A must go place when in Waynesboro!!! Love the food!!! Staff is personable and the atmosphere is nice.

I decided. To give the parlor house another that was a huge mistake. By time I sat down 10 minutes before a waitress took no order. And when I finally got my order 15 minutes later. She had put her hands-on my toast and my eggs were undercooked. Save yourself the time. And money and do not go to this waste of a restaurant. I wouldn't even recommend my enemies to eat there rather read more

The last time I was at this slop house. The waitress put her hands all over my toast before I got my food. 1012 years ago, this was a good restaurant. But things have definitely changed. I wouldn't recommend this to any place and the food is about as bland as possible. Not only does the food suck but the service is just as bad read more

Things are much better! Yes, they were quite busy. Ariana was a wonder server. Order taken and filled perfectly. The cooks had their act together and things came out of the kitchen much quicker. Food was delicious, no complaints. They have come back to where they once were during this visit! Wonderful!!! read more

Food well prepared and tasty!!! Service excellent!!! Also done in a timely manner!! Highly recommend this establishment!!! read more

Food was very good and the service was spot-on Everyone was friendly and we had a very good time The atmosphere - there isn't any - but the food and their prices make-up for it read more

Absolutely love this place! All of the food is cheap and delicious, along with the service being excellent too. All my food came out very quick which was nice to see. The ambiance of the place itself is like those old roadside diners that I like. If you're in the area definitely give this place a try! read more

Breakfast was amazing as usual. But the roast beef wasn't good and the cherry pie was sour.

Breakfast was amazing! Breakfast specials were very reasonably priced. Sat out selves and the service was on point with the few staff they had. read more

Man where else can you get a crab cake for $8? I took a client for lunch here and the bill was $20. My accountant will probably question my write off. The crab cake was really good, had nice hunks of crab and came on a simple bun with cole slaw. My client got a massive chef salad and soup. He loved it. He's a local and goes there often so it was his choice. Our server was awesome and we were served pretty quick. I'll definitely be back here again (that's if my CPA allows me to lol) read more

The Parlor House - Crab cake sandwich - American Near Me - Waynesboro, Pennsylvania

Good local food. Good American fare. Very filling. Good desserts. I don't have anything more to say about it.

So I found this place in my travels and thought I would give it a shot tiny little place they've been around forever our waitress was Laura and she did an amazing job and the food was pretty good read more

The quality of the food has been steadily decreasing. We went for their annual Thanksgiving dinner today and it wasn't very good. My mashed potatoes were cold and had to be sent back. Normally their mashed potatoes are made there but these were made from a box. The gravy on bith the potatoes and turkey was congealed when we got it. Very unappetizing. read more

Average food... waitresses are all very nice and do a good job... it's OK if you wanna wait 40 - 50 minutes for a simple breakfast. Seating is terrible at times... they have chairs up on and styrofoam containers stored on what could be available seating, with people waiting in line to get one. This is possibly do to the fact the grill and kitchen seem undersized/understaffed for the amount of seating available. I go there for breakfast sometimes because there aren't many breakfast places around other than fast food... but the wait times are about to change that. I can make better and much faster at home. read more

5 minute wait at the door, quick service nice waitress. Took 30 minutes to get 2 pancakes with scrappel witch was Lukewarm

Homestyle cooking restaurant. Great breakfast. Love the pan fried chicken. Wednesday is slippery beef pot pie. Order the harvard beets as a side. Really good pies for dessert. It is close to home, so we do a lot of take out from there. Senior and lunch specials Prices are reasonable. read more

VERY Cheap, Decent Food, Greasy Spoon Feel I went here with my parents when we were looking for a quick, mid-week lunch. I rarely go to the Hagerstown area anymore (especially out to eat) and my parents aren't usually the best judge of places, so I was a bit fearful. First, let me say this, you WILL see a lot of older folks here, but one side of the restaurant is more of a diner-style, which seemed to be a bit less "senior-home-like". It just seemed more lively and reminded me of a roadside diner you'd see somewhere in the Southwest or Midwest. I'd sit on that side next time if I ever go back. You can't beat the prices. Honestly, I thought I had went back in time 20 years. Hamburgers and fries for $3.50. The most expensive meal I remember seeing on the menu was $12.50 and I think that was for a steak. I ordered a salad and the orange roughy. Portions were a bit small, but you aren't paying much at all, and I've had less and dropped over $30 before at other places. The fish was excellent. Ordinary, but perfectly cooked and seasoned. Only downside is the service. Our waitress was great, but the table across from us got tired of waiting on their food from the kitchen and was walking out when it finally appeared. There is also a very odd, "Deliverance" type guy who buses the tables, but he seemed harmless enough. read more

Mom & Pop Diner with VERY cheap local food choices. Husband goes there weekly with the parents and I go there when I'm craving a really delicious affordable spinach salad. It really is GREAT. They have daily specials and the food has never been bad. Cracks me up how everything is served on its own little plate or bowl, main course PLATE, side vegetable LITTLE BOWL, bread LITTLE PLATE, Second side LITTLE BOWL/PLATE ~ they must do a million dishes everyday or have a goal to cover every tiny inch of the table. FYI waiting for food I want to straighten all the crooked ancient pictures on the walls. Don't get me wrong, LOVE the pictures. They are VERY cool, just could be done right if updated at least to the 1990's....anyways, THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD. AGREE, you WILL see a lot of older folks here, but it feels pretty good being the youngest in the room when you haven't been the youngest in the room in awhile. Prices are amazing and you get quality food and great portions. Service can be a little "relaxed & slow" but at the median age of the customers.....where do they have to go? THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD read more

Nothing fancy but good food and friendly service. Not many breakfast options in Waynesboro but this fits the need. Good place to stop for comfort food and a friendly, small town atmosphere. read more

The Parlor House has been around for years and is a staple of the Waynesboro area. They have decent food and is a great location for good meal for a family on a budget. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and have great options no matter what time of day. I recommend the pork chops, Captain's Haddock, pancakes, or broiled chicken. Can't go wrong with any of these. They also have some of the best french fries in town. They recently updated the interior which was long overdue. Really makes the place more inviting and less dark/gloomy. The staff is well trained and attentive to the needs of the customer. Orders are taken quickly, drinks are kept filled, and the restaurant is kept clean. It's important to keep in mind most of the customers are older and the place is usually busy between 4:30-6 each night. read more

We went to the Parlor House for my mother 98th Birthday. There were 7 of us. We did not have reservation but the hostess did put number together and the waitress were very friendly and kept asking questions on things. And the other person made sure our drinks did not go empty that for sure. And the place was quiet and clean. - George read more

Love the Parlor House!! Steak is good size for the price, soup is delicious, staff is polite. Price is well worth it. Will be returning!

First time here. Not impressed at all. I got a tuna melt. One piece of bread with very little tuna on it and cheese and tomato. I asked for Onion Rings and I had onions on my melt. Not impressed at all. My wife had the grilled turkey wrap. It was one thin slice of turkey and melted cheese on a wrap. Looks nice here and has a nice Diner feel. Sorry. read more

my husband and i love coming here for our breakfast on saturdays. they have such great specials and the quality of food is always amazing. the waitresses are so friendly and handle being busy very well! the onlyyyyy thing i would change is i wish only the people wearing gloves handled the food instead of waitresses also handling food since they are also touching money and dirty plates and what not. read more

I must say I was truly surprised for the Parlor House food. Our waitress for one , she may been having a bad day because she was not very nice, our Hostess checked on us more than our waitress did how sad . Part of my food was cold & I caught our waitress who was still walking while I was trying to ask her for something which I hate & when I got what I asked for it looked as sloppy as the waitressing she was doing . So I think I will stick to stopping for breakfast there but not dinner because that wasn't at all well to do . My dinner & my husbands had a lot to be desired . The waitress looked tired & overwhelmed & took it out on your customers. For this all I only give is 2 Stars , it was 1 star but gave the extra for the Hostess that was one A1 ! read more

Was a wonderful experience. Sister, brother & I stopped for lunch. All 3 of us had the liver & onions with 2 sides. Very healthy portions of liver & I had xtra grilled onions. Good old home town cooking in a home town setting. The breakfasts are cheap and great. Try the fried scrapel with syrup. Their chef salad is huge and very good. My favorite sandwich is a tie between the crab cake or the turkey club with a side of french fries. I believe they're batter dipped or something, but they are very good. People claim their fried chicken, crab cakes, and slippery pot pie is the best in this tri state area. They have a delish beef rice soup that is thick and filling. They have a great assortment of desserts, I prefer the lemon meringue pie. read more

If you are not a local service can be flat out rude. Someone else said small town atmosphere and they were right. If they don't know you the waitress will walk right by you without a word. She did it several times serving other newer customers before us. It got to the point where we started counting how many times she would pass us up. Food was plain and nothing special. Bland. Cheap but still not worth the hassle and quality. read more

Family decided to eat here yesterday. I was apprehensive, but agreed. We seated ourselves and the wait began . After about 10 min someone came over and asked what we wanted to drink. She bought our drinks back, and we waited some more. Another 15 minutes finally the waitress came and took our food order. And we waited. Another 15 minutes we finally got our food. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with Swiss cheese and mushrooms, and it was really good. I just don't think the food was good enough to warrant the wait . The waitress was very friendly but I think I've seen the last of the parlor house. There are to many other restaurants in town, that want my business. read more

This unassuming restaurant is nestled in a shopping center beyond a somewhat frustrating parking lot. It doesn't look like much from outside, the entry foyer doesn't even hint at it being a restaurant. The online reviews were mixed, so we passed it by for a year. When we finally ventured in I regretted the hesitation. The right side is a retro feeling dinner decor complete with lunch counter. The left is a dining room able to accommodate larger parties. The menu is varied. From egg salad to seafood. Every server we've had has been great. The hostesses have been aloof and taken a long time to greet customers, but were never rude. The food we've had has all been good. Some of it has been outstanding. The Beef Rice Soup is divine. It's like slow cooked pot roast by the spoonful. Hubby really enjoys the Cheeseburger Sub. I've tried the Captains Platter which consisted of 3 small fried fish bites. It was tasty, but not at all what I expected and I felt a bit expensive. The Broiled Haddock however was AMAZING! Done just right and seasoned perfectly. It was firm, sweet, and not fishy at all. They also have a list of daily specials maybe 8-10 long. Our kids have enjoyed the kids menu as well. The Spaghetti portion was ample and filled our big kid up unlike some mini sized kids meals. Grilled Cheese is another favorite. And my little kid always loves her Hot Dog, for less than $2. For my dining dollar, the Parlor House gets 5 stars. Nice people, clean restaurant, and yummy food for a great price! read more

Good comfort food at very reasonable prices. I found the staff to be attentive and on point. No frills, but well cooked diner food.

Home make diner-style food. We come here often for convenient, inexpensive food and the senior menu specials. It can be hit or miss however. I love salmon cakes, but at times they can be overdone and dry. The hamburger steak also has a tendency to be a little dry. The service is usually quick and the beverages are frequently refilled. It has a tendency to be very busy at times; but reservations can be made for parties of 6 or more. read more
