My wife turned me on to Hummus, and each time I've gotten food there, I wasn't disappointed, although I'm not that familiar with the choice of toppings. Recently, I stopped in to get a bowl, and never mind that their bowls are more expensive than other food chains (Chipotle), I like the cultural experience so the price isn't that big of a deal. The girl working the counter was rude and did not understand my order. I am patient when dealing with businesses where the staff isn't fluent in English, but during my interaction, she came across rude and impatient. I give the food a 4/5, but the service a 2/5. I still recommend trying the food and maybe you'll get another server, but just know you may have to be patient when it comes to placing your order. read more

I'm so glad I got to try this gem during my visit to Maryland. As others have mentioned this is like a Mediterranean chipotle, but so much better. The staff members provide excellent customer service and big smiles, which is always nice to see. There are a few tables inside and they keep everything clean. The food is everything you could ever want out of Mediterranean and I love that they're halal. I tried - Create your own wrap - I got the Lamb Shawarma and Chicken Shawarma for an uncharge. I got pretty much all of the toppings (hummus, cucumbers, couscous, tomatoes, tabbouleh, pickled cabbage, turnips, pickled onions, feta, baba ganoush,) and they were so generous with everything. I topped it with spicy garlic and tahini sauces. This was bursting with flavor. Both Shawarmas were so fresh and juicy. The combination of flavors were awesome. 5/5 ($17.49) I also tried their chocolate temptation cake which was so good. My aunt ordered the build your own bowl with pretty much the same ingredients as my wrap and it was awesome as well.. luckily I got to keep her left overs and had them the following day. This place is awesome. I will be visiting my family in Maryland next year and I know I will be coming straight here. My colleague and I tried this place because it was really close to where we were at. I'm really glad we found it! This place is truly a hidden gem! There are a few tables inside, and to order you walk up and select whatever meal and additions you decide to get! The music in here is also a nice vibe. Everyone is super friendly and professional. Hummus Mediterranean Grill is a place I'd overlooked for a while, and I was so wrong to do so! The restaurant is small, but serves food with big flavors. Along the same vein as CAVA, Hummus Mediterranean Grill serves made-to-order bowls and wraps with a myriad of proteins, toppings, sauces and add-ons (vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options are available). Each ingredient is seasoned to perfection, making everything come together beautifully. It was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. The lady assembling my half rice/half greens bowl suggested ingredients that I was a little hesitant to add, but turned out to be spectacular. I highly recommend this restaurant. A delicious gyro at Hummus in Hagerstown. This restaurant was a nice find in a neighbor of Hagerstown that I've never been to before. Their menu has a wide variety of Middle Eastern dishes and wraps and they have baklava and rice pudding as desserts to follow up with, and others not on the menu. I didn't expect this place to be so great but it was quite a surprise given the fresh flavors and variety of food. First off, the custom bowl was something comparable to any of the larger chain names. It was generous in portion size and each ingredient was fresh and not soggy. Compared to that, the fries were of course different but I thought they were extremely tasty and savory. The sauce only added more flavor to it and it's quite hearty in terms of quantity too. Can't say enough good things about this place. Have long wished for more fast casual restaurants in Hagerstown and here we go! The chicken shawarma is wonderful, as are all of the sauces. So so many topping options, all fresh and delicious. The eggplant dip and hummus are both wonderful.
