    This top rated Thai restaurant in Fort Greene takes you on a journey to the past with its vintage interior including dark leather seats, linen curtains, and a menu in the form of an old newspaper. The menu lists the different cities across Thailand from which the items originate like stops on a train route. Their signature hor mok delivers a fragrant and warm steamed crab in terra cotta clay pots. The Pla Tod Samun Prai features spicy branzino in a rich herby fish sauce. Their chili pepper spice-o-meter next to each dish highly underestimates the amount of heat you can expect compared to the average Western spice tolerance. Your mouth will be burning after this meal but in a good way. The creamy rich Thai iced tea with condensed milk offers a temporary reprieve from the spicy submersion. The servers provide warm and cheery Thai hospitality.

    I came with for dinner with some friends and had a great time! The staff is really friendly and the atmosphere and aesthetic of the restaurant is really well done. We shared the Hor Mok (10/10 really flavorful with a slight kick) and gor gluay (10/10 I just wish there were more pancakes). Then I got the Khao tom haeng (6/10 I can't take spice very well and sadly it seemed that all the flavor of this dish would've been from the spicy sauce they put on the side so I want able to use it) I tried someone else's khao pad mun neur which had two chili signs but was not spicy at all! It was full of flavor and way better than mine. For dessert we all shared the mango sticky rice which was really good and refreshing!

    Sukh is such a unique dining experience with its train-car theme that makes the whole visit feel like a culinary journey. Beyond the aesthetic, this is some of the best Thai food I've tasted so far. The Hor Mok is a must order. It was moist and packed with flavor and elevated by the branzino curry sauce. The Khao Hor Bai Buo was another standout w| rich fried rice with shrimp, chicken, Chinese sausage, taro, shiitake mushrooms, and salted egg yolk, all wrapped in a lotus leaf which added a subtle aromatic touch. The Pla Tod Samun Prai was also excellent, the branzino was bedded in this rich caramelized Thai sauce that gave it a fresh, flavorful contrast. The Pak Chong cocktail was smooth blend of bright herbal and citrus notes that paired nicely with the meal.

    Service was good, food was good. The fried tofu appetizer was delicious but the pad see you was ok. It says it was broccoli but there were inky the stems n no florets. That was disappointing

    My first real Thai meal since coming back from my dreamy honeymoon in Thailand and Sukh pretty much took us right back. Absolutely delicious Thai, even their basic dish of sautéed veggies. Short rib curry was the standout and both the hor mok app and lotus leaf wrapped rice were very unique, elevated yet not pretentious dishes. Need to come back to try the rest of the menu! Walked in on a Sat night and it was only a 15 min wait for bar seating. Bartender was super friendly, but hope to sit in one of the cute cozy booths next time!

    The restaurant itself is adorable! Came here with a group of 4 and we split everything. The apps and dessert were the highlights. The entrees were fine, nothing super memorable. I also limited our group some because I do not like spicy food and a lot of dishes were listed on the spicier side.

    Has such a nice dinner here with my love in Valentine's Day. We were lucky to get a table with no reservations, of course everywhere was packed out. This food was so delicious, with a great authentic and rich flavor. I had the pad Thai, scallion pancakes (they were good but a little spongy) and the spring rolls. Spring rolls were amazingly crunchy and delicious. I enjoyed my cocktails also. My partner had a noodle curry dish which was also delicious, tight down to the aroma, but pretty spicy. Service was great, nice intimate ambiance. Definitely want to go back

    NYC has many good Thai places, and Sukh does not dissappoint! Located in Brooklyn, Sukh has such a vast and interesting menu (including Thai classics), pointing out the locations of specific dishes each dish is locally from (so cool)! Every we ate here was great. We got the Hor Mok, Ped Toon, and some stuff off the seasonal winter menu. Everything was very flavorful and well done. Would defintiely suggest comming here - they are also dog friendly too!

    Did a walk in on a weekday afternoon and we were able to get a table for 2 right away! The menu has a lot of unique and authentic Thai cuisine some which I haven't ever seen or tried before! I ended up trying the hor mok which was beautifully presented. It does have a slight kick as well - but overall a very yummy dish that has hints of coconut milk and a blend of spices! I also got the lunch special which came with a yummy salad and an appetizer and main! The curry samosas were so flaky and delicious. The pad see ew was also really good and had huge shrimps! Overall, a really pleasant experience and atmosphere!

    Super interesting concept and interior. Very cool decorations, the train theme made me wish California had high-speed rail. Anyways, food was pretty good, the duck was super tender and the sauce was great. The pork belly was alright in my opinion.

    Sukh is a trendy Thai spot with exciting dishes and drinks. You'll get the classic feeling of loved hating spicy dishes because the kick is stronger than some spots, but you want to continue because it's really tasty. This one of the better Thai spots, but make sure you make a reservation because wait times could be bad. The Hor Mok is a nice starter because the presentation is cute. But taste wise it was just alright. I didn't get a strong impression from the crab meat and spices, which was disappointing because these cute bite sized circles reminds me of the endearing Takoyaki. I came in a group and didn't go fully family style, so I only really remember my experience with the Larb Nurh. However I can positively say that everyone enjoyed their dishes, the spice levels, and the variety of flavours. As for me, the Larb Nurh was a party to eat. There was a plethora of veggies to choose from, and the spiciness from the ground beef was very pravelent. Every bite had an intense heat, but the dish kept making me go back for another spoonful. The portions of the dishes were extremely generous, but we luckily still had room for dessert. Unfortunately the desserts that we had were mediocre at best. The Ice Cream on Bun was extremely underwhelming. A mid hotdog bun with some scoops of ice cream did not make anyone excited. The Taro Custard at least was different, but still didn't shine out either. Overall, a good trendy addition to NYC. Spicy enthusiasts should definetly come here. I didn't enjoy everything, but the things I liked were strong enough to consider a revisit.

    This place was soooo delicious! Went after a long shift at work in my scrubs and had a great meal. I got their Halloween special themed drink and it was actually a well balanced and thought out drink. Only downside was all their drinks were $18 which is just a touch on the high side but then again we are in downtown Brooklyn. The crab meat appetizer was so interesting, it was like a steamed fish ball with a generous serving of crab meat on top and the flavors were distinctly Thai and hit the spot. Fish sauce, lime, and lemon grass heaven. The sukh fried rice had very crispy delicious pork belly but not gonna lie the pink pepto bismol colored rice threw me off. It didn't taste bad but I've never had pink rice like that before and just not a fan of artificial coloring in my food, it probably wasn't artificial but still threw me off. We also got the fish and that was delicious , crispy and generous portion. Will have to come back again one day.

    They don't have kids menu and it is kind a small inside but they do have couple outdoor tables. And the staffs are super nice so I'm sure they can arrange something. Not sure if that's the answer you're looking for. 😜

Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles), chicken $15.00 Stir-fried flat rice noodle, bamboo shoots, garlic, basil, fresh chili, onion, carrot, string bean, bell pepper, long hot chili The flat rice noodle quantity was sufficient, but minimal and there were too much onion, insufficient string bean, two paucity pieces of carrot. I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. Pad Kee Mao sustained my hunger pangs and ate my fill. When eating Thai intense heat spicy foods, I visualize to think of the TV segment "Niall Horan & James Corden Take On Hot Wings" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in March, 2020. High heat spicy foods! Thai ice tea, large $3.00 This was a delight and neutralized the heat spiciness because it contains milk. It was served chilled in a large highball glass. Samyan is a Thai cafe located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NYC and accessible via MTA NYC Transit C local train at Clinton-Washington subway station. This cafe is a independently owned and operated, thankfully. The waitress did check-in with me during my meal for attentive customer service. The atmospheric conditions were a simple small dine-in cafe. There were many paintings, portraits hanging on their walls of white subway tiles. Gold metallic metal chopsticks and fork are provided. If utensils are gold then the interior cafe should contain these "gaudy" feature extensive gold elements, including gilded moldings and furniture. Peony rose are very simply and made pretty table centerpiece decorations. Takeout menu and business cards are available for grabs. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I paid $23.00 in cash as the waitress' informative knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the heat level on the Scoville scale.

The staff explained every unfamiliar dish we asked about, always with a smile. I usually avoid the standard NYC Thai restaurant lineup of pad thai + generic curry situations and look for places that feel more regional and authentic. The menu here had a bunch of dishes I didn't recognize, which immediately made me excited. They even have a spice guide though the icons don't necessarily mean increasing spice levels. As I understood it, different symbols represent different types of heat. Three chili emojis and three meteor emojis may be equally spicy, but they hit differently. They recommended not to order the pad krapow nuer, and honestly, fair enough. Instead, we got the chicken khao soi, which was far better than versions I've had elsewhere - deeply flavorful, spicy, rich with umami. My partner was crying. I, meanwhile, was at "this is perfect and I'm having a great time." One Huge chunk of chicken cooked exactly right. Mix everything thoroughly before eating. Then came the kua kling which arrived with another warning. That dish became my personal challenge to impress the server, and apparently I succeeded because now they've promised that next time they won't discourage me from ordering the nuer. They kept refilling cabbage and cucumber for us to cool down from the heat. The kua kling itself was incredible. That dry curry heat was everything. It builds slowly, then suddenly punches you in the face - but alongside all that spice is an insane amount of flavor. They also recommended to order a non-spicy side dish to have a balanced meal and spice level, but we skipped it because it would've been too much food. Honestly, this is the kind of place where going with at least four people is ideal so you can try more dishes and balance the spice levels. Spicy food, in case you didn't know, connotes authenticity. Call it suffering for beauty, in a culinary wrapper. Ugly Baby took this S&M theater to its logical conclusion in all regards: tuck it in an inaccessible corner of South Brooklyn; use tiny chairs and brusquely inform diners they have an hour start to finish at their table. The more inconvenient it was, the better. I held my applause after my single visit to Ugly Baby, which closed amidst wails and lamentation last year from people who liked rough treatment. But something drew me back to this reincarnation, started by the same people. Maybe, I thought, they'd found a way to bring us that magnetic authenticity, and hold the ball gags and chain flails? The answer is no. I should have known from the name alone: another mysterious two-word phrase (both of whose words again end in -y) that sounds like it could be an overly literal translation of some ineffable Thai concept. I should have known when it opened in the same godforsaken corner of ... what is that? Gowanus? I should have known from the protracted negotiations for a suitable table that followed when my husband, mom and I arrived punctually for our 5:30 reservation and were primly informed we'd be squeezing onto a two top, then were refused an obviously empty three-top ("it's reserved"....oh you mean by a party of three with a reservation like us?), and then grudgingly seated at a four-top, half of which was literally in the kitchen. I should have known after being apprised that "you have one hour at the table." I should have known when there were no appetizers or desserts, and only two vegetarian entrees. This is the same thing as before. We're so back, baby. The mushroom curry, with its single fire emoj, was nowhere near the spiciest thing on the menu, but gosh was it still spicy. How do they make food with such complex flavors that's still hot enough to have emanated from the bowels of hell? It has to be one of the best curries I've had. It's a talent, special even, but it could easily coexist without Hungry Thirsty's other downsides. But I think all those inconveniences and discomforts are the point. They serve to reinforce the specialness of the special parts, counterintuitively increasing your mental investment in internally extolling Hungry Thirsty's virtues. They are to each element what spice is to food: it hurts, and you're proud that it hurts. It all adds up to the second coming of Ugly Baby, and why wouldn't it? Enough people liked being slapped around; maybe they felt like they deserved it. You know if that's you or not.

The moo ping is nicely grilled and served with a sweet sauce. You just can't go wrong ordering meat on a stick. As an entree, I tried the Gaeng Awm Nur, a soup-like beef dish served with a side of sticky rice. Our server had been really nice and welcoming, so I felt ok asking how I should eat my meal. She advised that I make a ball of some sticky rice with my hand, mash it a bit, and then dip it into the soup. Thai food achievement unlocked! Now I know what to do next time I'm served sticky rice. There's so much on the menu it can be hard to choose. This is encouragement to go with someone else who enjoys food so you can choose things to share! You won't be disappointed and in fact may find that your regular Thai spots could step up their game in comparison.

As if the chef painstakingly labored to have the dish coming to the table be a mirror of the picture on the digital menu.
