Greek pasta with prosecco
India T.

I love pasta but not the overly tomato sauces so I order the Greek spaghetti with browned butter and mizithra cheese whenever it's on the menu. I was delighted to know that Santorini has it on the menu AND it's close to my house. Santorini had perfected this dish and additionally offers worth different proteins. Tonight I ordered for pick up and I was delighted when they threw in a bottle of prosecco. It's always nice when establishments remember you but it's beautiful when they express through gestures. Doesn't have to be a small bottle of prosecco but it doesn't hurt either. Thank you!

Hylopetes (Greek pasta ... I was in the process of taking out the sun dried tomatoes to give to my partner when taking the pic haha)

Walking into this restaurant for the first time, we noticed it was full and cozy- lots of families and bustle, but also not loud. We were warmly greeted by Ella, who owns the restaurant with her husband, and made to feel at home in a way that felt like being transported out of Seattle (which tends to be quite impersonal). The owners and wait staff know their customers, who are clearly regulars. We got the Odyssey pizza and hylopetes Greek pasta, both which were excellent! I loved the abundance of broccoli in the pasta and that the pesto wasn't heavy or overpowering. The wine was fabulous, and I was kindly offered if I wanted to try some first when I asked questions - that NEVER happens to me in restaurants anymore, which is hard because I am picky about wine! We were checked in on frequently and had such a wonderful experience at this family-owned gem.

Excellent food and the friendliest staff in this charming restaurant. I've been a fan since I discovered the restaurant in 1996.

Tried their pizza as take-out, and we were pleasantly surprised with how thick the layer of cheese and toppings was. Tasty!

While I was seated for my table at 6, I overheard people trying to get a table as a walk in and wait times were a couple hours long. We got their antipasto misto della casa where you get four of their antipasta and well worth it to try a little bit of everything. We don't go to fancy restaurants all that often, so definitely go for it! We got their staples, their two pastas: tajarin con burro e salvia and tajarin al ragu both half portions. I thought I would like their ragu more, but I absolutely loved their butter and sage so much more. It was perfectly salted and layers of flavors. Maiale Brasato Al Latte was the other main course and it was hearty and flavorful. It was actually hard to finish this meal affter the antipasto and pasta! They finished of our meal with a candle and apparently it's given to couples celebrating anniversaries to create an ambience and making a wish as a couple!

The angelic pasta noodles were all made in-house from scratch, being able to soak in the buttery and beefy flavors. - Ambience was a bit noisy and it was cold from 3 different air going around, but the dim lighting and intimate space made the experience feel special. Some of the staff were fairly nice and some gave off an impatient vibe. Overall, I felt rushed, which was unfortunate. - My favorite dishes of the night were the dolci (desserts), which were incredibly well balanced between zest/sweet and cream/baseline. - *Peperoni Marinati Con Purea Di Cece *Tajarin Con Burro E Salvia *Tajarin Al Ragu *Trota Con Fagioli *Zuppa Inglese *Bicerin

Not only to experience the food, but the DREAMY outdoor space I had seen all over social media. Service was excellent from start to finish. We managed to get an outdoor seat (yay!) and the vibes were immaculate from the start. It definitely gives off more romantic/date night vibes, but it was also fun to experience with some ladies from my team. Perfect for a girl's night! Obsessed with the string lights, the fountain, and the overall atmosphere. You somehow don't even realize you're in the middle of Seattle when you're here. The menu has so many options which made it so hard to choose, but I ended up going with the Fettucini ai Fungh - fresh fettuccini pasta with wild mushrooms served in a light cream sauce topped with truffle oil, and I also added chicken. When I say this is probably my FAVORITE pasta I've had in Seattle, I'm not kidding... I almost cleared my plate which is hard for me as my eyes are always bigger than my stomach, but I made it happen! The cream sauce was rich but not too heavy, and the truffle oil was prominent without being crazy overpowering. 10/10 absolutely no notes. Hands down would have trouble ordering something else when I visit again. Without a doubt, I will be returning in the future for a date night!

We had a reservation for 7:00 PM and specifically requested outdoor seating. When we arrived, they seemed very busy, so we simply said that if our outdoor table wasn't ready, we would be okay sitting inside instead. We were only trying to be accommodating and make things easier for the staff. We were initially seated inside, but they eventually moved us outside because that was what they had available and what our reservation was originally for. At that point, the staff seemed noticeably upset with us for having sat inside. Our host then argued with us and said that we had requested to sit inside, which simply wasn't what happened. We never demanded or even preferred indoor seating. We preferred to sit outside from the beginning and only offered to sit inside if it helped because they seemed busy. It was frustrating to have our attempt to be flexible turned into an issue and then be argued with about what we had said.

Great food and a nice ambiance!…read more My friend and I came here for dinner and we laughed because we totally passed the sign where it said not an entrance and entered the back instead of the front door. The staff was very friendly. We shared the clams and mussels along with branzino with pasta and a slice of chocolate cake. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly! I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese, and shortly after, house-made bread arrived complimentary, served with olive oil and an herb-based dipping mixture, along with a small ramekin of grated cheese. The bread was very good and a nice start to the meal. The Spaghetti Bolognese was excellent. I took my time with it and really savored each bite -- the rich, creamy sauce with the Bolognese was honestly heavenly. Exactly the kind of comforting pasta I was hoping for the night before a race. I'd recommend making a reservation, although surprisingly they weren't particularly busy on a Saturday evening. Given how good the food was, that genuinely baffled me. All in all, a home run -- and I went on to finish 5th overall in my race the next morning, so I'd say the pre-race pasta did its job. I'll definitely return to Brunello if I'm back in Seattle. For those short of time and live with no adventure I'll cut to the chase. The food is exquisite…read more For the rest, please read on. This last week while traveling for business to Seattle I had the pleasure of dining at Mezzanote. Their name of course implies it is an Italian restaurant but what you don't realize until you have sat and initiated your meal is that you, regardless of choice are embarking on a beautiful tribute to Northern Italian cuisine. At first arrival, the immediate impression is one of modest presentation but friendly and very inviting ambience. The staff, including our Server Marcus was attentive and had impeccable timing to read the table and flow of those joined in the meal. Check back was perfect and his service support was equally in tune with the other tables on the patio where we sat. Now this is what you have been waiting for... The food and I mean, we had almost one of every item on the menu and every dish was simply delicious. Tastes that were balanced and never overwhelming, but truly inspired dishes that your taste buds understand that the food was made with care and meant to satisfy even the toughest of pallets. Let's start with the house focaccia and ask for the disco sauce to dip your bread. It was a tummy satisfying start but then they dropped the focaccia regala and with the cheeses melted in a medley that left me thankful I was as they say "hungry as a hostage" because the meal had just begun. The next appetizer brought out was the Carote... This medley of carrots smoked with a Chile Honey Glaze left this BBQ born and raised Mexican wondering why ?? And then I had my first forkful and any doubt that I had about the chef creating something sacrilegious by smoking carrots left me, as the flavors were amazing. For a moment I forgot I was eating my vegetables.. where was this when I was a younger man. On to the main courses and the Reginette was first up. This Bolognese was a hearty blend of flavor and subtlety as it wasn't overly anything except satisfying. The Braciola Dia Miaale was a durock pork chop with a rhubar mostarda and salsify puree with asparagus that could not have been better. You didn't have to be a pork chop fan to enjoy this at all. Every dish that arrived was better than the one before. The Bucatini C'Anciuova, Prawns with Calabrian Chile, anchovies, tomatoe and orange zest was a delight and I don't normally eat anything overly spicy. This was a balance of heat with a twist of tang that the orange zest delivered flawlessly. Allow me to share that it is imperative you save room for dessert. Their tiramisu taste as if there is some Italian grandmother locked away in a pastry room kicking these out. They have other desserts to be sure, but this is the star of the show in my opinion. For those of you that are wine enthusiast, they did have a wine list that was impressive. All in all, for those that follow me, you know that it is a rarity for me to give any place I visit five stars from the first visit. Consistency is premium in my book. But as I mentioned to one of our fellow diners. This food is amazing, and the reality is each of these dishes could be served in a five-star venue layered with opulence and still the food would outshine the location. The only drawback was there was no Coke Zero... Damn it ...Turns out though that can be a pretty tough find in the city of Seattle in all the restaurants. For one that does not participate in alcohol or wine, my taste buds were not underserved and I survived without my Zero. This place is a go-to for any Italian yearning for authentic Italian food made with love. That's the only way I can describe just how good the food is. This isn't something that is prepared in volume for the masses. The chef and that team are simply serving with their hearts and it resonates with every bite. I'll be back, again and again. Oh and should you find yourself needing to go to the restroom. Ask for the Disco restroom.. that alone is worth the drive... Lol until next time Mezzanote! Thank you for a wonderful meal.
