their entire grocery list here. read more
