Got swindled by these skeeze balls recently, they recommend a unit based on the size described, then when I pulled up said that it wasn't big enough and I needed a new unit, after agreeing to the new unit, they turned around and charged me an additional $10 fee for that and I lost their "admin fee" of $25. STRAIGHT UP SHADY. The worst type of people to give your money to. With allll of the other types of businesses like this out there, they do shady stuff like hidden fees and force you to come in to close the account. Do yourself a favor and don't spend money with them, go to one of the many other storage unit places. The uhaul storage place right around the corner quoted me a cheaper rate!! read more

Again another five stars, my bill is due on the first and as usual well not really I forgot to pay it on the 1st and today on the 7th I received a text message from StorQuest reminding me about my bill. I immediately went to my computer and paid it and was so appreciative of the fact that they sent me a text message to remind me to do that. I was very grateful because sometimes I forget when or if I have paid my storage because sometimes I pay for a month sometimes I paid for two months and I can never remember which ones which so needless to say I was very excited when I got the text message. read more

Someone had broken into one of the storage unit, my other half was renting out in the basement area. She had a cheap lock on it at the time, one of those made in China locks. Medium size, easy to pick lock. She didn't put one of those heavy duty locks on it at the time. Which she should of, anyways went to the storage to find out her personal belongings were taken. The thieves managed to grab what they could and go. All the totes were broken. I felt bad for her, she had memorable things in there that can't be replaced. There is no surveillance cameras around the basement area. She just felt so violated. Who would not be. Called the Long Beach Police which took forever. Informed the storage manager Rick of the situation. Rick was so cool, he felt bad about what had happened. Rick had a few storage units available up top with surveillance cameras in all angles. Rick was so helpful and sincere. Just be sure you put heavy duty locks on your storage units. Or what crooks are doing also, is cutting your lock and they put a lock on there, so it looks like it wasn't broken into. Check up on your storage unit every so often. My other half didn't check on it for atleast four months. Now we make it a habit to check on it all the time. If a crook wants your things, they will find a way to do get it. I had a storage space at this location for about 10 years, so I saw it change from Linkletter to StorQuest. In the beginning it was great, helpful employees and clean facilities. However, over the years it changed. Employees were no longer that helpful, nice and the facilities declined (including several rat infestations). Now it is back to being a nice storage facility. Rodents are GONE. Cindy, the manager, is soooo helpful and nice. And so is Susan! I just recently moved out of the area and had to close the space. They both made it a breeze. If I could give a negative star I would. The staff is very very rude and unprofessional, place is dirty, smells like a bathroom AND noticed alot of rat droppings. Madeline has absolutely no positive customer service qualities and acts as if she is perhaps on a controlled substance. Requested number to speak with a supervisor or manager yet no one ever answers that number. Will do my diligence and hopefully speaks with someone who cares about their customers. read more

The location wasn't ideal for me, but Rick was super responsive- and they have great social media and ways to connect and get service 24/7. Easy to communicate with. Best prices around. Overall the entire place is very clean. There is video surveillance all throughout the property. It feels very safe and secure. Rick is the best! So they are still a good storage place, only problem is they get you in on a discounted rent price, then hike up the price every few months because of "improvements". In the end you are paying the same amount as any other place. I suggest if you can possibly get some kind of rent control on your unit in the contract before you start storing there. All storage places do the same things, and you can do nothing about it, unless you get it in writing. read more

EXPECT A 30% + RATE INCREASE EVERY 6 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!!. I was here as Linkletter and my rate would only go up a $1 or $2 per year. That is reasonable. Here it went from $90 to now $114 in 1 year. It really is too bad as Rick is great and the property is great. They are betting you do not want to move your stuff. I can find great employees and great storage at many facilities. I moved from Redondo Beach to Paramount so I had to move my StorQuest unit from Torrance to Long Beach. Staff was very helpful and showed me around facility. The price was better than Torrance. Paying a little more than half of what I paid with Torrance for same approximate size space. Unit was clean and Christina even offered to sweep it out for me before I moved in. Love the fact that access hours are longer than office hours. Didn't have that at Torrance. Would recommend to anyone looking to rent storage. read more

This place is a shit hole! They have people living in units, the place is dirty and weeds everywhere! A -10 rating would be far too nice! The staff is clueless and wouldn't recognize what customer service is if it fell out of the sky landed on their face and started to dance! They have no cameras in the back, where our unit was, the officer who came out to take the report due to the fact that our unit was broken into, stated that they are aware of the dozen or so homeless staying in the units but nothing has been done by the piss poor management. The officer also let me know that mine was the 6th report of stolen property and unit break-ins in a month! Yet management told my husband that the missing camera was on the next year's to do list! The dork behind the counter said he wasn't allowed to call the police and that I could if I wanted to.... really? Thanks for nothing. Then things got bad, he wouldn't say anything else to me, as I wasn't on the contract only my husband! But had in the past taken payments from me and allowed me access to the unit! WTF? I will never recommend or use this crappy company again. I would have better luck keeping all of my belongings if it just sat in the bed of my pickup on the street! read more

Absolutely DON'T put your stuff in storage here. We moved in and had our stuff stored for 6 months and we were told that there was coverage for any damage or loss. Our stuff got infested with rodents and tons of stuff was damaged. We lost all our furniture and what we could save we had to clean. When we spoke with the manager Rick he assured us that we could file a claim. He made it seem like it was not a big deal and everything would be fine just to make sure to show documentation of the damages when we file the claim. After filing the claim we found out that rodents are not covered. So we were stupid enough to pay for insurance that doesn't cover damages. However they fail to tell you btw our storage facility has a mass proportion of infestation. We spent 3 days cleaning every single item in our storage and meticulously going through and recording damages. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNETHICAL IN EVERY WHICH WAY POSSIBLE. read more
