I have lived in Waynesboro all my life and finally tried the Waynesburger for the first time. With how much people have hyped this place up I was expecting and earth shattering burger but what I ate was far from that. I ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, jalapeños, and bbq sauce. That is one thing that is a bonus, you can order from a variety of free toppings and customize your burger - similar to Five Guys but half the price. Burger was made fresh to order but wasn't anything special. Some more seasoning in the beef, a thicker slice of cheese, and a toasted bun would go a long way. Additionally, one member of our group never received their food. We keep waiting and waiting and then finally went to the counter to ask about his order and they had completely forgotten it. The menu is strange to follow with daily specials written on a sign at counter, some menu items posted above where you order, and other menu it's posted on the back wall. In summary - the burger was average, nothing better than a Red Robin burger. The quality for the price point is fair but I'd rather pay $4 more and get an AWESOME burger. read more

Saw the restaurant while driving to my hotel and decided to stop for a late lunch. The food prices were very reasonable and the food was cooked to order. My Bacon burger tasted very good and had the toppings that I requested with delicious fries to order. Though I was about to get a can of soda from the case, the waitstaff recommended that I try their fresh lemonade. I love fresh lemonade. But I expected it to be very limited sugar and when I got it it tasted like it was lemonade from a soda fountain. I took it back and asked if I could exchange it for something else. I I asked for unsweet tea and was provided again. Something like lipton's tea from a fountain. It was sweet but not as super sweet as the lemonade. They tried to make it work since they knew I wasn't happy with my drink. In the end I would have been better off just getting something from the case as I had planned to in the first place. All in all the meal was good and both my mother and I enjoyed the food we had gotten. The next time I'm in the area I plan to go back and get one of their milkshakes and probably another burger and fries. I would imagine that their milkshakes are very good as I saw other people having them. read more

Stopped for lunch. Decided to get the lunch special- Italian sub with fries and a drink. $14.99. Pretty disappointed. Very skimpy on the meat on the sandwich. Lots of lettuce, which was fresh. WAYNESBORO INTERESTING STORY: Interesting story associated with this place. Three friends & I were coming back home from our Pittsburgh trip Memorial Day weekend 2017. There was a former coworker, who lived in Waynesboro, and I had my friend detour in this direction on the way back to the DC area (of course, we chipped in for gas), but everyone was agreeable to this plan. The afternoon we were leaving Pittsburgh, I reached out to her to say we were on the way. No reply. Now well on the way on the PA turnpike & on the specific highway to Waynesboro, I follow up. She wasn't writing back on text or FB messenger. I was panicking inside as I had my friend drive to this out of the way place, but I had to play it cool. But at this point, we were too far along to turn back. As we get close to Waynesboro, I come up with a pretend location of where she lives close to Main Street, where restaurants were. It's an apartment complex. The friends drop me off, I look like I'm walking in. They were planning on going to some sushi place on Main St for dinner. I was hungry too, but needed to avoid them. I happened to see the friends parallel parked getting out of the car closer than where the sushi place was. Luckily, they didn't see me. I scurry off south of Main to avoid being seen on the same corner as the Waynesburger. I walk discretely to a restaurant that wasn't on Main St, but it had closed early. So, I walk back to Waynesburger (since they were open until 8 PM on Sundays) hoping the three friends were in whatever restaurant eating. RESTAURANT: The restaurant itself was cute like turn of the century 1890's decor. The cashier was cordial, but I'm in a panicking fog not enjoying my time in Waynesboro. I think I got the double burger and a sweet tea. The burger was quite good as was the sweet tea. This made my time in Waynesboro a little more tolerable. AFTERWARD: I rushed back to the apartment. I texted them saying that I was ready to be picked up. They said that they were on the way to ice cream. I said I want ice cream too!! I hid in what I thought was a discrete spot until they were here, but they went on the wrong street, but they didn't see me. They finally texted they were here. I counted down a certain amount of time as to seem like I was leaving the apartment. I told them that she needed to get her kid ready for bed. They asked if I had eaten, and I said yeah she made some food for me. I acted chipper like I had this amazing time with this woman, but I knew what really happened. She wrote back the next day profusely apologizing saying that she left her phone at a friend's place. read more

This is a lovely staple of Waynesboro! Although they specialize in burgers, they really shine with all of their Greek options. My family goes there for the gyros and the Greek fries! Always tasty. Their milkshakes are good too. Personally I found their chicken noodle soup oily, and their burgers dry, but the other options on the menu make up for it. read more

Omg! What can I say about this place? It's so far away from me (in Northern Virginia) but every time we drive to Waynesboro to visit my wife's family we come in for the famous Waynesburger and the seasoned (feta and tzatziki) fries! I absolutely love hamburgers, and while on the thin patty side these babies are bursting with flavor that has no comparison. I don't know what it is about this place, it I can't quit you! Honorable mention: Amazing milkshakes with so many flavors it'll make your head spin! And they'll mix/match whatever you want!! They also have chili which I've been meaning to try; but I'm so full after the burger, fries and milkshakes. :/ next time I'll just take the chili to go! We always park on the street and just walk in but I think there's a parking lot around the side/back of the building. read more

Great food. The burger was really good, but the meat itself should have more flavor the fries are the best I've had. The milkshake was excellent. The kids ate a dog the bun and dog were pretty good. The restroom how ever felt dirty and no fucking changing table... so we changed the two year old on the dinning table and left the dirty diaper on the table, now it's your problem. The Best Burgers in South Central PA The Mrs. and I dropped in about 2:30pm and we were initially very impressed with the fine open space. Seating even included soft leather-like chairs around dark wood circle tables. We were greeted very cheerfully and some of the menu items explained to us. This is NOT YOUR TYPICAL BURGER HOUSE.. Everything was prepared quickly exactly as we asked for it. While we were eating our host brought over a small sample of their chili so I could give it a try. I have passed this restaurant a few times on my way back from waynesboro A friend and I decided to stop and get a burger hence the name the food came out pretty quick it was good they serve your dinners on metal trays the fries where pretty good burger was nothing spectacular but they do have a ton of shake options which was fun trying to decide I settled with the banana fosters shake it was the best part of the dinner.
