This has been my favorite grocery store for years, and I've always enjoyed shopping here…read more Unfortunately, my recent experiences have been completely different. The new staff have made the atmosphere feel unwelcoming. They have been rude, unfriendly, and at times openly hostile. During my last visit, the employee assisting at the self-checkout was dismissive and confrontational. I never asked to speak with a manager, the employee called one instead. The manager took about 12 minutes to arrive, casually stopping to chat with other customers along the way. When she finally came over, she didn't give me an opportunity to explain my concerns. Instead, she was dismissive while walking away. I pointed out that several self-checkout stations had no bags available, and she responded with what felt like sarcastic laughter, giving the impression that she simply didn't care about the condition of the store or the customer experience. Rather than addressing the issue, she shifted the conversation and suggested that my complaint was somehow related to misogyny because she was a woman. That had absolutely nothing to do with my concern. My complaint was about poor customer service, a lack of basic supplies at the checkout, and the dismissive attitude I encountered from both the employee and the manager. It's disappointing to see a store I once enjoyed decline so much. With so many grocery stores competing for customers, treating loyal shoppers this way is a sure way to drive them elsewhere. I sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve the customer experience.

The first thing I am definitely lost without a Google lens here. However I came here with a Russian speaking friend so I already had great guide. I actually loved the variety here - many unique tea - I will certainly try them next time. The Halva and chocolate assortment is really unique here. I got some Ukrainian Marshmallow - umm I don't know if I liked it - it was too sweet. However the eggplant jar - that was sooo good. Absolutely loved it. One thing is for sure I can go anywhere in world and food will be better than American and British. I wanted to try bread but since it was evening the stock was almost empty. I did got a buckwheat bread which is interesting. The place can definitely benefit from a ambience upgrade - feels little messy and can use some organization. Otherwise a top spot !

My wife happened to be in Downtown Auburn at her fav pie shop when she happened to be drawn to this store. From the outside it did seem like a work in progress supermarket. There is plenty of parking on both sides of the store, but the parking lot layout itself can feel a bit confusing and a bit narrow. The shopping carts were somewhat disorganized during my visit, and once inside, I found the grocery selection to be more limited than I expected. The aisles are also fairly narrow, so getting around can be difficult when the store is busy. Depending on the time of day, I can see this location feeling pretty crowded. I also did not notice a restroom available for customers. Overall, nothing was especially bad about my visit, but the experience did not feel very efficient or first-time friendly. There just wasn't much that would make me choose this location over other grocery stores in the area. Efficient: No First-Time Friendly: No Would I Return: No - JY Review
