Went to Arenas Saturday night for dinner and music. The dinner and the music were both wonderful. BUT they had one girl working the bar in the music room. And she was terrible. She was slow and kept getting distracted every time another man came to the bar talking and giggling with them. Leaving all the customers waiting. Took forever to place our dinner order and had to wait forever to order and then get our drinks. All the people seated around us were talking and complaining about her also. Just wasted almost $80 on lunch. picked up our food that was missing critical items. How do you sell a French dip with no dip then I get all the way back to work and they tell me oh you can come back and get it well no thank you my lunch break is over. Don't recommend this place and we'll never go there again the cheese fries were absolutely ridiculous. You couldn't even pick a french fry up. They were all stuck together. Stayed in town to celebrate my lover's birthday and we stopped in here because we could walk from the Airbnb. She got some fish and chips and it was just too greasy for her. Came here based on the reviews. Wide assortment of bar food. I had the buffalo chicken tenders which were just "meh". Others had sandwiches and fries which they all seemed to think were equally "OK". Well, all good things eventually come to pass... This is a place that years ago GUY FIERI had on his show!! This is a taco. Looks like my cats food but, its chicken in a blender. Tasted like shit. Arena's in Milford is the place to go for lunch outside on the deck. The inside part of the restaurant is a huge space without much sound insulation that can get very noisy. The food - basic cold sandwiches, fish and chips, fish tacos etc are good & they have a great selection of beer. Service is usually attentive but they often don't bring your second drink until you're finished eating. Now I skip the second beer and just order water and 1 beer when I first order so I don't have to drink my companions beer while I'm finishing my food. A disappointing recent change was switching their delicious thick burgers that you could have cooked to order (medium well is my preference) to a "smash" burger which isn't really a smash burger, but 2 very overcooked, very well done thin burgers. So skip the burger. So stick to sandwiches & 1 beer on the deck. read more

First time visiting this restaurant, so I will start with the table not being clean when we sat down. We will start with the nacho's with chili, They were pretty good and you got a good amount. I ordered the shrimp basket with fries and a cup of chili, the shrimp were alright but could have been cooked in a better batter. The fries were bland and the cocktail sauce was really thinned out. The Ketchup for the fries had a strange taste. My wife got the chicken salad club sandwich, which turned out to be dry. My son got the chicken tenders meal with honey mustard. I haven't actually been to this restaurant but my family lives in Milford and I live in Tennessee. I was looking for a place to get a gift card and several people recommended Arena's. I called and asked if they could deliver a gift card for Mother's day. The person on the phone was super friendly and they delivered a gift card to my mom on Mother's day. Servers (plural) walked by our table no less than 10x, once to deliver a plastic fork to another table, yet no attention to us whatsoever. Can't really comment about the food because this was my 3rd attempt to dine at this location and I've left every time without ordering (the first two times because the place was filthier than my basement floor). This place is slloowwwwww. Went on a Thursday afternoon and sat on the patio/deck. The restaurant has a cute decor and atmosphere-especially outside on the river. Ducks everywhere- literally. Our server was forgetful and slow. She kept having to make trips to go get our drinks because "the bartender was makin' em" -- making them? they were beers!! And when I went inside to use the restroom I noticed why the service was so slow- the bartender was talking to one patron the whole time. The inside of the restaurant was virtually empty but we still had awful service. Our food was mediocre but they had decent prices so I can't complain too much. This is one of the best reubens I've ever had. It was cooked very well and the bread was exactly right. It comes with a bag of chips and a pickle on the side. Overall the whole meal felt very casual and homey. Our server (Christa) was very nice and attentive. We came around 1:30 and it wasn't too busy. Great place for lunch when passing through Milford. One of my favorite places to eat! The staff is very friendly. They are always more than happy to make changes to menu items. They have great specials every day paired with awesome prices. Yesterday around 4 ish we went for dinner early to beat the crowd and were greeted with a seat yourself sign and was seated within a couple minutes we have a nice, polite waitress greeter who took our drink order i Ordered sweet tea, fish and chips and it was a very good meal for the price and you get enough fries for 2 people and a duck or two , but it was all good. She ordered hot tea, half of a chicken salad sandwich and a salad, and it was all good and plenty of. Started to fill up as we were leaving and most likely be loud and proud after awhile, but our early trip for dinner was well worth it and this experience will bring us back again before too long. read more

Can only rate the service as when my husband and I went there on a Saturday at 1:30PM, admittedly a bit late for lunch but not completely unreasonable, we could not get served. We seated ourselves as directed by the gentleman behind the bar. This server came over gave us water and menus. While we made our decisions he went back to the bar. He and what appeared to be two servers eating at the bar chatted. And chatted. And chatted. I even stood up to get some attention to no avail by what can only be construed as deliberate. There was a total of three other tables occupied in the restaurant, two of which already had there food or were finishing so it could not be said they were overly taxed, especially given there were at least three to four servers. After 22 minutes, yes we started timing after we became bored waiting, we walked out. The menu appeared decent for the type of deli/restaurant it was, unfortunately I will never know if the food lives up to the promise. Casual atmosphere with daily specials a reasonable draft selection. I tried the crab soup which was tomato based and spicy (nice bite) with vegetables but only scant thin strands of crab. I felt like a burger, although they have an extensive sandwich list, settling on their signature burger. The burger seemed to have promise based on ingredients but failed to deliver flavor. So sad. I have been to many of the Arena's locations. The food is always good. So I'd love to give more than 2 stars. This location in Milford has the same food so consistency isn't a problem. The service is also consistent! We were greeted immediately and seated quickly. Our server was upbeat and smiled a lot, so that was also a win! We were seated in a booth. This area had lemons on the floor and the booth that we sat in has a messed up bench! It was as if I sat in a hole. After I found a place to sit in the booth with out feeling like I was sitting on a toilet, dinner was def more enjoyable. The food remained on the floor during our meal. Sadly they weren't busy so, it's beyond me why someone didn't take care of it. It was dinner time but they were probably at 40% capacity.
