I live in Milton but love to shop at the Aldi's in Milford so I looked for a place to have breakfast before shopping and this place was outstanding. It is an unassuming restaurant with a decent amount of seating space both inside and outside. Very clean but nothing fancy which is fine with me as long as the service and the food is good and boy did they deliver on that part. We were seated quickly on a Saturday morning and almost immediately greeted by a very friendly server. We ordered omelets with potatoes and onions and the cinnamon role pancakes. Everything was delicious. The portions on the potatoes were great, although my husband would have preferred them crispier the server told him to ordered them deep fried next time. All of the food was excellent and the pancake was to die for, every bit was a pleasure. I loved this place, it was everything I want in a great breakfast and I will defiantly be back. read more

Third visit. The pancakes are amazing especially the cinnamon bun ones. Love the sausages too. Friendly staff. Had hot tea instead of coffee - won't do that again - the brand of tea is so weak I had to use two tea bags to make the hot water look like tea! read more

Great diner! Packed with locals enjoying each other's company and comfort food. Ample breakfast features scrapple (Milton, mid level, better for restaurant fryers), eggs, pork roll and the standard meats, big pile of hash browns, if you're a fan of rye, they use seeded (yay). Nice mild diner coffee. Hustling staff. Comfy booths are my favorite. They do have a covered patio outside. read more

Oh my goodness! I had heard rumblings about these cinnamon roll pancakes so I finally came over here to try these. They absolutely live up to the hype. Everyone was super friendly too. The place is very much like a down home old fashioned diner feel. You feel like you're home. Amazing place. I wish it wasn't always so busy but...you can't knock a place for being too busy. Superior breakfast at West Side Restaurant in Milford, DE. A little hard to find it what appeared to be a warehouse district in the older part of town. But, GPS got us there and after a quick drive around we found the entrance to the smallish parking lot, and the front door inside the covered patio. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, with our server easily subbing tater tots for hash browns and refilling our coffee in "to go" cups so we could take them with us. My Chicken Fried Steak with two Sunny Side Ups was excellent. The steak was flavorful and moist and absorbed the runny yolks well. The tots were crisp without being oily, and the Sausage Gravy (on the side) was delicious and great for dipping the taters in. Son's Patty Melt and Fries were the way he liked them - medium finish, so he could taste and enjoy the quality ground beef in the patty. We were both pleasantly surprised by our meals, not thinking that Milford offered anything this good in a drive through roadville along Route 113. Very happy to stand corrected on that score. Def worth a return visit. read more

West Side Restaurants breakfast is incredible. I have visited the location multiple times to enjoy breakfast and every time I am greeted by friendly staff. The located is usually packed with customers, however I've never waited more than 5 minutes for a table inside. (They also have outside seating available.) The only constructive criticism I can give is that the decor is out dated, but I enjoy their "home town cozy kitchen" aesthetic. They serve large portions for a great price. Went to West Side based on the reviews. I'm giving it a good rating based on the value. I ordered the veggie omelette which was a 3 egg omelette with onions, peppers, tomato, mushrooms and broccoli. It came with home fries and toast. The first thing you notice is that the portion was huge and incredible for the price. The omelette itself was tasty, but a little on the dry side and I was hoping for more veggies. I tasted more egg and cheese than anything else. The home fries were good. The people are very friendly and the service was good. I never liked getting handed the check while still eating, so that was a turn off, but otherwise the service was good. read more

This restaurant knows how to handle a large Sunday crowd! From the time you arrived you were greeted and treated well. Service was quick, friendly and the food was great. The bus boys need to have a fire lit under them as they were slow to clear tables, otherwise there would be no waiting at all. I give this place four forks up, out of four ! read more

CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! The food was fine and our waitress was very good. However, their menu prices are less than the amounts that appeared on our bill. When I compared my bill with the menu, our server called the manager over, and the manager said, "That's always been the price. That's just the way it is," and she walked away without honoring the advertised price. It left me feeling like I had been swindled, and I haven't been able to shake being blown off by management. read more

Delicious. Fast. Good. Waffle is light and flavorful. Home fries are not greasy. Place is packed with locals which is usually a good sign. Server was attentive, but just the right amount. Brought my car club here for lunch. I called a couple days in advance so they wouldn't be surprised by a big group. They sat the ten of us together and provided excellent service and outstanding food. Highly recommend all the food. Definitely a locals spot. Hubby and I stopped by on our way to OC. I had a western omelette & my husband had a Big Breakfast. His breakfast came with 3 golden pancakes Eggs & 3 meats. Plenty for 2! My omelette was delicious (I had egg whites) $1.00 extra but it was worth it. Instead of breakfast potatoes I had tomatoes . They were busy yet our food was on our table in less than 15 minutes. Stopped in for lunch and we were so excited to see they serve breakfast all day! We were seated immediately even though the restaurant was busy and our service was excellent. This is the place to eat in Milford. Every item is affordable and tasty. You can expect to be quickly seated and served unless you come on Sunday when it is packed. There are daily specials they post on social media that go outside the more traditional diner options. They are only open from 7-2 Tuesday-Sunday. During the warmer months they have shaded outside dining in addition to the two indoor seating areas. read more

My husband and I visited on a Sunday around 10am. It was busy but we were seated in about 10 minutes. Service was fast and efficient. The restaurant seems to serve regulars - the wait staff knew all of the customers (we were from out of town). There is a diner ambiance here - it is not a fancy restaurant. The food was good but not gourmet. Prices were ridiculously cheap (especially considering the price of eggs right now). read more

My wife and I had the pulled pig and it was simply amazing. It was the best pulled pork I'd ever had anywhere. The take on how it was presented with the reverse sourdough roll and all of the flavors of the slaw and sauce and pork coming together. Yum!!! I have not had better and I immediately wanted another one. I will definitely be keeping an eye on this food truck. Way to go guys, you are definitely doing something right with that sandwich.

Don't drink so can't really provide any context there. I go places for the foods. I'm gluten free and they had plenty of options for me to include pizza! I ordered the fire roasted Brussels sprouts, the stuffed jalapeños, and deviled eggs for apps. My pizza was next, gluten free of course, and did not disappoint (crumbled sausage and whipped ricotta). We've found two great pizza places here recently and this is one of them! Honestly, really hard to come by good pizza in Delaware. The other menu items were serious bonuses for me since apps are lacking in this state too. Service was great, attentive enough but not over the top. Also, yes, they do offer a military discount. Good music on, quiet for a weekday afternoon which I like.. I'll be back!

I will summarize my four most recent happy hour off season visits. We were first here at the bar with my six family and friends. Well finally the off season happy hour half price dinner entrees have finally returned here starting around mid October with pretty much the same entrees and menu as last year. They subsequently updated the half price entrees in early November. All items have pretty much returned here except for some new entrees. The good news is that at least two new half price happy hour dinner entrees were added including the surf and turf with espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon with two skewered shrimps, yukon mash, tomato garnash with blue cheese in the middle of the tomato for $40 or half price for only $20. I never had espresso encrusted filet mignon, therefore I ordered and enjoyed mine medium rare. I could barely taste the encrusted espresso. I ended my dinner with my favorite Fiddlehead's draft honey porter for $6. My total bill was $111 with half price discount of $36.50 so my final bill was $77. On my second return I enjoyed my ahi tuna rice bowl with broccoli, ginger fried house rice, sprouts and ginger vinaigrette for $36 or half price for $18. My total bill was $72 excluding gratuity. On my third return I again enjoyed the espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon, which I had ordered medium rare, but was over cooked to medium. I did not complain about returning my filet for a replacement, however I did show it to bartender Dennis. Next time I will order my filet rare. On my fourth return I enjoyed my usual cosmos and my ahi tuna rice bowl which was always properly cooked ahi style. Bartender Dennis always remembers I prefer a little extra spice, without me even asking for my Sriracha. Dennis recommended both of the above entrees. See my most recent pic of the new menu. Chef Cowan waved to me at the bar. Bartender Dennis served us very well supported by our usual excellent recommendations and conversations. Chandra and Cameron also said hello. The staff here are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. On Black Friday I purchased another $1k in gift cards for the off season from Off The Hook and Hooked in OC. Needless to say we will continue to return here for happy hour to spend our $1k.
