Samosa Chaat

Little place with lots of menu items! Ordered the samosa chaat which was yummy - but the Rasmalai dessert was seriously SO amazing (we didn't even get a picture of it, ate it too fast!!) great service, polite staff and small but clean seating area!

I love coming to Hinzi's Kitchen because it is a great lunch or dinner spot. I usually eat here during my lunch time and the food is always hot and delish. My fave is the bowl and this last time I created a bowl with chicken and gyro. The mango lasso never disappoints and the fries are always nice and hot. I'll be back for sure.

Hinzi's kitchen is a hidden gem! I found it on Google maps and decided to stop by with my husband for a quick lunch when we were in the area. It's so cute and cozy inside. It actually looks like a cafe. I love the furniture and decor. It seems like a great place to study (not sure if they have wi-fi though) or catch up with a friend over yummy Pakistani food. The service is good here. The person who took my order was friendly and was glad to answer my questions about the menu. I ordered the paneer tikka masala kati wrap. It was flavorful and filling. I also ordered the masala chai which was SOO good! Perfect drink during cold weather. The masala fries were disappointing though because they came out kind of soggy. The flavor was good though.

This place was okay. The vibe is very casual and the service is pretty fast so it's great for a casual meal or meet up. However the food was below average imo. The wrap didn't have much flavor and the bowl had too much sauce in it. I got the bowl with greens only and there was barely any lettuce in there...not a salad at all. The Chana was pretty good in the samosa chaat though!

Expectations: To try something new... never had Pakistani food before- and something casual but sit down. The service: excellent customer service. They walked us through the traditional dishes like chicken biryani (on weekends) and a sandwich that I like.a Pakistani gyro. We had no idea what to order so the explanation helped. I do think a picture menu would be helpful. The Food: both my husband and I cannot wait to return. Both dishes mentioned above were flavorful and actually complimented each other nicely! We just kept sharing and neither of us could decide which was better! The place is small- it is inside the previous Boxcar Burgers joint- - probably has ten tables - if that. However- I think any of the food we had would be excellent for take out as well. The place is adorable inside though. Desserts too! They had a counter with cupcakes and mini desserts. We tried the Biscoff Mouse. It was light and airy and not overly sweet. A perfect ending to a perfect lunch! I'm excited to have this in Frederick.

Honestly I would love to leave 5 stars because they're usually on point. But, they have started cutting back on quality. I usually get the butter chicken pizza which never disappoints, but the last one I ordered was half the size that they normally are. They have started making much smaller portions but charge the same. It's super disappointing because this was one of my favorite restaurant in the Frederick area.

I wanted to try something different so I grabbed takeout from this new Pakistani restaurant! I tried the Samosa Chaat and Aloo Tikki Roll. It came with a couple dipping sauces including a mint chutney. The Samosa Chaat was my favorite! The sweet tangy tamarind flavor balanced out the savory mint chutney and other toppings made for a great dish! The crunch of the samosa was perfectly complimented by the soft chickpeas and other toppings. The Aloo Tikki was something I had never tried before and it was good but maybe not my favorite as the spice combination was different than what I am used to, but I'm glad I tried it and the homemade paratha was delicious! The staff was super nice and friendly! Online ordering was super easy and pick-up was seamless. It was decorated super cute and I would recommend to eat-in if you can.

Dined in for the first time at Hinzi's. It's a cute restaurant set up with counter ordering, a small waiting area with colorful couches, and a few tables. Prompt and friendly service - a husband/wife who are enthusiastic about sharing Pakistani cuisine with Frederick. We enjoyed everything we ordered: their signature chai (not overly sweet which was a pleasant surprise), beef mantus (fried dumplings), samosa chaat, and chicken kathi roll. The food was well-seasoned and a little spicy (we love the heat though). My only critique is to add reusable plates and silverware for those who choose to dine-in to cut down on the plastic. We're excited to see this new spot with diverse dishes open up in our neighborhood!

Over the years I've seen this location in particular go through multiple restaurants some were pretty good to be honest but I guess each just fell short of attracting a customer base that is loyal enough to keep the lights on and I really hope that isn't the case with Hinzi's Kitchen. This place is a delight. As someone who lived in this city their entire life I've seen it go through significant changes and many for the better and one thing I'm super happy about is the rise of diversity. I've never had Pakistani food so I'm ecstatic to have some so close to me now especially when it's this good. Everything I tasted was bursting with flavors that I never knew I needed in my life lol The owners remodeled everything incredible. I couldn't believe the change when I first walked in. I've been to 100s of restaurants and the owner was top 5 friendliest.

To me, I think all halal restaurants are kind of one and the same, but I do like the quality of the food. Could use bigger portions.

I REALLY recommend getting the boneless version (even though a few bucks more) such a pain to accidentally bite into bones while eating (even in the sauce!!). Loved how steaming hot the dish was and how perfect it was to share. It comes with mini salad and two big pieces of naan. Salad was lowkey bland btw. And FYI: rice is not included!! Also loved the chicken tikka. It came with two drumsticks and a few smaller pieces (don't remember exactly), but it was honestly super moist and tender meat. It literally fell off the bone, so soft and supple. I miss having this in my mouth. Again, rice not included!! Haven't encountered prices this good for Indian food in a while. I'm def taking advantage of it while they're still low, haha. It's been forever since I've seen a biryani for $14 or less, wow. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating. The staff member who took my order was a bit condescending and seemed lowkey miserable, but it didn't ruin my view of the place. Someone else taking orders later on was much kinder, so maybe the first guy was just having an off day.

We had essentially an entire meal leftover between the 2 of us to take home . Try finding that value at any other place! Dining area was clean and comfortable with plenty of seating and tables that can seat large groups. Spice level is decent, which we appreciated. :) Other reviews mentioned a language barrier but we didn't experience that. In fact, counter service was extremely friendly and the manager came over to check with us before we left on how our meals were. We will definitely be back!
