Stumbled into this BBQ restaurant with my husband while we were in town over an hour from home. We…read moregot there just as they opened for the afternoon and had high expectations based on the rave reviews from the others dining in while we were debating what to order. I ordered ribs since one of the diners said they were better than anything she has had (and she is a Texas native) and BOY they did not disappoint!! My husband loves brisket so he opted for the brisket sandwich, plus we got a pulled pork sandwich just to try out another meat. You can get the meat dry or with BBQ sauce. They also give you a bottle of BBQ sauce to add more as you please. For the sides, we had the mac and cheese, candied yams, corn on the cob with butter, cornbread, and smoky beans. All were absolutely amazing. The rib bones pulled right out of the slab. The brisket was moist and so, so, so good. The prices are so reasonable, especially compared to the big chains we have near us in Harrisburg, PA (looking at you, Mission BBQ...). This was less than $15 for a sandwich with generous meat portions AND TWO SIDES! Incredible. The ribs were $28 for a rack plus two sides, which is more than fair. The food was AMAZING, yet the service was even better. We had the privilege of talking with the owner, who let us know today is their last day at the Walnut St address. They do plan to open down the street at the carwash sometime soon. Lots of customers seem to be frequent visitors and the owner even offered to do delivery to elderly customers who walk over to the restaurant. The employees clearly love working here and we can see why!! I am not joking when I say we will drive over an hour just to eat this BBQ again. The owner and employees are amazing people and I hope they thrive in their next adventure. 10/10, HIGHLY recommend.

They have been at this location for a year (as of February) and this place is a hidden treasure for amazing BBQ When I tell you the ribs were fall off the bone, I'm telling you they were no joke. The chicken they served was fall off the bone as well. and top it off, the collard greens were on point. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone traveling in the PA area

So this is a local place as far as a I know but I hope y'all haven't been bought out or something…read morebecause the quality has declined A LOT over the past year. I live in the area and I've eaten here a good bit. I've ordered crab dip continuously for like 3 years now and I won't order it again due to the last few times i've gotten it. There used to be a considerable amount of meat in the dip so i'd order it and then get fries on the side as my entire meal. Last time I got it there was not one piece of meat in the entire container. literally just cream cheese and whatever else. I had to make another meal for myself because I felt there just wasn't enough protein or nutrients in my food. and I paid like $15 for it! not doing that again. I also recently tried getting the grilled chicken wrap. I ordered it to go with sweet potato fries and a sweet tea. I received regular waffle fries and an unsweetened tea, which wasn't even the most upsetting thing about my order. The wrap barely had any chicken in it! the bits were so tiny. It was a wrap of basically just tortilla and lettuce, some tomato, almost as much tomato as there was chicken. it's really sad how bad everything has gotten that even the local places you thought weren't changing, end up feeling really shitty.

The menu has a nice variety of comfort foods to choose from. Turkey, meatloaf, etc., fried and broiled fish, burgers, etc. Portions are generous. I tried the fried haddock with 2 sides. I chose the fries and for a surcharge one trip to their salad bar. The fish had a nice crispy coating and moist interior. The flavor was ok. Fries were crispy and hot. The salad bar had a good variety of items and dressings, though the veggies, while ok, were not the freshest. My partner got the fried whitefish special. I suspect it was catfish in a seasoned breading. It was very good. Overall, the visit was satisfying, and I could see myself returning in the future for good, not outstanding home cooking.

Give up the dressings and put more food on the salad bar. Ordered the broiled fish and it was so rubbery you could not cut it. Told the waitress and she only offered another piece of fish. No you screwed up the first piece why would the second be any better. This place has gone down hill. So many people around us complained about their meals. So many tables needed bussed. We will not be back. So sad to see this place change and going downhill.
