Good food! Relaxing atmosphere! What a nice oasis in hectic Breezewood! We were skeptical to try this place. It just seemed unlikely we would find "real" food in this Pennsylvania pretzel-like junction between I-70 and the PA Turnpike filled with a collection of gas stations and fast food called Breezewood. And then there's Moe's Sultan Food restaurant! It serves really delicious freshly-made food from a vast menu, with European and Mid-eastern dishes alongside all-day breakfast and some standard American burgers and fries and soup and salad, and even some vegan selections! We had $6 delicious hot borscht, a classic bright-red Ukranian tomato-beet soup of potatoes and shredded cabbage and carrots, deliciously seasoned with onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. It was a chilly day (Dec 2025), and this light broth with hearty vegetables was the perfect meal. It came with a large warm fresh pita bread. We also got a cute little $3 pot of steeping Baghdad tea with cardamom, the very definition of cozy :-) We had a huge $10 wrap of freshly mixed freshly fried chickpea falafel, lightly crispy outside, tender and moist inside. The wrap was stuffed with veggies and a deliciously creamy tahini sauce. It was so large that we only finish half here, and carried the rest along for a later snack. This was better-made falafel than most restaurants near home, and I think that's because it is literally made fresh when you order it. This is a somewhat time-worn restaurant with seating for 50 in simple comfortable booths. They cleverly shade the windows with bright colorful screen-prints that, on the i side, present international views that are illuminated by sunlight through the windows, but completely screen you from the stream of vehicles and the landscape of gas stations. The counter where you pay has many packaged foods, including regular snacks and some international ones. Mara and a table-server made us feel welcome. For us it was a 30-min stop, because each item was made-to-order. When we want to relax a few minutes with really good food, this is now our go-to in Breezewood. Delicious and peaceful. read more

Driving back from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia we stopped by at the Flight 93 memorial park. We wouldn't have reached Philly until late night so we needed to find a place to eat dinner. We did not want fast food or any of the "mainstream" American fare. Surprisingly we found Sultan Kebob on Google and decided to try. The exterior looks like an old fast food restaurant (I think). As soon as we went in we saw a large group of South Asian family dining, and couple of local people. We were told to sit anywhere we want. The table was a bit sticky, and the decor looked old. The owner came to take the order and he was very friendly. We were all hoping the food would be authentic and good... Surprisingly, the food was good! The flavors were on the milder side compared to what we were used to, but good nonetheless. Now I know where to stop when I am in this area again. read more

Very friendly staff with fresh and delicious food. I used to travel through Breezewood on the regular and happy to see a non-American non-chain restaurant. The location itself has seen better days, it has changed hands many times, and the restroom was a disaster. Not sure how ladies can be so nasty in a public bathroom. Both stalls were unusable but after bringing to the employees attention, one stall was fixed. Hopefully they fix the restroom issue because the food was very good. read more

Best food in around Breezewood ImHO. But may be understaffed. Wait staff didn't have time to clean up a table at lunch as he was juggling six tables. They were out of baba ghanooj so we ordered tabooli (it was ok). Lamb kabob was a hit with the family. Hummus was awesome. My kid didn't share his chicken shawarma. Not a crumb was left on the table. If you are looking for fast food look elsewhere. But if you like good food just be patient. Women's bathroom was broken and the toilet in men's might take a little "figuring out". read more

If you have time to spare, this Middle Eastern / Stans restaurant has particularly good food and is the only healthy non-fast-food option at the Breezewood crossroads of 30, the Pa Turnpike, and I-70. Service is friendly and helpful, but also slow, and the place is a bit dingy. But back to the good food. My fattoush salad (a Mediterranean salad with little pita chips as croutons) was good, and the chicken schwarma (which I had without garlic sauce) was delicious. My wife quite enjoyed the Fatta (hummus, a little bit of lamb schwarma, chickpeas, and miscellaneous salad bits and some sumac, along with those pita croutons), which is not on the menu, but was recommended by our server. read more

The waiter kept forgetting things, the food was minimal for the price (also dry over cooked) and the environment was disorderly, the bathroom was very gross and smelled terrible. Definitely worth getting off the turnpike for a chance at some food from a small business that isn't fast food or a franchise. Very friendly and attentive service. Food was prepared to order, and came out hot and fresh. Meat shawarma was well seasoned with good portion of meat. The falafel shawarma was good, but I was hoping they had a version with more veggies like cucumber and red onion. 7 of us ate at the Sultan Restaurant. We all tried a lot of dishes from soups, salads and meals. Everyone truly enjoyed each dish. Most impressive was all the dishes were prepared by one guy and we didn't have long wait times. All and all it was a a great dining experience. We all said we would go back again. read more

While traveling through Breezewood, my son and I were looking for something for dinner that was not fast food or snacks from the travel plaza next door. We searched Yelp for something nearby that had good reviews, as we didn't want to go too far off route as it was already getting later into the evening. The ambiance was quiet as we were the only customers in the restaurant at the time; another couple came in later. We weren't sure about the place at first since we had never been, but hey, it wasn't fast food, and it had good reviews, so let's give it a try. I must say, the food was absolutely fantastic. I'm basic, and as my family says, plain and boring with what I eat. I tried the burger, which was made from beef and lamb, and to my surprise, the flavor was fantastic. It was juicy and delicious. The fries were seasoned perfectly with paprika. My son tried the shawarma, and he enjoyed it a lot. This will probably be our new place to eat any time we travel through Breezewood on the PA turnpike. read more

We had a great lunch here! They were very family friendly and even gave our kids some free drinks that they loved. We got the hummus, Russian salad, and chicken over rice -- everything was really good. Good dessert and tea also. They're in the same parking lot as the Marathon gas station, so easy place to stop in Breezewood. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for something different or lighter. read more

We stopped to eat here last November, our group was 4 women, one married to a man whose nationality was the same as our server, Mamon. The food was spectacular, and the service was great. For the area, this is the best you will get for Mediterranean. Beautiful plating, and decent food with hearty portions. All the dishes were heavy on the cloves (even some we've had before elsewhere where I wouldn't expect that as part of the flavor profile). Stopped here on a trip back home and it was great. The manager was super nice. I had the Harari soup and my son had the falafel shwarma, both were really good. We also had the hummus baklava. I get on Yelp every time I go through Breezewood and have been continually disappointed. Today was the exception and we discovered they had just posted a listing a few day before our arrival. Casual dining. Fair pricing. Exceptional hospitality!!! The food was delicious and we will be back for the interesting breakfast menu and other items. We read a review recently of this place and was in the area, took the opportunity to try it out. I have Gluten and Dairy Allergies, we told the owner, he notified of all the ingredients in the dishes I was interested in and my husbands meal. Highly recommend this place, The smells of what's cooking in the kitchen, is beyond amazing, the food is so good you want to have more. I had the moroccan tea and the kebab with rice and the garlic sauce so the flavors of the spices were so fresh and amazing . We will be here again. I've been coming through Breezewood for decades and it's a classic tourist trap with basic fast food only. Now there is a from scratch exception--Sultan. Food is great and a unique mix of Middle Eastern and Ukrainian. Decor is nothing fancy but it's clean and service is good and friendly. The food is great. Nice vegetarian options. I enjoyed the falafel shawarma sandwich and the harira soup (tomato lentil) was a bit cool but fantastic flavors. Moroccan tea (green tea plus mint) was lovely too.
