Can I just start by saying we love this place? First time there and what an impression! Even the kids loved it! This golden gem is welcoming as soon as you walk in! It is bright, cheery, and the staff greets you with a smile! If you're looking for a place with an array of choices, delicious food and nice conversation, then this is the place for you! We were traveling through heading back to Virginia and found this place on Yelp. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. As soon as we walked in the staff was very inviting and friendly! The atmosphere was awesome and the food was some of the freshest food I have had in a long time from a restaurant. I got the turkey club, my wife got the veggie wrap and my kids got the Mac and cheese and pancakes. We also got the watermelon lemonade and the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer 5 out of 5 in all aspects. If you live in Dover and haven't tried this restaurant you're missing out. read more

My daughter and I ate here Sunday April 19 2026 @ 3pm. What a great restaurant! The staff could not have been any nicer, the service was above average. The restaurant was a fun, clean atmosphere. Yeah i can happily recommend this place. Been here twice now, tried two totally different things and was happy with both of them. Lets start with the ambiance, it's nothing special but that's what makes it unique. Stonerail isn't trying to make you see it as some fancy place, it's not trying to make you think it's something it's not. It's got music playing quietly in the background so you can talk, eat, and enjoy. The interior is clean, nicely laid out and overall a great place to sit down and grab a bite or a drink. How about service, this is one of few places I've been to where you can talk to the chef just as easily as the servers. Every member of staff is friendly, surprisingly they remembered me, and they make you feel like a welcome old friend even if its your second time here. (Which definitely helps keep you coming back!) Now the food, lets dive in to that fast. I've tried a burger and fries, and Mac and cheese. Honestly the Burger and Fries were good, but man that Mac and cheese was something spectacular. The Cajun Mac has just the right amount of heat behind it to make you pay attention. It's spicy, savory, the cheese sauce is delicious and not too thick or thin. Just wonderful! Oh and they have ice cream did i mention that? No, probably not, but I probably should have because it's really tasty too! My one complaint about stonerail market is they're not open after 5PM! We came in today, Sunday, on a whim, and were pleasantly surprised by the minimal, clean decor. Seating was great and spaced well. The brunch menu was small but had something for all palettes. I enjoyed the avocado toast with cherry tomatoes and feta. My peach iced tea with vodka was just right. My husband had a smash burger that was juicy and well prepared. He also had a Cinnamon Toast Crunch iced coffee that was just right with the sweet flavor. This is not your glass dipped in a setup drink; you can actually enjoy the coffee and flavor, topped with cute whipped cream, drizzle, and cereal. We took home Reese's explosion cake and raspberry strudel crumb. The raspberry crumb takes me back to my Jersey childhood, if you know you know. The raspberry was a great twist on an old home-state favorite. We did follow the recommendation to heat for 45 seconds, and boy, were we happy. Excited for our next time back. read more

Great little spot near historic district in Dover! Very nice inside, only downer on this particular day for lunch was they had no soup because it got burnt. But our sandwiches, cole slaw, and drinks made up for it. Not sure, but the cafe maybe a women owned restaurant, which would be cool & amazing! The day we went just two ladies working, one as a server and the other as chef. This is the newest restaurant to open on Loockerman STREET in downtown Dover and it is a delight. The open and airy décor is inviting and clearly gives the impression that they know how to prepare food. Two friends and I wanted lunch before heading to the Biggs Museum to see the Wyeth exhibit, so decided to give them a try. We were extremely pleased. Two of us ordered the mac and cheese, one with cream sauce and the other with the addition of broccoli. They were served in mini cast-iron skillets on a wooden board. The sauce was light and flowing with a topping of toasted breadcrumbs. The third person ordered the Stonerail Dip, a sandwich of Boars Head Roast Beef with caramelized onions, topped with Provolone cheese, and a side of Au Jus dip. The choice of sides included a unique potato salad that my friend insisted on taking home because it was so good. They also serve wine and beer. My friend had Sam Adam's October Fest. They close at 4:00 p.m., so this is definitely a lunch place. We will certainly be going back again. read more
