Our servers Michelle was super friendly and gave us suggestion and checked on us periodically. I ordered the Chili it was super fresh full of flavor it sure was homemade. The boardwalk fries were better than the Beach fries I loved them so much I'm taking some to go. If you live in the area or are visiting make sure you stop by and taste everything they have on their menu. The restaurant is spacious so bring your entire family. I chose the fries and for a surcharge one trip to their salad bar. The fish had a nice crispy coating and moist interior. The flavor was ok. Fries were crispy and hot. The salad bar had a good variety of items and dressings, though the veggies, while ok, were not the freshest. My partner got the fried whitefish special. Last time I got it there was not one piece of meat in the entire container. literally just cream cheese and whatever else. I had to make another meal for myself because I felt there just wasn't enough protein or nutrients in my food. and I paid like $15 for it! not doing that again. I also recently tried getting the grilled chicken wrap. I ordered it to go with sweet potato fries and a sweet tea. I received regular waffle fries and an unsweetened tea, which wasn't even the most upsetting thing about my order. The wrap barely had any chicken in it! the bits were so tiny. It was a wrap of basically just tortilla and lettuce, some tomato, almost as much tomato as there was chicken. it's really sad how bad everything has gotten that even the local places you thought weren't changing, end up feeling really shitty.

You are now greeted in the vestibule by a host. The decor hasn't changed much, the charm remains. They use tablecloths and paper placemats, and while our placemats were new, the tablecloth had food drips and crumbs. We ordered ice tea that had the distinct taste of being brewed through the coffee maker. Sometimes thats just a hint, but this was overpowering. Their wings have always been a favorite. These were still a good size, but while they came promptly, they were not hot. They were extremely saucy, and almost gummy, none of their former crispness, and cold. It seemed as if they had been sitting around. Everything is now a la carte. We each ordered sandwiched and shared an order of fries. Their sandwiches have previously been really solid, the burgers especially, substantial portion on hearty rolls. Now they are on small fluffy "sub" rolls, which would be mistaken for a hotdog bun. My French dip was confirmed to have cheese, it came without. It was extraordinarily dry, tough, and not enjoyable. My husband's brisket was very small, and also dry, he was offered BBQ sauce. With the new menu and pricing, they also charge for each sauce and topping. The menu mentions it, and they enforce it. When the bill came, we were charged for the missing cheese, as well as BBQ sauce on the brisket, which seemed like a given but clearly was not. So just be aware that they mean it when they say a la carte, its not just a matter of sides being extra. I guess I expected to pay for sides, but did not expect sandwiches to be completely naked. We also noted that the prices we were charged differed from the menu prices. Im assuming thats an oversight and they will catch the errors. Another table ordered a steak that looked quite good! The cream of crab smelled good as it passed by. So I hold out hope that they will find their stride and succeed.

Then, who I'm assuming was the manager since she had a different colored shirt on, quickly handed my husband a couple of bags and walked away without saying a word. My husband and I were trying to figure out if the bags were even ours because there were multiple orders packed together. I was trying to count everything quickly since there were cars behind us. No "here's your order," no "have a good day," not even asking if we needed anything else. The lack of communication and customer service was honestly disappointing.
