    Prosciutto parma pizza

This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to since visiting Italy with my wife. The quality of the food was amazing, authentic, and all around just good tasting. We had the calamari (family favorite), beet salad, boar ravioli, mushroom pizza, margarita pizza, Prosciutto pizza (personal favorite). It was a lot food and itall tasted great. The pastas and pizza dough are freshly made and you can tell they use good quality ingredients . The service was also amazing. It felt like we were eating at a close friend's house. We went here with my family after my daughter's Christmas recital and glad we did. They were warm, attentive, and they made sure we were taken cared of. It's a great location too, right in downtown Ballard next to Bergen Park. Perfect for people watching while eating, having an intimate dinner, or having a celebration with friends and family. We'll definitely be back and would definitely recommend if want either good food, good service, and good location. They also have a nice front patio right in the heart of Ballard for great people watching.

do NOT sleep on this spot in downtown ballard! it might easily be my go-to pizza pasta spot now! had such a wonderful experience at strega. we came on a saturday afternoon and it was not too busy. we were seated right away. the space is bright and comfortable, with a view of the bar and live pizza making!!! we ordered the fritto misto (SO SO SO GOOD!), the batter was light and crispy, seafood fresh, and it came with this lovely bright green parsley oil, top it all off with a squeeze of lemon, and wow!!! this might be the best calamari i have ever had. it was so good, we ordered a second round of it. and that parsley oil, i need a jar of it stat, i keep dreaming of it still... we got two pizzas and a pasta to share amongst the four of us! the pizzas were delightful, the crust perfectly thin and crispy, toppings generous. the sausage is made in house. the mushrooms were so carefully thinly sliced. the red sauce was bright and fresh! the pasta was good too, and i liked that it was a fun shape and hand made! cooked perfectly al dente, it had a good chew to it!

Fantastic new spot in Ballard! Staff are great; service is excellent overall Food is delicious; their pizza choices you can't go wrong...literally reminds me of the pizza in Europe! Wood fired, thin crust, sauce without too much fuss, and fresh toppings. All in all an excellent meal. The atmosphere is nice and was great to easily sit at the bar. Highly recommend stopping in!

What a new local gem. Came in for some happy hour action and split the happy hour half pizza, pasta, and panuozzo along with some drinks. The pizza crust is absolutely divine and it has to be one of my favorites now in the city! The mozzarella was also so thick and delicious which I wasn't honestly expecting. The panuozzo I think utilized the same crust as the pizza but the filling was so delicious with pistachio and mortadella. I didn't love the pasta as much as it wasn't something too memorable but it wasn't bad either. Lovely servers who work here and they have al fresco dining which is fab. I can't wait to come here for a full dinner experience to try the rest of the menu (especially their pizzas) and I'm excited to see what their salads, meatballs, and desserts are like.

Amazing. Best espresso martini I've ever had and the pizza was also so so so good. Lovely server (I think he's the owner), definitely returning here. Hands down one of the best places in Seattle for food, drinks, and service.

We are having a friend over for dinner this week who we have not seen in over a year, so we wanted to make it extra nice. This is a PERFECT place to stop for a host/hostess/housewarming gift, FYI. There is local honey, wine, meats, tamales, cheese, fresh pasta they make themselves, pantry items and canned goods like St. Jude's tuna. Plus Sweet Alchemy ice cream! I grabbed a jar of pickled asparagus and had to resist buying some really tempting dip they make in-house. As I was checking out, the staff person mentioned that the Tall Grass baked goods in the case were free because they were two days old and would be replaced the next morning by a fresh batch. So nice! I brought home a savory spinach breakfast item with me, which my partner greatly appreciated. Hint: Make sure you have cash on hand for a tip! They can't include tips on card purchases.

You walk in and order at a self-service kiosk, and there are plenty of options to customize your pasta. You can choose from different pasta types and sauces, which makes it easy to build exactly what you want. We ordered the short rib pasta and the carbonara, along with a cannoli for dessert. After ordering, you seat yourself and they call your name when the food is ready. We had no problem finding a table for two. There seemed to be a lot of takeout orders coming through. Both pastas tasted fresh and were cooked al dente, just as advertised. The carbonara was creamy and flavorful. The short rib itself was good, but the pasta and sauce were a bit separated, so the pasta didn't absorb as much flavor as I expected. The cannoli was very filling and had a hint or orange in it. Overall, it's a good spot if you're looking for quick, customizable pasta. Just keep in mind that it's more of a fast-casual place rather than a full sit-down service restaurant.

I'm an Italian from New York. I lived there for 22 years. When I tell you I haven't had good Italian food since I moved to Washington 5 years ago (yes, I even disliked The Pink Door), I mean it. And when I say this is the BEST pasta and sauce I stumbled across today, I MEAN IT. I feared writing this review would cause the pasta to sell out faster. I went around 12:30 today and most of the pasta was already sold out (I believe they open at 9 am). I guess I'll be waking up earlier to beat everyone there for the rest of my life. I finally noticed their booth while roaming around the market during a snow day, which resulted in a uncrowded market. Anyways, the man running the booth was so easy to chat with. I ended up purchasing their saffron tagliatelle and beet and goat cheese ravioli since he sold me on how to prepare those pastas. He even gave me his business card and told me to not hesitate to call if I had any further questions while cooking. You can't beat service like that! Later that night, I followed his suggestions on how to prepare those pastas: Saffron tagliatelle with shallots, onions, crab meat and a little cream. Beet and goat cheese ravioli with caramelized onions. We ended up adding a little bit of cream to it. I was blown away with both dishes. Both pastas had the perfect texture and flavors were amazing. The saffron pasta had a nice creamy taste while the ravioli tasted earthy and mildly sweet. Best of all, these were quick to prepare, and there's no need to thaw the pastas either. While it takes 3-4 min to boil the pastas, the total cooking time was under 15 min. Next Sunday I'll be returning to stock up on those pastas for those nights I need a quick meal.
