Onion jack's the only 6 star restaurant in Harrington Delaware. However, on our most recent occasions, it appears OJ's has transitioned and now identifies as a 2 star restaurant. God bless America, but it appears DOGE has cut the funding for "good food" at this here establishment. The service was friendly as always. The waitress greeted us with what was left of her smile and cracked some funnies along the way. However as our food arrived it was clear, the OJs that we once loved was no more. I don't think there was any cheese or steak on the cheesesteak. The French fries were colder than my streak at the table and the wings were smaller than a little persons pecker in the middle of a windstorm in the arctic. We have to do better! Very rarely does anyone talk about wanting OJ back (RIP..maybe?) but this OJ we want back to the hot comfort food with a pleasant blue collar smile like it was in years past. Love you guys. Thai shrimp is spicy and bbq flavored. Tasty. 6 shrimp. Chowder is spicy but not too hot. Interesting flavors. Truffle chips are potato chips... not too special, but tasty. The drink specials are all very sweet. The breakfasts are great. Also enjoyed the burgers. read more

ordered the crab cakes at the recommendation of a friend. very happy I followed her recommendation. Our server Skie was very personable and made sure we were well taken care of. She checked on us several times to make sure we didn't need anything else. looking forward to going back and having the prime rib. It looked delicious when it was delivered to the table next to us. This is a neat little restaurant inside of the Casino. It would be considered "upscale" for this casino. They have a variety of menu items like crab cakes, steak, salads, sandwiches and a full bar. The service was ok and overall it was a good experience. I would recommend giving this restaurant a try. 3/5 it's adequate for Casino food! read more

Outstanding! I agree with the last post, that people must just like to complain, as this was my wife, a friend, and my first experience eating here, and it is definitely going to be repeated. Our appetizer, Thai Shrimp was excellent for all tastes ( my wife does not like spicy as much as I do, and thier seasoning of the shrimp was great for both of us). I got the shrimp and grits, I have had over a dozen servings of shrimp and grits, at a over 10 different restaurants, and I rate Onion Jack's as the best. Was also pleasantly surprised as I order a rustic ceasar salad as my dinner side, it was very good! My wife's and her friends dinners and sides all had excellent reviews by the ladies. First time eating here, and here's how I review restaurants: if the quality of the food is something you can cook at home and cook BETTER, then the review will not be kind. This is the case for Onion Jack's. The atmosphere/decor is lacking. Plating of the food was terrible, and the plates themselves were black plastic, which does not give a good visual impression of the food on the plate. I first ordered the Thai shrimp appetizer, and they really need to rename it, because there's nothing Thai about it. It has old bay seasoning and honey on it. Sounds weird because it is, but it wasn't that it tasted bad, it was okay, but seriously named wrong. I ordered the steak with green beans and mashed potatoes. I asked the waitress if the green beans were fresh and grilled and she said yes, but they came out on the plate and we're clearly from a can! Mushy and tasteless, and DEFINITELY not grilled. The steak was cooked well, but there was a serious lack of seasoning or rub and it was very chewy and not tender. The best thing on the plate were the mashed potatoes but that's not saying much because they did not have much flavor until I put a decent amount of butter on them. Over cooked onion rings and soggy bread left a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended). And on top of that, The Waitress we had today kind of sucked because she seems unapproachable and simply unlikable in a restaurant setting. The server we had was kinda useless. She definitely should find another job because she clearly wasn't busy and never even checked on us. Someone else delivered our drinks and food. The food was decent, nothing wonderful. Crab dip was good. Crab cakes were good and the fish part of fish n chips was good. The fries suck. The squash was so nasty. It was mushy and I think resting in water. My baked potato was hard. I had ordered a drink because they were out of beer I like and they didn't have booze for 1st drink I ordered. Oh and hubby never received one of his side. We couldn't tell the service because again, she never checked on us. Not a good atmosphere either. read more

A friend recommended onion jacks for the Kent county mule beer he said it was the best. So my wife and I went for lunch. We ordered the crab dip, jack burgers and Kent county mule draft beer. Service was great burgers are delicious and crab dip was awesome and the beer excellent. This is the kind of restaurant we need in Denton not Taco Bell We will go back again soon. Place sucks!! Had a part of 7 and our food was cold...had burgers were cold and prime rib was ice cold...soup was cold!! Than waited 30 minuets for a manager and security to throw us out for complaining!! Limited us to 2 drinks per hour which I get but for a $54 meal it sucked!!! read more

Went here tonight , has to be some of the worse food. Started off with crab soup, I could have spackled my wall with this... Horrible pasty. Got an onion loaf which was cold and not worth 8$. Finally my main entree crab stuffed flounder a nice piece of flounder but it was covered with so much bechumel sauce which I think was the same pasty soup poured on top of the flounder, just a awful experience. The waitress was pleasant and kept asking if we wanted something else but we didn't . And now the decor AWFUL. whoever designed or should I say didn't complete the design should be fired. We went on Saturday night for an early dinner. First, there was only three tables seated, yet they sat us right next to the kitchen. Loud and awful! Next, our server didn't know anything and was clearly not even trained enough to know that you have to bus a dish after your diner has completed a course. The crab soup was pasty and without a single visible piece of crab in the whole mix. Chopped up mushroom was likely to give the "illusion" of crab = FAIL! After having repeatedly wave down, or ask someone to get our server for drink refills and anything needed, we were able to order our main course. The steaks were subpar, overcooked and we had the worst side of squash imaginable. It was served in a huge crock and was all just nasty garlicked mush. Clearly scooped out of some old batch sitting out all day on the buffet next door. It was horrible. The seasoned fingerling potatoes were just heavily salted - nothing more and not overly edible.
