I ordered a $16 hot dog that came with a surprise--a metal pellet embedded in it. I ended up chipping part of my tooth. When I raised the issue, the manager came out with the person who prepares the food. Their exact words: "We were looking for that piece." They offered me a few complimentary drinks and replaced the hot dog. But when I closed my tab, they charged me for every single drink, including the ones they had offered to make amends. So in the end, the only thing they did was replace the original hot dog--after it chipped my tooth. Disappointed is an understatement. A gesture of goodwill turned into a confusing bill. I hope they take food safety and customer care more seriously moving forward.

Come causal or in your beach attire--will feel comfortable in either. Service was quick and really friendly and welcoming. Plenty of seating options, and I mean you can either sit at the bar, on a chair swing, a round table, or a high chair right, which is all right on the beach! Fun place!

We had just come from a college football game and, on the fly, decided to grab dinner here based on the recommendation of the one local in our group. There were seven of us, and most went for the double smash burgers with fries, which were excellent. Kim, our server, was outstanding, prompt, accurate, and attentive throughout the evening. The bartender also added to the positive side of the experience, making sure everything at the table ran smoothly. The issue came at the door. We had tried to call ahead to let them know we were on the way, not realizing that OpenTable was their preferred system. When we arrived, the host made this clear, but in a way that was unnecessarily sharp and cold. It set the wrong tone for the night. In a town where friendliness is the norm, the contrast was striking. The experience began under a haze that was difficult to shake, even though the food and drinks were excellent once we sat down. To be constructive, this is less about policy and more about hospitality. A host sets the tone, and a welcoming explanation could have changed everything. Something as simple as, "We usually use OpenTable to handle groups this size, but I'm glad you're here, let's get you taken care of," would have gone a long way. Instead of frustration, it could have created a positive first impression and likely earned a loyal group of returning guests for years to come. Inside, the atmosphere was lively, with locals enjoying themselves in a loud and fun environment. Our group of longtime friends who have been convening in Chestertown for two decades fit right in once we were seated. However, the bad first impression lingered, and as a result we only had one round with food before deciding to leave a lot earlier than our normal rhythm for an evening out. We ended up taking our bar bill to another venue. Great food and excellent table service carried the night, but the host made sure we will not be returning as part of our annual tradition. This is a restaurant with strong potential, and it could go from good to exceptional with just a little more attention to how guests are greeted.

The House Burger was cooked exactly to perfection. We also tried the shrimp & grits, which arrived beautifully plated. We couldn't resist splitting the apple strudel for dessert, topped with locally made ice cream from Stams. Special shoutout to our server Kassie, who went above and beyond with her hospitality and gave us some great tips for things to do around Chestertown. The bar area has a great atmosphere too. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Brampton to try more.

The building is really cool, and there were already quite a few people dining in the main room. We prefer to sit at the bar, so we saddled up and were greeted by a friendly bartender. I'd give them a higher rating, but the beer selection was a bit limited. (It's technically a distillery, but they also brew beer.) The beer I had was decent, and my wife really enjoyed her seasonal cocktail. Now comes the really good part--the food. The menu was interesting, and there were several things we wanted to try. We settled on the pepperoni wood-fired pizza, and it was phenomenal. A lot of places get part of a pizza right but miss on others. Alfred didn't miss a thing: the crust was perfect, the sauce was spot-on, the toppings were generous, and there was so much cheese. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Another highlight was getting to meet Alfred and hearing the history of the company. It's obvious he has a passion for his business and customers, and it's clear he's well-liked in the community. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town.

I had the High Street pizza and a Chestertown Moscow Mule...a pretty perfect dinner. There was the right amount of cheese on the pizza, and a good crispy crust. The lady that cooks the food is extremely helpful and excellent as well. The chicken wings that we ordered were seasoned and cooked to perfection!!!!! The Bad: While the food is good, ordering is quite a challenge. This was our first time eating at this establishment as we were told how good the food really was. And it was excellent!!! However, when you ask an employee if there is a menu, they say, it's on the door. You look at the door and there is no menu. I the. Asked another person hat looked like she was the cook. This was great as she said the menu is actually on a piece of paper on the wall. Note: I still never found this menu. However, she (the cook) was very, very friendly and told me what she had ready to cook. We ordered Fried Chicken Wings and a side of French Fries for the two of us to share. The food was excellent!! )so this is not bad. The Ugly: The bartender either needs assistance in serving the customers in a timely manner or she can improve her speed and service. When we first sat down, we waited over 10 minutes for her to even acknowledge us. Not to serve....just acknowledge. Will we return? Absolutely!!!!! The Bad and the Ugly did not outweigh the the good. We had a feast time watching Karaoke, eating Fried Chicken & enjoying good drinks. This is a place that you do not need to get dressed nice to hang out, and there are often times that I just want to have on jeans and tee shirt to go out and just have a drink and have laughs with friends or with Hubby. This was the case in our recent visit and enjoyed ourselves immensely. We will certainly return and hope you visit this great establishment. Bon Appetit and Have Fun!!!!!

Two glasses of Cutty Sark for $7. I was retelling a story that involved profanity and the proprietor came over and reprimanded me earnestly. "If you come in my place, you got to find a bigger vocabulary." Everyone was busy setting up for a farewell party for a local DJ. The good smell of dirty rice and greens cooking in the back almost tempted us to stay. But six hours is a long time to kill, even with Cutty Sark and NCAA football on CBS.
