What a great find on the Delaware shore! I sat at the bar and received excellent service from the staff. They were clearly excited and sad that the season had come to an end, but were also very eager to help. They provided some great recommendations and suggestions. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted like it was actually "homemade". The crab soup was an amazing starter and is highly recommended! I'm sure this place has a great vibe in the "on-season" but even as their season was coming to a close, this location is hard to beat. Great location, old style yet not outdated coastal theme, and also a feeling of home.

We ended up here after driving into Delaware to check off this state. We received alerts that there might be coastal flooding and we did have to cross a slightly flooded parking lot to get into the restaurant. Thankfully the water wasn't very high though. The waiter was great and really nice. The only issue was she forgot our drink orders but quickly got them once we reminded her. We started with the crab stuff balls and they were great especially with the dipping sauce. They were full of crab so you wouldn't be left unsatisfied. The snow crab clusters were also great and simple. They didn't have any extra seasoning to put on them but they honestly didn't need it. I barely needed the butter either. Overall good experience

    The view is spectacular.

We had such a good time here. It's our 4th trip and every summer we look forward to going back. The food is fresh and well worth the journey. We sat outside. Crab cakes and salmon were very well prepared and flavorful. Can we also suggest that the coconut cake not be missed? Run to Jp's wharf. PS service was above and beyond the norm.

I went here on a Sunday for lunch. It was empty. The service was fast and friendly. I got the soft shell crab sandwich and peel and eat shrimp. Everything was delicious.

Given the area, overall, it was pretty good. I enjoyed the outdoor dining and waterfront views the most.... and I'm a sucker for soft-shell crab

I enjoyed the food at JP's. I got the fish and chips and my son ordered the crab balls and bacon wrapped scallops. The crab balls were good. The fish was nice and flaky and moist. The scallops were very tasty. They were plated on a delicious berry jam. We had great service with Kat taking care of us. The ambiance on the water was relaxing and pretty. After dinner we let the hostess know that we wanted ice cream and she met us at the window to serve us. When I'm back in Delaware I'll be sure to visit JP's Wharf for a nice seafood meal.

Great service and delicious food. Quiet and cozy on the water. I can't wait to go back and enjoy.

Great casual seafood. Nothing pretentious, right on, in fact over the water. Love their 'buck a shuck' nights.

It was okay, but nothing special. Two people who ordered seafood, including stuffed shrimp, did not enjoy theirs at all. My husband took a bite of something on his plate, and before he could ptotest, a busser had removed his plate right out from under him without even asking if he was finished. But perhaps the worst thing was when someone asked for melted butter to dip their seafood into, instead of the oil blend dip that was provided, and was told they didn't have melted butter. Yet butter was provided for someone who ordered a baked potato. Maybe that was not real butter? Or maybe it was whipped buttet. Regardless, it seems ludicrous for a restaurant to be unable to serve melted butter for seafood dishes. As one of our group lamented, it's probably better to order seafood only at a seafood restaurant. However, if the management of this restaurant reads these reviews, please know that real butter should be an option, not only for seafood but for things like pancakes and waffles. And while I'm at it, real maple syrup for breakfast items would be appreciated, instead of that corn syrup imitation syrup stuff.

So we went early (no problem being seated around 5:30 or so, but it did seem full an hour later) and were we ever rewarded. Everything was simply perfect, including Vicki, our veteran and down to earth waiter. When we are unsure of things, she provided expert guidance with kindness and wisdom. The mussels appetizer are an experience not to be missed - save the bread for lapping up its saucy juice. My wife loved the pork chop - its huge and she took half home for lunch. I devoured the blackened fish of the day over bok choy. Both simply were outstanding. If/when again in Cape May again, we'd certainly come back. With a reservation!

I'm a sucker for a good thin crust, and this did not disappoint. Everything about the pizza was sublime. Even hours later when I heated up the remaining slices at the hotel, it continued to be a palate-pleaser. Second night, round two: I love a good turkey club but I would've willingly sold my right pinky for one this good. I nearly had to unhinge my jaw to bite into this beast. I again met my match and had to take half of it to-go. Did I have it later that night? No! I popped open that tray for a breakfast club the next morning and the flavour never missed a beat.
