When we checked in, the manager was incredibly friendly. I mentioned it was my daughter's birthday and asked if we could sit outside. He gave us the best table in the restaurant, right on the front corner overlooking the boardwalk. The service was excellent. Our waiter was dressed as Santa Claus, had a great sense of humor, and made fantastic recommendations. He suggested the pomegranate margarita, which was outstanding. I ordered the bowl, my wife had the fish tacos, and my daughter enjoyed the kids meal with chicken nuggets and fries. To top it all off, they surprised my daughter with a complimentary slice of birthday cake, which was probably the highlight of the meal for her. Overall, the atmosphere here is incredible and is easily the restaurant's biggest draw. Sitting outside, overlooking the boardwalk while watching the sun set over the ocean, is hard to beat. We'll definitely be back.

Showed up about 20 minutes early for a 6:45 reservation. There was an open 4-top in the bar when we…read morearrived, and the host said we were welcome to grab it and have dinner there. This was a huge win. The main seating area was very full, and the acoustics are sketchy, so be advised on a busy night "quiet" will not be included in the description of the atmosphere. Also, the bartender that handled service at the tables in the bar area was EXCELLENT in every way, attentive, up to speed on all aspects of the food and beverage menus, and very engaging. Food gets mixed reviews. The lobster ravioli app was excellent. Very balanced and properly rich. Sopping up the sauce left on the serving dish with some crusty bread was mandatory. The four of us shared two wedge salads. The size of the salads were perfect, unfortunately, the blue cheese dressing they used was sub- par, in everyone's opinion. Their recipe was sweetened with something, which was kinda unexpected as it almost overwhelmed the tang you traditionally get with a good blue cheese dressing that goes so well with the flavor of the bacon and the acidity of the cherry tomatoes. I had the Delmonico, and the steak was perfectly cooed, high quality, reasonably priced ( in this day and age) and very flavorful. Ordered onion rings on the side, which were serviceable, would have been better served hot out of the fryer as opposed to room temperature. The biggest disappointment was the creamed spinach. As they did with the blue cheese dressing, the kitchen put their own spin on it which we thought fell flat. Its appearance suggested they forgot the "cream" ingredient when putting it together, and what probably should have been a "dash" of nutmeg tasted like much more that that which overwhelmed the senses. Most of it was uneaten. So a mixed bag, all in all. Would likely return again, given the great service and energetic vibe in the small bar area, and understanding that they are still a fairly new enterprise and deserve a chance to get game fine tuned

The hostess made us feel like an inconvenience to seat us and the place was empty. The waitress recommended the egg rolls and they were the wrist thing as they came out raw. My partner and I came for Sunday brunch with a reservation for 11:00 am. We were seated promptly…read moreand served a pitcher of water and started chowing down. We went right for the seafood. Lots of crab clusters (nice size), large headless shrimp and fresh oysters. Cocktail sauce in a bowl and a cup with horseradish with small empty cups you could take to mix together. The seafood was all good - plentiful, cold, flavorful. We didn't try the eggs, sausage, bacon or breakfast potatoes - standard fare at brunch buffets. The eggs had cheese mixed it (just to let you know). We did try try the salmon, shrimp and grits (with sausage and cherry tomatoes) - delicious, and the penne with sausage and shrimp. Also very good. The menace for the penne and the grits - very buttery. Very good. We each had an omelette that we ordered with crab, shrimp and veggies and no cheese. They both came with cheese unfortunately. The server offered to have the chef make new ones but I didn't want to waste all the crab meat and shrimp. So I just ate the innards of mine and my partner ate theirs. The innards were delicious and there was a lot of crab meat and shrimp in the omelette. The weak point was the chicken and waffles. The waffle was fine but the chicken was dried out. Really too bad - everything else was delicious and well prepared. Fresh fruit and small pastries/yogurt parfait for dessert. The fruit was very juicy and fresh (I had cantaloupe and pineapple). Note that they charge separately for coffee, tea and soft drinks. ($4 for coffee on top of a $50 buffet). It was really good coffee. One suggestion I would make is to add a veggie entree - like a tray of green beans in olive oil/garlic or something else simple. Not many veggies in this brunch other than potato salad and green salad. I would dock a half point for the omelette issue and the dried out chicken, but, other than those things the food was really good and the service was good. I assume the omelette thing was a one off. The place is nice. Well lit and I enjoyed the old rock music (70's - 90's) playing not too loudly in the room.

I understand it's peak season and the Fourth of July weekend, so I expected things to be busy. Our…read moreserver was friendly and pleasant throughout the meal. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience fell well below expectations. We waited about 20 minutes just to receive our drinks, and some people in our party didn't even have water, requiring us to ask multiple times just to get a glass. The timing of the food was also disappointing. We had specifically requested that the salads be served before the entrées, but everything arrived at the same time. Two burgers were cooked well beyond the requested temperature, and several items were forgotten altogether. When we mentioned the missing items, there didn't seem to be any sense of urgency to correct the situation. The biggest disappointment was an order of oysters that didn't arrive until after everyone else had nearly finished their meals. What surprised me most was that, despite all of these issues, a manager never once stopped by our table to check on us or acknowledge that things weren't going well. A simple visit to apologize, explain the delays, or offer assistance would have gone a long way. I understand holiday weekends are challenging for restaurants, but this felt like more than just a busy night. It seemed like there was something off with the system or process being used to manage tables, food timing, and communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. The good news is that this feels fixable. Better coordination, communication, and support for the serving staff--and more visible involvement from management when problems arise--would likely prevent many of the issues we experienced and make for a much better customer experience.
