    Poke Large Build-Your-Own Bowl
    Jasmine R.

**BEWARE** I used to come here all the time when it first opened they were great. Not sure what happened. I'm beyond disappointed and wasted over $20 for straight mush. The rice was so bad I couldn't even eat it. If you want soggy mushy rice then this place is for you. Fred meyers has a better poke bowl for $10. Save your money!

    How cute is she?!?!

Always order at the Maple Valley location because this location has the most awesome Manager who is the sweetest and super LE friendly! She makes my old order of dynamite bowl still despite it no longer available on the menu (I think it's equivalent to the new 'Heat Wave'). The food is always fresh and delicious, and the portion is quite large... for to-go/pick up and at location order! The musubi is on point too. A definitely Just Poke spot to stop in! See attached photo of the Manager for attn ;)

The food here is okay. But the person I went with asked for salt on their food and the worker thought no salt was coming out, it was, and just kept shaking it on the food. Ended up with an overly salty bowl that just tasted disgusting. Also, asked if a drink had dairy in it, the worker seemed a little confused and would not give me a straight up answer after I told him I cannot have dairy. Pretty sure I saw them put milk in my drink anyways. The inside looks clean though.

    Miso soup to go.

This review may as well just be titled Confessions of a Poke Addict. Because, well, poke has become my life this past year. And Just Poke has played a huge role in my obsession. It all started with the Bellingham Just Poke, delivering poke goodness through Uber Eats all last summer (aka 2020, the Summer of Takeout). When I moved to the Eastside I was THRILLED to discover a Just Poke location nearby in Issaquah. Then imagine my delight when I noticed yet another (their newest!) Just Poke in Maple Valley, mere blocks from my parents' house. This, my friends, is a true poke trifecta. Just Poke, I recently learned, is a locally-based mini chain devoted to serving up fresh, tasty poke where you can either order a pre-determined bowl from their menu or (my fave) "Subway-style" where you walk down the line and point to what you'd like. My current go-to is the three-protein bowl, with ahi, spicy ahi and either another dose of ahi *or* creamy scallops. I've tried their seared ahi as well. Then I choose all the toppings and sauces...so many to choose from. From classics like seaweed and furikake to their amazingly delicious crab-with-a-k salad (I usually get an extra scoop), avocado, and crunchy onions. And speaking of sauce...well, theirs are amazing. I love the ginger shoyu and the one with wasabi in it. But I've never had a bad sauce there. Ordering online is easy, too. I can customize my bowl just as I can in the store. And it's always delivered fresh in their signature Just Poke Tiffany-blue bag. Oh and if you're a musabi fan theirs is excellent and a nice snack after you're done gobbling down the poke bowl! Thanks, JP for making 2020 (and now, 2021) a little more delicious.

Second time ordered from Just Poke. Good sign right? Last time I ordered Spicy bowl. It was good but then I realized later I don't get to order other protein. So I have learned this time and I build my own bowl. The result is much better. :) For sure this place would be tough for someone that have decision making issue. :) so many choices! My favor protein is baby creamy scallops and kimchi tako. Give it a try next time.

Stopped by here today after our sons baseball tournament! We live in lacey and where in the area for his game and I am so glad we found this spot heading home. It was really good! Poke was delicious, toppings where fresh thank goodness because I am picky with my Poke. The rice was a little hard but not bad. I got the house soyu sauce and my husband and son got build your own bowls as well. Great customer service, clean, everything looked fresh and we enjoyed our early dinner tonight! The Açaí bowls looked yummy as well but we didn't get one. I had the Ahi Tuna and Salmon both, topped with seaweed salad. Great!!! Check it out you won't be disappointed.

This place is amazing! Their protein scoops are ginormous!! Unlike other competitors, their scoops are sad and peony. I eat my poke bowl with tons of toppings and sides; I love the crunches!! Pricing is very reasonable. I love it that it is across from my work. I can just run over and get me some fish!

Spicy tuna bowl with extra mix-ins and toppings

If you haven't tried this place, make sure to stop by and grab a bowl or 2! This place is great. Their service is great, the place is super clean and the food is so fresh! The sauces and spices are spot on. I ordered the large Spicy Tuna bowl and added a few toppings and and mix-ins. Don't be afraid to add a few things bec the flavors will all work. Their brown rice was cooked perfectly and the spicy tuna was just spicy enough where I could definitely still enjoy the food and didn't scorch my taste buds. I'll have to ask them to add extra creamy aioli next time bec that sauce is bomb. Will definitely go back to this place. Love that I can get poke anytime I want now and I don't have to travel too long to get it. Stop by this place! You won't regret it.

All the staff were pretty chill and nice. Love all their smiles. I got my favorite, Beef Stew. I ordered this often in Lynnwood site, especially when I was sick. Regarless, it's on different location, the taste is the same! So, I'm happy about it. The vibe is completely different than Lynnwood one. This restaurant is darker and guests are way louder. Mostly, university students, I think. I like dim light atmosphere, unfortunately, I can't enjoy it much here. Too loud? Too dark? Or it's just not the right light bulbs, it got me dizzy. It was at night, it made the room even gloomy. Upon returning to the parking lot, the atmosphere is somewhat unsettling. This is particularly true for a woman walking alone. To access the parking lot, I had to walk through the darkness to the back of the building. Unfortunately, due to the narrow parking lot, one car was parked in a manner that blocked the exit way, requiring me to reverse all the way out. Overall fantastic staff, fantastic food, but I may not comeback because the vibe just doesn't suit me. This restaurant will most likely be very busy in the better location and fresh look.

I had laulau elsewhere recently, so I was interested in trying their version for comparison. Last laulau ordered here was in 2018! We took 99N all the way to Everett Mall Way to avoid the I-5 commute traffic (4/23/26). We were immediately seated and provided menus & ice water. Pretty much the same interior, no overhead music, and straightforward table service. There were three others dining onsite, but also later overheard phone orders taken followed with brisk takeout pickups. They also have the capacity for catering with product, prices, and serving pan sizes posted on the wall. The Homie ordered the loco moco with overeasy eggs, plus their standard cheeseburger. He was pretty happy with the outcome. Consistent to his previous experience, but also took note of the quality and reasonable cost for the cheeseburger. I opted for the laulau plate which came with the requisite two scoops steamed rice and one scoop mac (Hawaiian style macaroni salad) with a sizeable laulau. I unwrapped the outer ti leaves and cut into the taro leaves (steamed like spinach) to reveal succulent pork and tender butterfish inside. This was great with a little added shoyu. Spot on delicious! The ice water also hit the spot. Perfectly chilled without any aftertaste from a pitcher. None of that tepid water in a stoppered top glass bottle or carafe. Refreshing! Overall satisfying meal at a reasonable price.

I got the combo - Hawaiian chicken + karaage requesting extra salad instead of rice, as well as a half order of loco moco. It's nice that there is half order as a lot of Hawaiian restaurants tend to be full orders so it is incredibly hard to try a variety of options if you're solo or in a small group. The Hawaiian chicken and karaage both are juicy and delicious. It's great that the combo is the same price as the standard individual options so I got to try more variety without paying extra. I looked at the reviews and opted to remove the rice and get extra salad which was a good move - their chop chop salad is very delicious with a nice balance of dressing, cheese, and ham. I still had some rice from the loco moco, which was sufficient for me. The loco moco is good - I wished the patty was a bit less tough but the gravy and egg make up for it. Overall, great value and great food. I'd be a regular if I didn't live so far from Kirkland (1 hr drive for food can be challenging in busy schedules)

Thankfully dine-in is back open again, so we got here on a Saturday morning around 11:20am to indoor seating that was nearly full and a small line that was forming at the front counter. Walls have a bunch of photo frames, and overall place felt very homely. They have a ton of Hawaiian style plates and even burgers and some seafood, though we and most others got the former to eat. I ordered their chicken and pork combo Hawaiian style plate, and my bestie got their chicken katsu Hawaiian style plate. Portions are huge for both plates and both also came with macaroni salad. They give you sooooo much meat no matter what you get. To go in slightly more detail: - Chicken and pork combo: both meats were flavored very well, and a little sweet too though pretty salty without using the rice as a palette cleanser. Chicken had more depth in its flavor; the pork's flavor was a little too much for my liking, and was slightly harder to chew. Both meats had some sauce hat went onto the rice itself. This didn't detract from my overall experience here, though. - Chicken katsu: we both agreed this was our favorite after exchanging pieces of each other's dish. The katsu is crispy and crunchy, and the chicken itself retained a lot of its juiciness. Katsu sauce on the side is honestly optional since the meat itself is already salty enough. This place does share extremely limited parking with Cakes of Paradise next door, so get here early or be prepared to drive around the area to find some. The woman taking our order was incredibly peppy and friendly, even while juggling everything: taking in-person orders, answering phones, serving customers, and bagging food. Seriously impressive. All the seats were filled, so we ordered everything to-go. We got the famous crispy ginger chicken, spam musubi, and chicken long rice. I was hoping for oxtail soup and asked about it--she explained they only offer it on certain days and recommended calling early in the morning to check, then getting there quickly because it sells out fast. Can't wait to come back and try it. Back at the hotel, we feasted. The crispy ginger chicken is famous for a reason--so flavorful, perfectly crispy, and somehow even better the next day. The chicken long rice was packed with noodles directly in the soup (not separately) so the broth had mostly soaked into the noodles, but it was still deeply flavorful and comforting. The spam musubi leans on the sweeter side, which is great if that's your thing. Overall, this place is all about heart, hustle, and seriously satisfying Hawaiian comfort food. Come early, expect a line, plan for parking--and you'll be rewarded.
