This is strange. I know I did a review on this store and somehow it's no longer there. I've been in to this store a couple of times. One of the times I came in, I needed to use the restroom. The restroom was a nightmare. It was filthy, dirty, had graffiti and looked old. I was in shock and disbelief!! I've never seen this at any other Safeway stores. How can a store take pride in this? Do they not think that customers would not use the restroom and see this? I hope they improve the restroom situation. read more

The pharmacy staff were fabulous. I'm visiting from out of town and forgot a med at home. They helped me get it quickly despite it being a special order. They were helpful and kept me well advised of cost. The store itself, meh. You have to pay for different things in different areas. Why can't I pay for my deli purchase when I buy my groceries? No fault of the store, but my sister was accosted by another patron and asked why she was wearing a "f'ing mask." Because she just had f'ing surgery and her doctor told her to ya big f'ing galoot. read more

I go check out and discover the Overjoy Trail Mix was put in the clearance Area where the Safeway Select brand should of been placed, in back of the store. It's a Xmas item. So it rang up with no discount at $4.79. I tell the clerk. He looks it up. I go back of the store where I found it and take a photo. He was coughing and seemed like he had a cold and working. He touches my phone screen anyways disregarding that he was coughing a min. ago. I did see him disinfect his hands but I went to disinfect my phone anyways. I already had a sore throat on Sunday and it got better. I don't want to catch another virus. It seems I catch mistakes at check out once every 3-4 visits. read more

This location wants to keep prices high, and not hire enough employees. Self checkout, 10 carts deep. Want to buy eye drops? Both lines in the restricted area are 6 carts deep. This location needs to get it together. All those check out lines sitting empty! Hire more people. read more

Really bad experience here. I was in town visiting my uncle Jimmy and needed to stop for some weekend groceries so i decided ey why not try this place, i been hearing great things from the locals. I get in, immediately overcome wid a big stank from the deli so i go the fuck is that about because i needed some meats (im italian, big meat hog). I go over and get my stuff and the dude gathering my meats is giving me tude im tryna get an answer as to why the shit stank but he says everything is fine and there is no problem almost like I Was the problem. Also trys sellin me short of what i asked for so i correct him respectfully but he keeps on givin me this look.. I keep on truckin and get all my shit, head to the register and get rung up by this really rude dude again. Must be something with the men in this area because holy damn. The meat also gave me really bad poops when i got home and whipped up a salami sandwich so musta been something really wrong with them meats. God damn meats read more

The gas pump asks if you want a receipt before you pump, if it's not able to print a receipt it should tell you that before you pump. I need a receipt and the register is closed. This happens a lot. This never happens at Fred Meyer. read more

I come here about 3 plus times a week as it is down the street from where I live and am notorious for wasting produce! This location always has parking (large lot) a lot of cashiers/ self check out options which allows for a speedy checkout. Also have to say the cashiers are always super friendly, open to engaging into a conversation and work quick! While the staff here is pretty reliable, my largest problem is the organization of all the goods. It is so hard to find anything you've not previously purchased and that could be a damper on a quick run. Biggest perks to come here is the cheap cheap chicken Monday and their liquor/ alcohol selection is pretty good. Be sure to download the app for extra perks like cheap eggs/ juices. read more

So this Safeway is a bit rough. I think I'm in the not so nice part of Kent. It was pretty busy and the checkers were busy with customers and they have a small self check out area and Starbucks. Pretty typical. The super rough part is the restrooms. I travel a lot for work so Safeways are often reliable to have restrooms at the front of the store where I can relieve myself and then go buy gum and bounce. This one the restrooms are in the back near produce. Not a problem. They have a men's toilet and women's toilet. The women's was locked and I'm not going to urinate on myself when there's a vacant men's toilet in my vision. The restroom was not in good condition at all, but made more sense than peeing in the bushes somewhere Therefore I did not purchase my obligatory pack of gum as usual when using the facilities. The manager refused to see us after we needed help with a transaction needing to be reversed. The cashier was unable to do the reversal. As it turns out, the transaction never went through. (We were requesting a refund.) So our only issue is the manager. Part of their job is customer satisfaction. We've had problems with this particular Safeway before, so we've decided to boycott this store and use a different Safeway. read more

Customer service, is the one thing people want when they enter an establishment. If go to this location, you will be dealing with immature employees without proper manners and are only there for their paychecks. Dawn, if you do respond to this, your not fulfilling what you previously told other customers who enter this establishment who dealt with the same issues. Yesterday was my first time shopping at this location and it's my last. If an employee is wrong or misunderstood what you said, apologize and have them repeat themselves. But you decided to make a scene. For the heavyset mix girl, I don't appreciate your customer service when you made a scene by projecting yourself over something so little. Even after explaining, your still wasn't satisfied and yelled that I had an attitude when that wasn't the case. My advice, shop elsewhere or anytime before 4pm. read more

The staff are very rude, their policies are extremely sketchy and don't even seem legal. They demand ID, SS card for items that don't need it, even contacted local city hall and they said that should not have happened. I've seen them yell at customers, security put their hands on them. Items are expired, or warm when out should be cold, the registers are extremely out dated. This company should not be in business It's horrible how they treat people. read more

I just like to make a notice of good customer service when I come across it, I usually order online pick up from this Safeway but lately, since they've lost a certain employee on certain days, the employee that makes my order seems to not care about the items they are choosing! One item in particular was the Safeway brand granola parfait, I was very disappointed in receiving two expired, literally liquid granola parfaits, and when I went in the next day to go return it, I went to find them, and there was a whole bunch of great looking granola parfaits that were nowhere near expired, but they still chose to give me the bad ones now I went to customer service and spoke with mighty T A.K.A. Miss Teresa! She provided me such great service in time that I will still continue to shop here. She deserves a five stars for communication, knowledge, and kindness!! thank you again, mighty T!! and for the mobile pick up order, I've been ordering here for over a year do better whoever it is that needs to do better! I just moved to the area (well, I lived two miles away previously) and this is now my store. Things I like: 1. Convenient - less than two mile from my house, yay! 2. Nice layout - seems bigger than my last Safeway, but may just be the layout. I'm trying to get used to where things are, which is pretty much the same as most with slight differences. 3. Gas station - nice set up for longer lines, my previous safeway had no holding area for waiting, you were just in the parking area taking up space. 4. Parking - great big parking lot, easy to access and not too far of a walk from store 5. Butcher- always friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make sure I'm happy with my meat Things I am not in love with: 1. Cash register lines - way too long, not enough registers open read more

The last four times I have been at this Safeway location, the store has been massively understaffed in the Check Out department. Lines, shockingly long lines. There were 2 Check Stands open two evenings ago........and huge lines trying to use them, also the Self Checkout area (which was recently expanded and supposedly updated) was ridiculously backed up. Whew! I have never experienced this at any other grocery store ever. Frankly I wish Safeway would just leave this location and allow a different Grocery Store to take over. Leaving a review for the Bakery! I ordered my sons 2nd birthday cake from here and was able to pick up the next day. I love how the cake turned out and it was under $30 for a whole sheet cake. They did a wonderful job and the service was great. I highly recommend them for any cakes!! read more

This review is for its Chinese food section. This is one of the few Safeway locations that generously give a spoonful of entree. One bowl of rice and 1 entree costs $7.14 with tax. But they give 3 spoonful of whatever entree you choose. Most importantly, the staffs are consistent with the portion. :) Highly recommend if you are in the area and want some Chinese that is not overpriced, offers great value for money, and delicious. read more

Madison in Starbucks is amazing, she really knows how to make a good latte. I've had others make my drink at other locations and hands down she's the best. Very knowledgeable about coffee and excellent customer service. Jeremy the assistant store direction is by far the hardest working guy I see. He's so friendly you can tell his employees like working for him. Always great to see managers and employees interacting so well together. read more

Stay away from their deli!!! Wish I could give negative ratings. We went there today morning, came across there bakery and my husband asked for jalapeño bagel and I asked for garlic, she said, she is out of it and in less than a second she went inside to get jalapeños bagel, dint give me a second time to choose for other one. it was still morning and she was so grumpy then we took bagel and asked to slice it, she told to get it sliced in deli. We went to deli and a lady was handling raw chicken and we asked her to slice the bagel, and OMG!!! She dint change the gloves took our bagel and started slicing, my husband asked 'you dint change you're gloves, you were hanging raw chicken in it', but she dint understand, then we asked her again, then she replied 'you don't eat chicken' , by that time we had given up, we started leaving then she told go and get bagels again. By seeing the way they handle the food, we dint wanted. but I wanted to tell manager but my husband was like, just let it go, but I felt it's totally unacceptable, food contamination is such a serious thing. Why does your building even have two entrances if you keep one of them CONSTANTLY closed? Hire more security or something because I am really tired of Safeways with their doors locked on one side. It's not a huge deal but when it's 24/7 it's just annoying, hire more people or have a greeter maybe, lots of ways to deter theft instead of eternally closing an entrance. Also, there is like metal railings guiding a path at the one open entrance I literally feel like I'm walking through security for a concert or something. TWO SECURITY GUARDS were standing at the ONE ENTRANCE the last time I went... one of em couldn't have been at the other entrance? I also only went to the store for 2 things and Safeway did not have either in stock (one of which was original redbull..... not a single can of original redbull in the whole store) so I decided to just leave, but remember, the exit is blocked off with railings! It only allows people leaving checkout to exit. So what, you didn't have anything I needed so you're just gonna hold me hostage in your store? I did make it out and let me tell you I am never going to this Safeway again- so understocked & disorganized and the security measure are ridiculous. I'm just going to a grocery store this is not the mall this is not a jewelry store it's Safeway so you can calm down with the security, what are you afraid someone will stead a loaf of bread?! This store is never stocked and is always filthy. Whoever the store manager is here is not doing a thing for the money they earn. They have not had anything stocked at noon for the last year I have been going here. The employees are not all wearing masks every time I go there. Nothing you can do about a customer not wearing one but the employees are not held accountable at all. I'll never go back here again. Five Dolla Friday! Our go to Safeway for all our needs, when we do not feel like going to WinCo or major Costco. Best time to go is late afternoon on Sunday. This place can get packed during the holidays and Five Dollar Fridays. The Deli is good too for JoJos and decent Fried Chicken, Bean Burritos and huge Egg Rolls. The produce is fresh. Staff is cool. Liquor cabinet has service and it is pretty fast, push the button, need help in liquor aisle and someone comes. Boom! This is the best Safeway out of the 2 or 3 Safeways we have here in Kent. read more

Stopped by to grab a few things for a business meeting and changed my mind due to the high prices and really small selection of items. Ended up just buying a Snapple for a ridiculous $2.30. Freaking unreal. Saw five different employees in produce, dairy and seafood as I was looking around. I stared right at three of them to see if I'd get some help but was completely ignored. When I did the self checkout for the drink, the machine didn't print out a receipt so I had to wave someone down. read more

This Safeway is pretty much on par with all the other Safeways. Really long, slow lines that are growing worse by the day. They never have enough clerks on hand to clear the line and according to the employees I've spoken to the new computer system is clunky and slows things down even more. It's so bad I'm starting to avoid all Safeways because the lines are ridiculous, even during the off hours. I'd hate to see what this place looks like during the rush hours!! The store is clean enough most of the time. Produce is either really bad or just okay, I haven't seen amazing produce in quite some time and I'd recommend going elsewhere if that's what you're looking for. read more

This safeways staff is completely unprepared..tonight I was accosted by a customer and assaulted by him while he pushed his shopping cart into me and accused me of stealing. He is a Samoan man with a grey beanie that says samoa on the front of it. He accused me of stealing while I was looking at sandwiches and cakes for my wife's birthday this evening. I tried to yell and flag down THREE staff members and every single one brushed me off. The Starbucks barista shrugged me off and called him crazy, the second one told me "I can't help you I'm off the clock now" and the third told me that he's crazy and that was all the help I could get. I am so disappointed in this store, I shop here 5 times a week PLUS, i know the pharmacists by name and am friends with the bakers because of how often i shop here.and will never be returning to this store now. Extremely hurt and disappointed and would like a call from corporate or higher up management. read more

The only thing I'm satisfied with is the location and the groceries. Management seem to be unfriendly and rude especially towards employees at closing. The security would rather talk leaning against the Starbucks counter versus assist in securing safety at the store site. They stand in one spot, try to be intimidating they move only to smoke outside. Hope this makes a difference to the store personnel. read more

Safeway Pharmacy on Washington Ave South is the worse pharmacy I have ever had to deal with! They never answer there phones have had a rude employee who addressed everyone but me even though I was standing there waiting for help. Dealing with this pharmacy is like pulling teeth! I swear to god... Every time I go in to this place I wonder what the hell I was thinking. The shelves are never stocked. The staff doesn't want to help you, and I have never gotten out of the 10 items or less line without a 30 minute wait. That being said... I once tried to use the restroom here for some crazy reason. The lines are ling. why? Either the cashier is too slow, or not all cashiers issues. Or both. And who can blame the cashier? They work hard. It is understandable when it is late.
