This is the first time I've rented from Stor-It but I've got to tell you, compared to PS, they are great in the customer service department! I am glad I found them and I was lucky to get on a special promotion. My rent is about 1/3 less than it would have been elsewhere. The facility is clean and easy to get to and I'm on the ground floor. That is a plus instead of having to put your code in for every door you open, and the elevator too. Large rat infestation throughout this facility when you sign your contract it states they are not liable for damage. I recommend going elsewhere because this facility will take no responsibility for the damage and destruction of your personal property you pay for them to store. I finally moved my things out from this storage and when I did there were live rats and droppings all over my items some things had to be thrown away. This storage is infested with mice and they neglected to tell me some of my things have droppings it's disgusting it also smells like dead mice I asked them to have the manager contact me and they are refusing to even answer my calls to reimburse me for my damaged items the Hispanic lady in the front that speaks broken English is also refusing to have the manger contact me they are stating I owe them money however I paid for a month and was out before the time was due and they know they owe me money for my damaged items and they don't want to pay me seems I will go the legal route read more

Stor-It is a great place. I recently started using this facility and they are very helpful and affordable. Specifically Xiomara, the manager. WARNING: RAT infested with dead Rats in the units and in the walkway where the units are, my unit had been broken into and someone changed the lock on it, I couldn't even get in my own unit that I was paying for, had to get the lock cut off, then I was told couldn't be compensated for what was taken if i didn't have insurance on my unit. Dead RATS the driveway on the facility. Poor Customer service in the last 2yrs. Don't stop here, keep driving..... They also have A CUSTOMER COMPLAINT phone number but when you call it you can only leave a message, and hope that someone calls you back... The worst ego driven customer service storage facility in Long Beach. They actually get off on telling you NO. They haven't gotten the memo that treating customers with dignity and kindness will keep them coming back. I'm moving out this week. Yeah they have a bad mouse problem too. Make sure you read the bad reviews. They're the honest ones. On their website it states this - "-It is still a family owned business and you will find friendly onsite managers at each of our locations. We work hard to offer great service and it shows, many of our tenants are repeat customers!" Their statement couldn't be further from the truth. They bully their customers, and when you ask for a manager they give you a number to call. Of course no one answers and you have to leave a message. The next day a manager calls you back then bullies you some more. This place is a nightmare. read more

I have to say my disappointment in this company at this point in time is immense. I have been a long time customer with 2 units and always make my payments. Last month I was hit from every side and angle by one 2 by 4 after another. And I'm 71 not 21...resilience, at least physically, is much less with each decade of life. My 90-year old husband had 4 falls this year and the most serious last month. We were living on pins and needles, not knowing what the outcome might be. When someone falls at 50 or 60 it can take its toll - try dealing with it at 90! At the same time, my business partner transitioned and due to this CV insanity, his brother was not able to come to the US to deal with my partner's storage locker in Newport Beach, miles down the road. I took on this job not realizing the extent of the work involved. As I stated, I'm 71, and though healthy and fit, all of this has been extremely challenging and stressful! However, as if that is not enough, we have our home up for sale and the brunt of everything obviously is on me to make sure the house is in order and immaculate, furniture moved, furniture removed, and the place is presentable 24/7. Plus arranging somehow to be out of here for the many open houses (try that with someone who is not able to walk! Or be on his feet for more than a few seconds! What do you do and where do you go???) And with the home going on the market (and EVERYTHING that entails) at the same time as massive caregiving for my husband, and clearing out my deceased business partner's locker, and packing to donate, distribute and ship the valuables to his family in another country, I have day-to-day life to contend with. So needless to say I missed the month's payments on both of my units. Completely spaced on them with everything else of an URGENT nature filling my mindspace. In my counseling business and practice with patients and clients, I have always worked individually and compassionately to allow for issues and problems and make allowances for them. If it is an ongoing issue, we talk about it and work it out. If it occurs once or twice over a long-term relationship, I always give the person the benefit of the doubt. And I remember not so long ago when any business worth its salt did the same! People first...the money will come! Greed has permeated business today. Sadly... And this company has gone to seed! My artifacts were destroyed by rats in one of my 2 units...I got a 1/2 month rent for free. Whoopteedo! I let it go because at least the managers, John and Terri, tried to help in every way possible to make up for the damages. But the management is another story - and the new managers at this Long Beach facility are puppets. They and their bosses have no compassion for their regular, long-term customers whatsoever. No concessions whatsoever. No allowances for family health challenges, for unfortunate situations, nothing! It was either pay a ton of fees or we'll make a small useless deal now and you have to vacate immediately! What a joke! Complete coercion...reminiscent of the present government! Typical of the self-entitled, self-serving, money always first, perspective of today! Especially in these "woke" states like CA. Breaks my heart to realize how entrenched and dominated humanity and the business world have become in this self-centered, self-serving, cold, greedy, sadly lacking in empathy, community-destroying lack of human values. To put money so far ahead of a limited income elderly couple's small request for consideration one time over years of loyal support of that business... And especially after several great reviews WHEN they deserved it. THEY DESERVE NOTHING NOW! IT IS ALL ABOUT THEM AND NOT THEIR CUSTOMERS! One thing I know for certain after 7+ decades on this earth is that you get away with nothing! What goes around comes around. You cause harm to others and eventually, your day will come. That I am sure of for this insensitive, greedy, self-serving management team! Don't give me the crap about the computers and there is nothing they can do (blaming an inanimate object is laughable at best!) - what a feeble excuse for not helping a "friend in need"! Again: what goes around comes around. And life is full of consequences. No acts of kindness given - then none shall be received...in fact, you will reap 10 fold the opposite of kindness. Enjoy the ride! In summary, ditch this company and look for one that cares about its customers. Once we move I will be thrilled to see the end of this disgusting excuse for a management team! Beware!!! In this storage staffs are shady with explaining and will manipulate you, none other than an inside job who would have thought to steal my stuffs and profiled me. I dnt wear expensive or whatever. They'l tell you that its one of the tenants who are thieves. It was kept in depth or covered with cloth meaning in depth they took my stuffs and checked it 1 by 1 inside containers, and all luggages. Ridiculously done! Theres new stuffs and slightly used appliances and electronics were stolen! Still no remorse and disrespectful to do that to anyone! We all work for a living. If you can't help..atleast dont hurt people! You dont know what others have in their plate! 1) My main qualm with the storage facility is that the facility closes too early, so if ur having one of those long moving days u won't get into this facility after 6:45pm!!!!! 2) Make CERTAIN that ur gate code OPENS the gate up or u will not be able to get in. It happened to me but was quickly rectified once management was aware. They keep the grounds exceptionally clean and organized and quick to respond to your needs. read more

This place has the worst customer service and when you call the corporate number to voice your concerns you just get an answering machine and no ones is available to answer your questions and/or concerns. The previous resident Managers John and Terri were the best. They were always available to listen and provided great customer service. The storage place was fine until they started charging me without telling me I got one letter in the mail and then I called to find out they charge me for something I never wanted like boxes taped etc. without me agreeing This place basically stole from me I never gave any authorization to hold a card on file let alone them taking money out "without a authorization"........... This is literally called stealing Think again before you give your credit card out no matter what or who Very disappointed In how they conduct business If I never got this one letter I would never have known they had been charging me I wonder how many other people have been charged without them even knowing What business takes money out of other peoples account without authorization? Friendly, smiling people who seem to enjoy their job. Offered rolling carts to help move items easily. Other facilities didn't offer that at all. They have great discounts. I would not recommend this place to anyone. All my things that I've stored in this place was stolen. None of the management dont know how my things were stolen...they were not very helpful at all. They did not inform me when my things were stolen, instead they just covered it up by putting a new lock. I end up paying for the storage with nothing in it till I came in to find out that my things were gone. Really awful place to store your things. The place is not secure at all. Anyone can come in and out and cut the lock and steal anyones things that are stored. I would give this place a no star at all. read more

This storage facility is awesome! The facility itself is clean and I love the inside storage unit we have. It's secure as you have to have a combination to enter the property just like other storage facilities. But the key with this particular storage facility is that the employees are so friendly. John and Terri, the resident managers are incredibly kind and flexible. My husband and I unexpectedly moved back to Long Beach and had nothing in place except a temporary spot to sleep, leaving us the need for a storage unit. As we drove into Long Beach we made a couple of calls to local storage facilities and as we thought we were pulling into one we called, we accidentally ended up here. We went in to chat with them and it ended up being cheaper for a larger unit and they got us in immediately. The facility is very clean and not very busy, and seems secure. This place is great! Speedy service, workers are always nice, and helpful. Ive lost/forgotten my key to my lock a couple times and i live 200 miles away. After checking my identification to confirm i am the renter of the unit they quickly got the lock off for me. I feel very comfortable leaving my things there.
