I moved into Vault Storage THINKING I was saving money paying $68 for my unit. i drove actoss town to move into this unit for the price. 2 months later i recieve a notice saying my RENT IS INCREASING to $109 a month!!!! really?!!! This is a total scam and ridiculous. They just try to get you in.. I had public storage for 4 years and they NEVER increased on me. I even asked if they would increase rent when moving in and was told no. Now i am stuck with my stuff there and further away paying more and if i want to move it of course have to rent a truck and hire people because im pregnant!!!! am not one to complain much but believe me when I say to save yourself the money and headache. They know they are scamming customers and it's just wrong. UPDATE; they have increased my rent since to $122 a month all within a year. Beware!!! read more

This review is for the UHaul Box Container service. Rather than hire a mover to transport your goods across country, I highly recommend securing a UHaul Box container to store and ship. My experience at this location was pretty darn good. The staff are very professional, friendly, and willing to answer your questions. The staff interact with rude and sometimes belligerent customers, so I owe them a lot! Let's face it, moving is stressful and can be costly, and coordinating all the moving parts of your move can be challenging, but the staff understand the basics needs of storage, rentals, supplies and UBox very well. DO NOT RENT HERE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE * This was by & far the absolute worst decision I have ever made.Unfortunately due to money & time constraints I had no choice. My readers digest version: *Upon renting here, I called to get pricing and to VERIFY the offer & use of their truck FOR FREE(depending on availability). Within 20 minutes of them CONFIRMING that it was, I went down to look at the units was taken around by a man with the personality of a box of rocks and zero customer service skills. He seemed rather inconvenienced having to show me 3 different units. As I am in the office filling out the contract,another customer comes in, RESERVES THE TRUCK for the very same day that I was-mind you- I was there first & called ahead of time. And upon finishing the signing of the horrible- zero liability contract, when I was verifying the truck use- box of rocks tells me- sorry, it's been reserved. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Anyone with any amount of forethought would have said something - done something when I got there- that is the ONLY reason why I rented there! I was HEATED. Alas.. they couldn't care less. I was stuck-I had no other choice, they weren't accommodating whatsoever. *Moving day-I had to RENT A UHAUL pick up truck & make multiple trips- however-upon my very first trip to the storage facility, whats that? THEIR TRUCK WAS SITTING THERE PARKED. Now I'm even MORE pissed off than I already was. I finished my multiple truck runs in a pick up & a hired person from craigslist for their truck and many hours later I'm done. ** WHEN I CALLED UP TO THE OFFICE AFTER I HAD CALMED DOWN- to ask them WHY WAS THE TRUCK THERE when I had attempted to reserve it the day in the office and they told me it was taken- oh-- the guest already used it & returned it to us. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME & make no attempt to help me out why don't ya? I was FIT TO BE TIED!! So since I was ONLY renting there for sake of that truck & didn't get to use it EVEN though it was back when I needed it,are they going to compensate ME for having to rent and spend money elsewhere for a moving truck?! You would think right? WRONG!! Would you actually believe that the wretched woman on the other end of the phone line- Maria- must be related to box of rocks- told me that the best thing she could do was give me a credit of like $20 - $30 even though that didn't come close to the near $100 out of pocket I had to pay for the other. I was barely able to speak I was so angry and then when I finally said fine- I'll take the credit. (Yes, I had an attitude, but with every reason). She blatantly said to me and I quote "you know what? no, I don't think so, I don't have to credit you anything". she hung up on me. *** Fast forward- their service has not improved, now I'm ready to move out of there, went to give notice & pay a prorated amount of rent because I'll only be there until mid month & no. I have a charity and this place was the only one that gave me a good deal .Maria gave me a call when someone who was supposed to use the truck did not cancel and she knew I needed and wanted to use it ,you're supposed to pick it up by 10 but she gave me till 11 to get there .I found the place very clean the only minus is that they're not open late and I work till 6 so wish I could stay it would stay open till at least 9pm. Even on weekends. I found Maria and Rey very courteous. read more

It was a horrid place...as for security cameras, door alarms all lies...our unit was broke into and at least $7000 of our personal items were stolen..after all the reports were filed with the LBPD my husband and I went back and had them test all the alarms, they were non operational "Really".....and no surprise the cameras weren't working either....STAY away! !! read more

I've had my differences at times with some of their policies, but they've addressed my concerns quickly each time. The reason for the 4/5 of star review and the only warning I have for prospective customers is simply to choose not to go to, arrange, empty, or fill your unit on a day when they're doing auctions. The other 29-30 days of the month its a comfortable, safe facility. A significant portion of the people who frequent these auctions are inconsiderate, nosey, and disrespectful who will, if left unchecked walk right into your unit if you've opened it. This is of course NOT THE FAULT OF VAULT, though they could schedule their auctions outside of access hours or require prospective bidders to adhere to a strict code of conduct in order to participate and ask those who don't comply to leave. FAIR DISCLOSURE: I might be a little bit biased on this particular issue in all fairness, considering my personal belief that the entire storage industry is unfairly capitalizing on the public interest surge as it relates to these auctions. The contents of auctioned units are often sold for far in excess of the past due balance on the lessee's account, but unlike every other form of a lien-sale storage facilities are not required by law to return the balance of auction proceeds in excess of monies owes plus reasonable lien-sale fees to the individual(s) who has just had their property sold. The only other concern I had was regarding a notice I received informing me of a 166% rent increase. It has since been resolved and appears to be the result of inaccurate or abnormal market and availability data at the time they're software analyzed our account for a potential rent increase. The adjusted rent increase amounts to an approximately 40% rent increase, though its worth noting that we have been paying well under the current average rate for similar sized units in the area for about a year. Additionally, the new rate is still at or below the rates I've seen advertised in the area for similar units. I see other reviews which mention issues about their promotional offers and agree to some extent that their "Free Truck Use" offer needs to be more clearly defined in ads. However, we did receive receive the promotional offer we found (first month $1 with prepaid 2nd month) despite the offer being a couple days past it's expiration However, this was two years ago and I'm not personally aware of their flexibility or the discretionary temperment of management currently. The strongest asset of Vault is the space they are situated on. The very large and open single story arrangement of units allows you to drive to your unit without dealing with congestion that you experience in other facilities. That saves the time which gets wasted when a single inconsiderate individual's parking job clogs up the whole facility. it's also kept very clean. Suggestion: Option to request after-hours access code (between 7pm and 11pm or similar) would be extremely useful and add significant value to their product offering. Even if it was available for some nominal fee of $5 or less, allowed only one vehicle to enter, and came with a condition that if security video finds that a customer WILLFULLY allows other vehicles in or stays beyond the allowed time that are subject to forfeiture of after-hours priviledges and a fee. I have rented storage space here for over five years. The staff is helpful and courteous and the grounds are clean and safe. Mom's antiques, boxes and photos remained safe and dry, with no dampness or mold. The crew that maintains the grounds helped me dispose of trash and boxes when needed and at no charge. Well...I can't agree with these other reviews at all...and I'm sure reviewing an establishment you were employed at is pretty biased. I didn't yelp this place which if I did I would have turned the other cheek on it and looked elsewhere. I'm glad I didn't! Hubs found this place online somewhere and we rented out a 10x12 (I think) enough to fit furniture from a small 2 bedroom apartment. Our storage locker was clean, near an entrance, and air conditioned. We paid $106 total per month...$99 special plus taxes. They'll even let you use their haul truck for FREE! I wish I would have known that before I rented a uhaul! :( Everyone that I encountered their was super friendly and attentive to anything we needed! After we checked out of our locker, they let us keep our uhaul inside the gates when we went to lunch feed my brother for helping us load the truck before we made our big move to Las Vegas...awful nice of them considering We took a 2 hr lunch and they could have told me I have park outside of the storage area....if you want a fair review here it is! There office area is fancy the storage areas are clean and ac'd, they have deals on lockers, you can use their truck, it's rodent and pest free, service is great and it's decently priced! I'd choose this place before any Public Storage facility! (^_^) read more
