Local restaurant serves up tasty brunch with family feel. Efficient and friendly, the staff here know how to turn tables. We went on a Sunday and had perfect pancakes, and a cheddar omelet. The home fries were undercooked, but the coffee and everything else was on point.

    Cinnamon Roll Pancake

Oh my goodness! I had heard rumblings about these cinnamon roll pancakes so I finally came over here to try these. They absolutely live up to the hype. Everyone was super friendly too. The place is very much like a down home old fashioned diner feel. You feel like you're home. Amazing place. I wish it wasn't always so busy but...you can't knock a place for being too busy. They deserve every customer they get. Great job!

Superior breakfast at West Side Restaurant in Milford, DE. A little hard to find it what appeared to be a warehouse district in the older part of town. But, GPS got us there and after a quick drive around we found the entrance to the smallish parking lot, and the front door inside the covered patio. Service was friendly and knowledgeable, with our server easily subbing tater tots for hash browns and refilling our coffee in "to go" cups so we could take them with us. My Chicken Fried Steak with two Sunny Side Ups was excellent. The steak was flavorful and moist and absorbed the runny yolks well. The tots were crisp without being oily, and the Sausage Gravy (on the side) was delicious and great for dipping the taters in. Son's Patty Melt and Fries were the way he liked them - medium finish, so he could taste and enjoy the quality ground beef in the patty. We were both pleasantly surprised by our meals, not thinking that Milford offered anything this good in a drive through roadville along Route 113. Very happy to stand corrected on that score. Def worth a return visit.

    Florentine Omellette with Egg Whites

Tasty Sunday brunch. Country fried steak was great ... crispy, tasty, and tender. Spinach and tomato Florentine Omelet is very good. The waitress was fast and checked on us often for this diner like ambiance.

It took a few for minutes for our server to come to the table. She was not overly friendly but seemed to be okay. We ordered a Bacon Omelette with potatoes and wheat toast and a BLT breakfast sandwich. Food was out in a reasonable amount of time, brought by someone from the kitchen. The food was good, nothing great but decent. We did have a cinnamon roll and it was absolutely delicious. We never saw our server again, she never checked on us, and I would have liked some more tea and some more jelly. We waited about 2o minutes to get our bill after we were done, our plates neatly put together and sitting on the table and she never came to our table. We went up other her ask for our check and she told us to just pay at the cash register. So, all in all, not a great experience. I saw other waitresses who were attentive to their tables so I think it was just our waitress. I didn't see her around much so maybe she was doing something else, making coffee's or something. I think the fact that she did not want to bring our bill was the worst. With all the good options around I am not sure I will be retuning but it is worth a try to make your opinion.

When our party arrived, we sat in a place that would be good with the dogs, because their was another dog near the entrance. My friend had asked for a high chair and the high chair arrived beyond disgusting. We were all grossed out by the state of the high chair and our table - no one wiped it clean or did anything. I helped and cleaned it for my friend and the picture that I posted is after the fact it's been wiped. Please imagine how bad it was before I wiped it with 4 sanitizing wipes. The waitress, Becky came over and asked if we're ready to order, meanwhile she saw our entire party wiping the tables and high chair and never once offered to clean it. She didn't even understand that we haven't looked at the menu because we're too busy doing the restaurant's job to offer a clean environment to eat and dine. She seemed annoyed that we weren't ready and left and turns out the other dog was her daughter's and they were there hanging out. She, of course seemed more cheerful there, then she was with our party that just sat. We haven't done anything to annoy her besides just arriving. The restaurant did provide water bowls for the dogs, but no one really seemed to be happy to see dogs being there, so not sure why this place would be a great place to take dogs. I just really thought all the staff here would all love dogs. I didn't taste the smashburger, but it was flagged that it wasn't a true smashburger, since there wasn't any crispiness or thinness. It was just a regular burger. I got the mussels daily flavour that was "Thai" - decent, but a lot of the mussels came closed and not sure why it would be "Thai" when they used jalapenos as their heat. Shrimp Basket - not great. Very disappointing experience - wished I didn't pick this place and wasted a meal here for the sake of wanting to bring my dogs to a place where I thought would be a great place for them.

We've found two great pizza places here recently and this is one of them! Honestly, really hard to come by good pizza in Delaware. The other menu items were serious bonuses for me since apps are lacking in this state too. Service was great, attentive enough but not over the top. Also, yes, they do offer a military discount. As you can see from my more than ten past reviews over 4 years and my last review in August 2025…read morethis is now one of my top three happy hour restaurants during the off season. I will summarize my four most recent happy hour off season visits. We were first here at the bar with my six family and friends. Well finally the off season happy hour half price dinner entrees have finally returned here starting around mid October with pretty much the same entrees and menu as last year. They subsequently updated the half price entrees in early November. All items have pretty much returned here except for some new entrees. The good news is that at least two new half price happy hour dinner entrees were added including the surf and turf with espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon with two skewered shrimps, yukon mash, tomato garnash with blue cheese in the middle of the tomato for $40 or half price for only $20. I never had espresso encrusted filet mignon, therefore I ordered and enjoyed mine medium rare. I could barely taste the encrusted espresso. I ended my dinner with my favorite Fiddlehead's draft honey porter for $6. My total bill was $111 with half price discount of $36.50 so my final bill was $77. On my second return I enjoyed my ahi tuna rice bowl with broccoli, ginger fried house rice, sprouts and ginger vinaigrette for $36 or half price for $18. My total bill was $72 excluding gratuity. On my third return I again enjoyed the espresso encrusted 4 ounce demi filet mignon, which I had ordered medium rare, but was over cooked to medium. I did not complain about returning my filet for a replacement, however I did show it to bartender Dennis. Next time I will order my filet rare. On my fourth return I enjoyed my usual cosmos and my ahi tuna rice bowl which was always properly cooked ahi style. Bartender Dennis always remembers I prefer a little extra spice, without me even asking for my Sriracha. Dennis recommended both of the above entrees. See my most recent pic of the new menu. Chef Cowan waved to me at the bar. Bartender Dennis served us very well supported by our usual excellent recommendations and conversations. Chandra and Cameron also said hello. The staff here are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. On Black Friday I purchased another $1k in gift cards for the off season from Off The Hook and Hooked in OC. Needless to say we will continue to return here for happy hour to spend our $1k.
