I called in an order for a beef shawarma sandwich and side salad. The order was ready shortly after I arrived. The restaurant is quiet with music playing in the background, but not so loud that you cannot talk. It was very clean with tables spaced well enough that you do not sit right next to someone else. The food, I was happy to see that they used Romaine instead of iceberg lettuce in the salad, the dressing is vinegar based with oil and herbs. It was a nice side. The shawarma sandwich has a very nice complexity of flavors and textures. The smell and flavor of the spices are warming. I would order it again and I would like to try the chicken shawarma sandwich next. read more

We stopped here for dinner for the man's birthday. We have been planning something fancier, but in the end there we were. We started with an order of grape leaves, which tasted good, but were really tiny. He ordered the chicken kebab platter for his meal which he says was great. I ordered the moujadarah, which was quite dried out and overcooked. I mentioned this to the manager/server when he came to check on us. He looked at my dish and replied that yes, it was overcooked. He did not offer to bring me anything different, he did not offer to bring me a fresh meal, and he did not take the cost of the meal off our bill. The two guys working in the restaurant were both nice, but I was disappointed that, although they knew we were there for a birthday (they overheard us and told my partner happy birthday), they did not attempt to make my meal right in any way. read more

Phenomenal! I can't wait to return to Winchester just so we can eat here every time we visit. Yelp steered us right with this recommendation. We entered wearing hiking clothes and upon seeing the decor felt very underdressed, but we were welcomed and made to feel at home quickly. The included plat of labneh was delicious and a nice touch. Pleasant waitress and the place seems clean enough but, the food wasn't that usual taste of kebab I expected. It was rather bland and was definitely reheated. The fries were terrible... not hot or crispy. The free hummus was more like sour cream?! Portions were quite small. Other kebab places give you much more and there is usually a piece of pita bread on the platter, not here however. I've read a lot of good reviews so was surprised it fell flat for us. Could it be because it was a Sunday? Opened at noon and we were there right after and wasn't busy at all, just another couple. They still don't have a permanent sign up... tempting fate?? Personally don't think it will last out the year if this visit is the norm. Isn't a "be back" place for us... underwhelming. read more

Was beyond excited when we came across this place in Winchester the other day. We love good Lebanese food and this place did not disappoint! As soon as we sat down we were greeted with a yogurt dip drizzled with olive oil and some chips. The food was everything we hoped it would be. Great meal at Byblos! My wife & I had dinner the other night. They start you with yogurt & homemade chips. She ordered the shish kebab plate with rice. Dee-lish, very flavorful. I had 2 appetizers, the Mezza Platter (hummus with pita, tabouleh, stuffed grape leaves, sambusek (meat pies), & falafel) and Cheese Pies (feta cheese, diced tomatoes, onions). Lots of food. We both had hot tea with our meals. Quick service. Everything was wonderful! (I thought about making this a 4-star review due to the atmosphere, which feels a little spare/industrial, but hey, you go for the food which is great.) read more

I ate at the newly opened Byblos restaurant in Creekside today. Loved it! I have been waiting forever for Winchester to get a decent Middle Eastern restaurant. It's probably my favorite food and of all the Middle Eastern I've eaten, I've always found Lebanese food to be the best. Service was great, food was even better. I had shish kebab which perfectly flavored and grilled. My girlfriend has lamb chops and loved them. We also had humus and pita. Pita basket was big and they brought us more when we ran out. They also brought a few things for us to try on the house. Not sure if this was because they are new or were just being hospitable but either way, this is my new favorite place in Winchester. read more

The service at Byblos 2 in Winchester, VA has got to be the very worst. It started off ok. The waiter was somewhat attentive. He upsold us a bottle of wine while looking at everything else going on around the restaurant. Other people were coming in...at least 4 tables after us. He left and took all their orders. We hadn't ordered yet. We finally got the attention of another waiter to take our order. This 2nd waiter came back a few minutes later to ask what we ordered. The appetizer came out. Delicious. After the appetizer and almost the entire bottle of wine, still no dinner. 3 of the tables that came in after us finished their meals and left. We waited. It had been over an hour and we couldn't wait any longer. The food came out and we asked for it to go. It looked delicious. The first waiter came out with the check and apologized and the wine was on the house. Still tipped and still we waited. And waited. No order ToGo. I asked what the hold up was. There was some confusion and they had to remake it. We decided to cut our losses and leave. Out $50 and dinner. read more

Our first time at Byblos, we did a did an Uber eats, ordering lamb kebab plate, the Branzino and a number of sides (lebneh, spinach pie, salads). Everything was delicious. Food was fresh, tasty, ample and seasoned to perfection. Sorry that Nad T was disappointed. Winchester doesn't have enough mid-range excellent family spots. Delighted to have Byblos close by. This is the restaurant that I have been waiting for in Winchester for so long. I swung by for an early dinner around 5pm to give Byblos a try and Decided to start with a small Hummus and have the Chicken Shawarma with fries as my main course. I have spent much overseas around the med and knew this to be the safest test for a new Lebanese restaurant. If I could sum up my experience in a word, it would be 'Fresh'. The food was fresh and delicious, the hummus was perfect as was the fresh pita. The Shawarma better than I had in Dubai with its wonderful aromatic blend of spices. She flavor brought me back to some very fond memories overseas. The linen and restaurant was impeccably clean and the folks that worked there were kind, they smiled with their eyes. This is my new favorite place in Winchester and I truly look forward to trying some of their more elaborate dishes like the Lamb Kebab Plate, I know it will be amazing. We went for dinner on Valentine's Day and luckily got seated just before the line formed. My wife had the shish kebab and I had the Lamb. We both would order them again. The meat and veggies had the perfect char on them and were nicely seasoned. The meat had a crispy outside but not to the point of being burned. I can't stand cooked tomatoes but these were grilled to the point where they were warm but still had that raw firmness. I could eat those all day long. Definitely recommend this restaurant and can't wait to try the shawarma read more
