Although the place itself is quite tiny, everything is executed perfectly there: the bun, the dog, the toppings. Even their sides are packed with innovation. My favorite is the pickle fries: Lightly breaded pickle strips with some old bay and horseradish sauce. The only downside is that it usually takes a while for them to make your order. This is the perfect post bar drunk food spot. Seriously, they know what they're doing staying open so late (I think like 2 or 3am). I'm not really big on hot dogs unless they're burnt on a grill on the 4th of July, but if I were to try one it'd be from here. I come for the fries. They soak up the alcohol and taste great. Word to the wise, it's not going to be healthy and there are not a lot of vegetarian options. When you walk in, the menu is written on a chalk board on the wall and you order at the counter. The menu consists of things you'd get at a ball game. There are a few seats to sit down after you order. The menu consists of normal hot dogs and specialty ones. If you're the more adventurous kind, try their late night hot dog for $5.99. All Beef 1/4 Lb Jumbo Kosher Hot Dog, Bacon, Fried Egg & Sauteed Mushrooms. There needs to be more egg and bacon on things. How could you go wrong? They had bison jerky on the menu which looked interesting. Might have to try that next time. There's also fresh cut fries. Went to Stuggys yesterday before the O's game yesterday after hearing people talk about it. The dogs were alright, though didn't taste much different than any hotdog you buy at a grocery store. I ordered mac n cheese and crab meat on my dog, and it was good, but not spectacular. The mac n cheese was a bit dry, and the crab meat while cooked well, didn't have much seasoning. The bun was also fairly ordinary. The concept is very neat and creative, combining hot dogs, mac n cheese, and crabs. I visited this place this past weekend with a couple of out-of-town guests. I love the concept - a hot-dog-ccentric restaurant. But, the hot dogs themselves were just a-o-k. I'm a sucker for pretzel dogs and was disappointed in their version. The pretzel wrap was pretty gummy and tasteless. I prefer the ones made in a booth in Cross St. Market, even though those dogs are not homemade. Both the males in the group ordered The Beast, and both were underwhelmed by their order. Their main complaints were that there wasn't enough hot dog to topping ratio and that the bun was pretty tasteless. I love to try new places and came across this little hole in the wall carryout shop. The service was quick considering there was only one person working. I don't like being forced to tip when they ran my card but I didn't see anyway out of it. I ordered food at the counter and cleaned up after myself. Not the biggest hotdog fan but we wanted something quick. Found this small little shop and it seemed it would fit what we were looking for. We were disappointed they had switched to their late night menu, which took away some of the options. I ended up settling on the lobster mac hotdog. The hotdogs are cooked to order so it took a few minutes. The lobster was cold so it was a bit weird having a mixture of hot and cold meat ingredients. Not bad but not great. What was actually the delightful surprise are the fries. If you're here make sure you get them. You get a ton of them and they fried up to order as well. I'd go back to get those again. read more

I got a crab Mac dog. The hot dog itself was great, grilled to there perfect doneness with the right amount of satisfying snap in the casing. My main complaint was the crab. I don't know what they did to cook the crab but it basically had the texture of jello with old bay on it. It was kind of disgusting solely because of the texture. Stuggys is always a must stop when I'm out in Fells Point. They serve gourmet style hotdogs everyday imaginable. The Chi-Town, Crab Mac, or the Early Riser are my favorites, but I notice a lot of folks purchasing the Motor City. I only gave 4 stars because last night the cashier got side tracked hitting on a young lady in line and did not enter everything I ordered in the computer. That's my fault for not realizing what I paid didn't match my order, but when I went to pay for the rest of my order their credit card machine had gone down. So I couldn't get all my hot dogs. I had the Bob Marley, Jamaican jerk chicken mango mayo was really sexy, jalapeño is nice change of flavor that soothes itself off with the purple topping (purple cabbage maybe) and mayo. I ate it way too fast, luckily my wife ordered the frank zappa and I could eat a bit of hers. We argued over which one was better, they were both awesome. Bruce lee had a bit too much spicy mustard for me but I was impressed by the creativity of merging a hotdog and egg roll perfectly. The shop is very tight with enough space to house about 6 people comfortably 4 bar stools and a bench directly next to a soda fountain machine. Their soda machine was special with unique soda flavors vanilla cream was our choice. I think they syrup was low when we had it. Food was fun and flavorful, a few things on the menu weren't available, missed out on crab balls and Cuban dog. Outdoor seating would be very useful here but hotdogs can be eaten on the go so not a huge deal read more

Stuggy's has long been a fixture of my friends' nights out in Fells Point. Last night was my first time eating there, and it lived up to the hype. If you're like our group, you'll typically arrive at 1am after some drinks and dancing to either serve as our half-time break, or cap off the night. The line always looks long, but the wait from the back of the line, to actually getting food is usually about 20min. When you have some friends to make conversation, it flies by. Overall, the crowd inside was friendly too. Stuggy's is open during the day and I'm sure it's great then, but it excels as a late night snack. It's hardy but not a full meal that'll weigh you down. There's good french fry choices, which are the size of a standard fry basket so I recommend ordering one and sharing with the group. Only disappointment of my order was the duck fat fries; they cost more than other options but taste like plain fries that just leave your fingers extra greasy. So next time I'll do sweet potato or plain. read more

This review is for the crab mac n cheese dog I had last Friday. I saw the picture of the mac n cheese dog outside and thought I would give it a try. When I got the dog the hot dog was hot and the crab mac n cheese was cold not even warm. The mac and cheese was not very flavorful and the hot dog was mediocre. The frys were pretty good no complaints there. I heard one the employees there say that the crab mac n cheese was his least favorite hot dog there. I wish I had heard that before I ordered it. All I can say is I WORSHIP this place. I stumbled upon it one weekday a few weeks back and it made my day. All I can say is "Fried Pickles!!!!!" Seriously?? I love pickles and I love French fries- the 2 together = heaven!! These gluten free dogs are amazing...its so fun to "build" them yourself. And the fountain sodas are awesome- its like a gourmet twist on a hot dog stand. The staff is super cool and the fact that it is open until 3am Thursday through Saturday doesn't hurt either. The guy at the counter was very patient and helped us order, the menu is huge. Their black cherry and vanilla soda mixed was the best soda I ever had!
