I was never a fan of Italian food, but I have an appreciation for it now. I retired Asian style noodles for Italian, lol. I came to Sul Tempo as a recommendation from Yelp. This place met and exceeded expectations. Food was great: shrimp with angel hair pasta in vodka cream sauce. Sounded boring, but very delicious. I tried their meat balls... great. A house salad came with my meal as well as a complimentary bread basket. I had moscato and a signature cocktail, all great. Service was on point, open parking lot, food was great, ambience was nice and chill. I went alone during the week and ate in the lounge. It was a cool spot for dining alone and unwinding. They even have a little couch. Sul Tempo is recommended.

Italian Wedding Soup. One of my favorites and is a must try!

This is a wonderful addition to Dover & Absolutely my favorite hang out in Dover!!!! Most places in Do we are not new and upscale looking. Well, this place is everything that we have been missing in this type of atmosphere! I am so proud of the owner in taking the wonderful leap in renovating the actual restaurant and adding this new lounge. I get to have the best of both worlds of having the wonderful food from the restaurant and having a great lounge area to hang out on a Friday night. There are times that I come here two times a week as I absolutely love the food and the friendly service. The main bartender Jules is fantastic and takes such pride in creating and making drinks. They have many, many different types of specialty drinks. The appetizers are very reasonably priced and are simply delicious. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!

When you come in for dinner you must ask for the zeppoles for dessert. They are not on the menu but should be.

As we walked through the restaurant to our table, I couldn't keep my eyes off the artwork displayed (they have an affection for peacocks). Our server Tiarra had the brightest smile and warmest spirit all evening. Our bread and drinks didn't take long to come out, and our entrees came not too long afterward. The Pinot Noir was smooth. My ribeye was juicy, jam-packed with flavor, and cutting it was like cutting butter. The fried green tomatoes were a great choice as well. My mom truly enjoyed her evening, and we'll certainly be making our way back.

Food was hit or miss. A medium-rare steak came tepid and was redone (after some odd discussion…read moreabout how to do it) and arrived rare..really rare. My mistake; expecting hot food these days is a distant memory. I mean they tried but had no idea, I guess. Plates were not warmed; an order of bbq ribs was also barely warm. I know steak is supposed to be served hot on hot plates but whatever. The sides were delicious; mashed potato, grilled asparagus, mac n cheese. The oysters in the app mix plate were average at best, but overall it was an exciting appetizer for a party we were having. The mashed potatoes were more exciting in appearance than the decor, which was bland as vanilla pudding. If this is vying to be a premier steak house like Del Frisco or Ruth's Chris, a long way to go. Didn 't feel very posh except for the bill at the end.

A special thank you to Peter "Pan" for making our night so memorable. Not only were the cocktails delicious, but watching him craft those amazing bourbon creations was an experience in itself. We will definitely be taking an Uber next time so we can fully indulge in even more of those exceptional bourbon cocktails! Thank you for a wonderful evening. We can't wait to come back!

I only had the one I paid for. There's no need to lie, bad days happen. This is not a speakeasy, this is a restaurant cosplaying as a speakeasy. That may be a bit harsh, it's a speakeasy in training. Sure, it's got all of the speakeasy decor, blackout curtains over the windows and doors, and a big selection of pedestrian liquor but it's not quite there. We went in on an early evening on Wed and there were maybe 5 other patrons in there. Our waitress was nice and brought us water to the high top. She brought us two food menus, and a specials menu. I asked for a bourbon list and she brought it; no prices on the list. Annoying. On the specials menu there was a small section of manager recommended drinks and one was a Willet. The way it was written was confusing because it said it was both a 4 year and 14 year for $52, so I asked for clarification on the age statement. She took the menu to the barkeep, who confirmed it was a 14 year so I said yes I'll have that. A drink was brought to me, but I could tell from the taste that it was not what I ordered. I asked the waitress for the bottle, she asked the guy behind the bar for the bottle and he pulled down a willet pot still bottle (pot still is the entry level Willet and at best a 5 dollar pour, no where near what I asked for). I told her that I was given the wrong drink, then she approached the bar and between her, and the male and female bartenders they had a weird back and forth conversation. Then, finally they pulled down the bottle that I asked for, that was advertised, and gave me a pour of it. I asked to see the bottle and the waitress brought it over but held it instead of putting it on the table (it was a 13 year Willet, Paper Trail). As we were about to order we were told that they reset the menu the very day before, with the focus of putting more love and care into the food. Feeling good about that, we ordered the French quarter catfish and the bourbon braised short ribs. The corn that came with the short ribs tasted straight out of a store bought steamable pouch, and the "ribs" weren't ribs at all, just sliced meat. The only redeemable thing about the catfish dish was the aioli; the rice had no flavor, the corn was cold and hard, and the catfish was mostly breading. We both took a few bites and resigned. I have been to many speakeasies around the US, and there are common themes: a much better selection of liquor; 95% of the bourbon were low tier bottles you can find in any liquor store for around $50. Also, when customers ask for the bottle, it isn't because we plan to steal it or drink from it, its because we're genuinely interested in the information on the labels. The quickest way to get people to stop spending money is to make them feel as if they can't be trusted touching a bottle. Perhaps it was an off day for the staff and this wasn't a typical experience, but I won't go back.
