Consistently delicious pizza and very friendly staff. Their app is a bit difficult to navigate if you want half-and-half pizzas (necessary in my house with a picky eater), so it's best to call directly if that's what you want. The menu is gargantuan and I've tried quite a few things and they've all been really good. Had me really looking forward to the menu. We ended up ordering the Spanakopita as our appetizer and Carbonara and Lasagna to share together. This was the first time I've ever had Spanakopita and I enjoyed it a lot. I like the flaky-ness of it and how light it felt. The lasagna also was very good. carbonara pasta was unfortunately disappointing though. Definitely felt like they used cream for it. It wasn't a legit carbonara pasta sadly. I'm conflicted between 3 and 4 stars because I'd divide it into pizza and pasta. To start - the pasta wasn't that good. However, the pizza was delicious! I was craving Italian because one of my roommates was heating up some pizza bites and so I stumbled upon Modena on Grubhub. Food was prepared quick and still steaming hot when I received it. Credits to both Modena and the driver for that. I was looking forward to tasting some chicken parm but the one here wasn't quite satisfying. The chicken was made well and perfect when coupled with cheese, but the rest of the dish was mediocre. Honestly it was simple noodles doused with marinara topped with a piece of chicken that received all the love. Would have rather made my own pasta and added chicken. That being said, most if not all pasta dishes are accompanied with garlic bread and another side. Those sides include more bread, salad, or soup. Personally, I chose the soup of the day to be surprised and it was chicken noodle soup. I almost chose extra bread, but I'm glad I didn't. The garlic bread was fluffy but rather bland. Chicken noodle soup was super hot but creamy and delicious. On the other hand, pizza was fluffy and simply looked appealing which added to the overall taste. It was not overly saucy and allowed the toppings to shine. I opted for the Meat 10" with pepperoni, ham, sausage, and salami. I was able to appreciate each meat's flavor due to the minimal sauce versus a fast food joint where they may be a bit underwhelming. read more

Rounding up to 4 based on previous pizzas. Last weeks would have got a 3. We've ordered pizza from Modena at least 5 times if not more over the last few years. They're normally very good. Not sure what happened last week but it almost seems like they forgot to put cheese on it. I was quite disappointed when I opened the box to see lack of cheese. Thank God I always have about 2 lbs of various cheese at home so I could add some to it. But when you're paying $30 for a Pizza it should have enough cheese on it that you don't need to add any. a very nice cozy spot, music wasn't too loud. I'm autistic and tend to get irritated by open kitchens because they usually make loud noises but this felt more laid back, not many loud noises. What a gem. Delicious pizza and excellent service. I stopped by to order a cheese pizza to go on a whim and in a rush, and I am so glad I did. The pizza was ready in exactly the 8 minutes promised, and the owner was so kind and generous, he offered us 2 free soda cans and a big slice of chocolate cake on the house. Great pizza. I really like the crust! One complaint is with the Yelp page. I've reported it several times but there are several images under the menu section (black menu) that is NOT their menu. Sorry you visual folk--no pictures but the descriptions are ok. Don't order too much especially if you get the pasta--it comes with garlic bread and soup or salad. The pasta proportions are pretty generous. Order it first and if you're still hungry, order more. Don't over order! Service: wait to be seated, order at the table, leftovers will be boxed for you, check brought to table. Italian Sausage Soup: a Soup of the day item. Sausage is homemade and has a delightful taste and spice. Tiny pastas in the clear broth are so satisfying to the palate. Perfect for warming up on a cold day! Fettuccini Salmon: I love the capers! Salmon was a bit on the salty side but the fettuccine and sauce help counter it. The sauce is not too thick and is lightly flavored with garlic. I just wish there were more veggies. Garlic bread: soft, light and fluffy with a slight outer crisp. Not too salty and has satisfying spices sprinkled on top. Italian Sausage Pomodorini: Sausage is delicious and has a slight kick. The sauce is a bit on the tangy side--lots of tomato chunks. You might find yourself reaching for water or more bread with this one. Tiramisu: homemade. Very light and fluffy! Not too sweet but enough to satisfy your sweet tooth. I kinda wished there was slightly more coffee flavor though. You know how when you eat tiramisu you can taste the individual layers as they hit your palate?
