Sujok and lentil soup. Sujok is shredded beef mixed with cheese. It is great with the excellent tzatziki sauce.

We were out for a drive on the first sunny spring day in a week. The Yelp reviews for Potomac Street Grill brought us to this nice homey restaurant for lunch. The waitress brought the large menu and answered all our questions about the food. I asked about the sujok and was pleasantly surprised when the owner brought me a sample. It is lightly spiced shredded beef mixed with cheese served on a homemade roll. It was flavorful and filling. The tzatziki sauce was an excellent accompaniment.

Great food and service. Had the crab soup and BLT. A very extensive menu for a small restaurant.

This was the best shawarma I've ever had. The way that the spices intermingled with the rice and the juices of the lamb and chicken purely created a painting of flavor in my mind. I can't live with the fact that I couldn't finish it

My family ordered from this restaurant because, we wanted to eat something a little different. I love the falafel and the Gyro. The BBQ sandwich has a nice flavor too. The food is flavorful, simple, and I don't feel heavy after eating it. I'll definitely be returning. The service and the people are super nice.

Nice cold draft beer while sitting on the patio :-)

This is my new go to spot in Brunswick after riding on the C&O canal towpath! They've got a really nice little patio for outside dining, the service is excellent, and the food is outstanding! I've had the chicken curry and the chicken Shawarma so far and both were really really good. I will definitely be back the next time I ride from Brunswick :-) Back at the Potomac St., Grill today after a 30 mile ride on the towpath and once again PSG did not disappoint! 2 of us had chicken Shawarma and one of us had the chicken curry and mussels..mmm. Please show your support by checking out this fantastic little venue, the owner is doing everything he can to stay in business!

Watching our ponies out the window while we dig into THE BEST food!

Great meal in a cute little town...ended up here after restaurants in Harpers Ferry were too crowded and it was a nice surprise.

Service was good, but food is god awful. Asked for soup & got cold soggy fries. Rarely ever write bad reviews but can't help it.

Great food! Good service, could be cleaner, but the I'm sure the one waitress working was swamped with work, she was great though!

The converted church space gives it real character, and the atmosphere is warm without trying too hard. The staff were friendly, quick to engage, and kept things moving even with a steady crowd. Bonus: live local musicians doing a pick up session! Food and coffee both landed well. Vegetarian friendly, fresh, balanced, and clearly made with care. It's the kind of spot where you can settle in for a quiet hour, meet someone for a casual lunch, or for C&O cyclists, refuel with a solid drink and good service.

The biscuits and gravy are quite good, and the pricing is very reasonable. I was surprised the Mexican Coca-Cola was not cold, but they were kind to offer a cup of ice. The lemon meringue pie was fantastic, but it could always use more lemon. As were the chocolate twists, which were like twisted croissants. The prices are very reasonable! Be sure to tip, because even though you walk up the place you order, they do bring it to your table. With the good prices tipping makes perfect sense here. Comfortable chairs, chill vibe, 90s music, gorgeous bathrooms, and a selection of food, drink, and libations, I am very much a new fan.

If you're looking for a place that is loud, with well intentioned but unskilled teenage servers serving hit or miss food at top dollar- this is exactly the place for you. If you want an environment that cares more about selling large quantities of alcohol to already intoxicated people, you've also found the place. The prime rib couldn't have been worse if they tried. It tasted like it had been bathed in liquid smoke and salt water. The meat was over cooked for the medium I ordered and it had the consistency of a cheap sirloin that can only be achieved when you don't take the time to cook it correctly. The au jus was too salty and Smokey to use- literally like a 50/50 mix liquid smoke and saltwater. The baked potato was ok on the inside but the skin and about 1/2" of the outer portions were tough as shoe leather. I don't know how that's even possible. Drink refills were few and far between. The servers are all great kids from the local high school who try hard, but the only reason they got a tip was because they are local kids that my kids know- not because the service was great. Let's talk about the noise for a minute. That place has tables crammed into every inch of that musky smelling old home. When you add in drink servers who are motivated by money and enabled by a lack of leadership- you get a bunch of loud drunks. Throw in live music and you're guaranteed to have a place so loud you can't hear anyone at your table trying to talk. The banana pudding used to be our favorite so we ordered two to go, we ended up throwing one away and the other was left half eaten. It tastes like store bought pudding with cheap whipped topping- nothing else. We have a three strikes rule and this was strike #3, definitely not coming back here. If you want quality food for the masses, Andy's down the street has great pizza for a fraction of the price of this place. Daughter Thai across the street is about the same price point as 1836, but offers consistent quality in their food with an atmosphere perfect for a family dinner. If you're looking for overpriced bar food and a place that doesn't care how many drinks you've had- I think this is the perfect place for you and your fraternity brothers. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer is good and their schnitzel platter is great, just avoid the steaks, prime rib, drinks that need refills, anything with fries and you're fine. This is our third attempt in three years and we are done. Which is sad because there aren't many options in town. Deep breath in...Unless you count the time when they closed for the night unexpectedly and we ordered them via their website because they forgot to turn off their system so they charged us and it took an hour before their system realized nothing was happening and we had to wait almost a week for them to refund the money but the owner emailed it was coming and didn't apologize or explain why they left their orders on when they closed because he really didn't seem to care about it....inhales deeply to catch breath...then this was trip #4. Either way, this place is scratched off the list unless we are looking for a bar with loose moral standards and not food.

I love fried chicken sandwiches, and I love crabcakes, so the Chesapeake Sandwich jumped out the menu--a combo sandwich of both!... and $15? Sign me up. The chicken was super moist on the inside, crispy and well seasoned on the outside. The crabcake was almost all crabmeat as well, which was delicious! My wife got a chicken taco salad, which came in a tortilla bowl and was also very good (with very well cooked chicken on top). My only complaint: the fries were a bit under-done. They also do 5oz samples of beer on draft, which was very nice for when you don't want a whole drink.

These wings were no joke, I did the buffalo wild wings inferno challenge twice without milk, it took 3 cups of milk to get through 5 of the 8 and I tapped out. The thing is, they aren't JUST insanely hot, they are also INSANELY flavorful. Hotheads eat your heart out, order these and you will not be disappointed. These 100% need to be a challenge. 8 in 10 minutes, no milk? The wings at Buffalo wild wings look like they were taken from baby chicks in comparison to what I got. Contact me when they become a challenge, I will gladly make the 1 hour drive to try it out, even if I fail!
