Rubin's Rubin
Bri M.

Beautiful day for Al Fresco. Wait staff was working alone and covering several tables. Super fast service and lots of care. But no chit chat cause she was busy. Spouse had the shrimp taco and said it was delicious, I had the Rubin's Rubin and had to take half the Rubin home( and the huge pickled cucumber ) it was as good as any Jewish deli I've ever been to, so many fries ( the fries were crispy, hot and fluffy on the inside, so perfect ) and a couple of huge unsweetened ice teas. If it wasn't so early I might have partaken of the extensive beer menu. As it was $41 and a 20% tip was an acceptable price for the food at the beach. Worthy of a revisit.

Ended up going here two separate times yesterday we enjoyed it so much. Initially we just stopped in for happy hour in their outdoor seating with our dogs. Service was both excellent and very friendly. Had so much fun and the menu looked so good, that we took the dogs home and then came back to dine inside for dinner. For dinner we sat at the bar and enjoyed their nachos and a couple sandwiches. The nachos were good, not the best I gave ever had, but they were generous, had lots of flavor, and were only ~$10 during happy hour. My wife got the turkey Ruben and I got the buffalo chicken cheese steak. Both sandwiches were VERY good. Wish we had thought to come on a Wed and they would have been half price. Even at full price though, the portions were solid and the prices reasonable. All in all, one of the better value meal we have had on our trip. Finally, one of the biggest appeals of this place were how low key it was. Not too loud, not too crowded. Ended up having a couple nice conversations with other people sitting at the bar. Will 100% be back here next time we are in the area.

Another good meal at Arenas! We walked up on Friday during a very short break between rainstorms, and found almost no one on Arena's deck - that never happens. We took outdoor covered seats and ordered our meals. I went w the grouper Rueben and my bf went w the fish and chips. Service was fast and the meals were good. A band started indoors while we ate and they sounded great. It was good people watching too as people walked by w their umbrellas. We were in and out in under an hour which was our goal.

We waltzed in here for a quick snack in that weird time between lunch and dinner. We ended up getting a lot more than we bargained for! We ordered waaaay too much food which ended up being a substantial dinner for most of us. I especially enjoyed the loaded tots served with lot of cheese, jalapenos, and chopped bacon. The server was friendly and efficient. The waters were ice cold and huge too. The patio is in a quaint alleyway in town right across from a cool record shop which I recommend checking out too. I didn't explore much of the menu but from what I saw, I have no complaints!

My partner and I went for happy hour on a Saturday. We were some of the only people there and service was slow since they were switching shifts. They have a sign about happy hour but no specific menu. We asked and the bartender told us a couple of average beer specials (and did not mention that appetizers were half off). My parents have been several times and love the nachos but say "it depends who's in the kitchen". I will let the photo I took speak for itself.

Chill sandwich spot with great service and a variety of sandwiches! My favorite is the Big Daddy. Gotta get the hot tots!

Reuben's Reuben

After a long day on the beach, Arena's deli had everything we wanted. Our Reuben and burger were stacked to the brim. Our fries were hot and crispy and our pickles delectably tart. The cherry on top was the live music. I have never been on the edge of my seat waiting to hear the next song. The talented duo were covering a wide range of songs but added their own unique spin, almost making their song their own. It made our meals so lovely.

This was my first time here. Many of the downtown restaurants were closed due to COVID and/or pre-season. The restaurant is located down a side street off the main street. We did not have a reservation. Outside was not immediately available, therefore, we opted for inside lunch. All service members wore masks inside and outside. I started with my Guinness on draft for $5, which I enjoyed twice. House chardonnay was also $5. I wanted a half ruben sandwich with crab soup, but, it was not on their menu. Therefore I ordered the bowl of crab soup and half big daddy sandwich for $11.99. The big daddy was prepared similar to a ruben. A full ruben sandwich is also $11.99 less the soup. The sandwiches here are a nice size. Lunch prices here are very reasonable. My total bill was $44 less taxes and gratuities. Mask wearing Scott Y. accommodated our table needs nicely. I will definitely return here again for lunch such as another soup and sandwich.

I like the nice staff, selections and freshness. Arena's locations are all (rare lately) plusses for the area.

She made suggestions, checked back, and made sure we had everything we needed. The menu has a variety to choose from and multiple specials. They only offered one type of soup and I would have liked some additional choices. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. They also have happy hour on Sunday The sandwich was a little greasy, but still tasted fine. It was not the chef's fault, since it was grilled and had cheese on it. It was served with potato chips, and I would've preferred a choice instead of chips, but that doesn't seem to be an option. The fish was perfectly cooked and served with fries and coleslaw. My friend said the lobster bisque was delicious. We sat inside since it was a chilly day, but there is an option for outdoor seating. The inside has a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We had a great visit and definitely plan on eating there the next time we're in Rehoboth Beach!

Wife doesn't like fish, so she ordered a burger - not something I would typically recommend at a seafood place - but she enjoyed it, said it was well cooked, and tasty. Rockfish bake was excellent, and packed with crab, shrimp and scallops - just wish there was more than two small pieces of actual rockfish. Oyster stew was good - with nicely poached BIG fresh oysters. Would give a 5th star if the quality of side dishes wasn't so poor - garlic mash and risotto were very bland, asparagus was under-seasoned and boring. Service was attentive and very friendly, so not sure what Russ W's issue was - probably because he didn't read the clearly published notation that happy hour is at the bar only, and the rest of his "review" indicates he's likely the kind of guy who makes his own problems.

My husband and I always take a day trip to Rehoboth from OC MD every year to do shopping. We…read moreusually like to get dinner too but then we skip lunch and I'm usually starving by then. I decided I wanted to do a brunch type of place instead and randomly found this place. This place was definitely me. The duck around and find out drink with the little rubber duck in it, I had to get cause I love ducks. And it changed colors! We have the indigo gin at home that changes color when you add citrus to it, but I never really have took the time to just sit and watch it change completely, it was cool. The espresso martini, I think was one of the best espresso martinis I ever had! I like the option you get to pick if you want tequila, rum, or vodka with it. I normally don't like vodka that much but I'll tolerate it in an espresso martini because it covers up the vodka taste. But I liked the different options, and the tequila went well with it. I think tequila espresso martinis are becoming popular now, I've seen them more now. The other drinks they had were great as well! We got a strawberry cream martini which was delicious. I think we got some kind of cheesecake key lime martini with cheesecake on the rim, which was great too. Love the over the top drinks since I'm over the top too. We drank more than we were planning but oh well can't help it they were so good. For food I got the lobster Benedict which was amazing, prob one of the best Benedict's I've had too. The hollandaise sauce was great, it was flavorful , creamy, the right thickness , not too runny. So many places can mess that up. And the lobster was fresh and I think there was a decent amount. My husband's chicken and waffles were delicious as well. The servers/bartenders were also very friendly and helpful. We at the bar , it's kind of a small restaurant. But it was nice cause we got to talk to the bartender and she told me the best drinks to order and some have won awards. I love the decor also and the name - Somewhere I think that was kind of quirky and cool. I wanna go back , now I'm getting hungry as I'm typing this. This might just be our new go to place after/ in between shopping in Rehoboth!

Service was quick and personable which is really not that common anymore. Pickle chips were super tasty with a good sauce. We both had sandwiches and both barely finished half, the portions are worth 2 regular or 3 small meals! The chicken could have used more seasoning but it was plenty. Staff and servers were very attentive, friendly and helpful. Prices, being in a prime location in a tourist-driven town were very fair in my opinion. The 3-cluster snow crab entree was $50 with two sides. Appetizers ranged from about $10-15, sandwiches $12-16 and entrees $15-20. There is also a kids menu with $10ish options. They have a variety of beer, wine, hard-liquor and specialty drinks. Drinks came out with minutes and food not too long after. Crab was good, wings were great and Mahi sticks were awesome. The sides (fries, mac and cheese and hush puppies) were okay. Lots of parking on the main road (parking meters in effect 10am - 10pm, May 15 - September 15.) which can be paid by credit card or using the app. I opted for credit card as I prefer to have a paper receipt for the dashboard. Would love to return to try out some of the other interesting menu items.
