This was our first time for us at Bourbon & Bones so hoping for a good experience, we didn't wait long to be seated and immediately our drink order was taken . It wasn't long and our dinner order was taken. We ordered several items and decided to share each so we could try a little of everything, our choices were perfect and everything was good. We all had a good time and would say the staff was very helpful and friendly with any questions we had, the Ambiance was very nice, the decor was nicely done as well, I will put this as one of my top 3 to go to for a nice evening out. Thanks Bourbon & Bones for a good evening out with friends.

Disappointing Anniversary Dinner - Expected More for the Price…read more My wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary here after getting recommendations from friends who spoke highly of the place. Since we're in the Gilbert area, we loved the idea of a great steakhouse without the drive to Scottsdale. We went in with high expectations -- we're no strangers to special occasion dining, so we knew what we were hoping for. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in almost every way. The ambience and service felt more like a polished chain restaurant than the upscale dining experience the prices suggest. For a $300-$400 dinner for two, you expect a certain level of attentiveness and flow -- and we just didn't get it. After our appetizers, we noticed we never received the pretzel bread everyone raves about. When I asked our waiter, he said they had just finished baking a fresh batch. When it arrived, it was cold -- so that clearly wasn't the case. We also had to flag our waiter down to take our entrée order, which shouldn't happen at this price point. My steak was fine -- just fine. My wife's fish was the same. Nothing memorable, nothing that made us feel like the bill was justified. By the end of the meal we were both ready to leave. Our waiter did offer a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which was a nice gesture, but we were already checked out mentally and chose to go somewhere else to finish the evening on a better note. If you're in the East Valley looking for a truly special dinner, I'd honestly just make the drive to Mastro's Oceans Club or Steak 44.

We usually come here for birthdays due to their loyalty deal and it's totally worth it. We always order steak and we've tried a few of them. However this time around we chose very similar steaks to keep the price the same and use the deal. Both New York Strip. The baked potato is so good! I highly recommend this and make sure to say yes to the bread before dinner. The hosts and servers are very well trained, respectful and attentive. No complaints from me. Also the interior and decor is classy but not over the top or old and gothic for a steakhouse. Also tables are isolated enough so it's not super loud and pretty good privacy between other groups The only recommendations I can make is to ask the lady at the table next to us with the pungent perfume to take it easy jk! You can tell the management cares and are very involved. It's nice to go a restaurant that's properly and well managed. It's just an easy and low stress experience.

I got the peppercorn steak with a baked potato. The kiddos got their kids meal. One with cheesy pasta as they call it but it's really just Mac and cheese. My other son got chicken tenders. Their kids meal is a great deal as they get a veggie tray which has carrots, celery and crackers, their choice of an entree, a drink, and even ice cream! I wish I could just come and order a kids meal. The best part is the ciabatta bread that comes to your table before the meal arrives. If used to be sourdough but unfortunately they changed it. It's still good bread though! Service was on point and food came out fast! It's a nice restaurant and lightly dimmed inside.

Fun Country Steakhouse vibe. Service 5/5 From the seating Hostesses to Service Manager the teamwork model at TR is amazing. We were quickly seated, our server promptly greeted us and had our drinks out in no time. Tonight was Ribeyes night and we all customized. The kitchen staff jointly delivered our food and they were followed by the service manager. She made sure everyone was satisfied with the order. This was a great model to make a great dinner experience. They were not just confirming the reservation but asking which type of table we'd like, any mobility issues (as there is seating upstairs as well as the main floor) and what, if any, was the occasion. When we arrived for our 5pm reservation, we were instantly seated and met our AMAZING server Kay. She was an absolute gem. Our daughters have Celiac which Kay was incredibly attentive to. She was kind, funny and helpful. We'll definitely be sitting in her section again! The ambiance is beautiful and bright allowing the natural sunlight in. The live piano player was fantastic, calming and not too loud. The food was top notch. We've been to other steakhouses and the salt used, has always made us feel bloated and swollen walking out especially in the AZ heat. Elliot's was refreshing and none of us felt the need to hydrate after. We'll be coming back soon. Whether it's just a date night for my husband and I or an entire family celebration, Elliot's has become our go to. PS: the manager went above and beyond for us. Our daughter purchased my husband and I a gift certificate at Christmas. She didn't e-claim the certificate and we had intended to use it towards our family dinner. After calling the restaurant, the manager went through the 60 transactions of gift certificates on the date ours was purchased and applied it prior to us arriving. Service at every level was warm, welcoming and kind.

We had a pretty large party, so we expected there might be a few hiccups, but overall we had a good experience. The restaurant was clean, and they were able to accommodate our group by seating us in a booth and adding tables. All of our food came out hot and tasted good. One thing we didn't love was how the food was handed out. Instead of placing the plates in front of each person, they were passed across the table. One of the plates was extremely hot and ended up burning my friend's hand. When we mentioned it, the response was basically, "Oop, yeah, it's hot. I have a napkin, so it's not hot for me." We definitely felt like there should have been a warning before handing over a plate that hot. On the positive side, Joslyn was our server and she was very kind. She did her best to take care of our table, especially considering she was the only server handling our party of 13. She even brought out birthday shots for everyone, which was a really nice touch! Overall, I enjoy coming here. The food is good, the restaurant is clean, and there aren't a ton of places in Gilbert that offer bottomless mimosas and margaritas. I actually came back the following day and did bottomless again. That time, I sat at the bar and the bartenders were great and very attentive. It's also typically not too busy, which makes it easy to get seated pretty quickly. Despite the hiccup with the hot plate, I've had good experiences here and would come back again.

There are few times that I've gone to a restaurant to where I felt like just getting up and…read moreleaving. Last night was one of those times. And despite going here multiple times in the past couple years, last night was probably my last. Let's start from the top. Hostess: We arrive around 6pm. Sun was kind of still out, but starting to get dark. It was lovely outside so we asked to be seated outside. We told hostess that we were a party of 7. There was a party behind us who were clearly not with us (would have made us a party of 12) and they just seemed kind of confused. Seating: The weather was nice so we wanted to sit outside. It was starting to get dark and the lights on the patio were off. I get it if we were the first people out there but there was another table out there and it was getting dark. Wouldn't you notice that maybe you should turn on the lights? We were literally reading menus with the street light. We had to ask them to turn on the lights. Prior to the lighting fiasco there were all sorts of issues with the tables. One of our tables was wobbling like a top. Another table was seemingly unattached to the legs as the top flipped up like it wasn't attached to the legs. What is going on with the tables out there? Attentiveness: We got seated and it took a long time for them to come and even take a drink order. Like 5mins. Then another 5-7mins for the beer to come. Then we had to ask if they still had complimentary chips. So we didn't really have chips and beers until 15mins after being seated. And throughout the experience it was just very sparse - like you'd order something and it would come 5mins later. At one point I told the adults that if we didn't have kids then I would have just stood up and bounced. And I say this as someone who is very laid back - I'll even eat food that was improperly made because why get upset about it? But in this case, I just felt like we were invisible and had to ask for everything. Entertainment: This is nitpicking, but out of all the games on, not a single TV had the Diamondbacks on. Why? Beer: No Coors on tap, fine. Got an Ultra. Beers take 5mins to come out. Come out in mugs that are basically room temperature. I don't require my mugs to have literal frost on them, but I do expect my mug to not be feeling like it is basically warm. To add to insult, the beer was also not very cold either. If either the beer or mug was frosty then I would have probably been fine because at least something was cold. I can say this... if they had served us Coors in the cans - the mountains would have NOT been blue for more than 2mins. Food: We've been going to Salt for a while (multiple years, at least) and we feel like they've been constantly changing the menu. There used to be numerous [obviously] vegetarian options but this time all those were gone. The vegetarian tried to order a simple bean burrito and was told that the only bean burrito they make is on the kids menu. OK, so make a bigger one or something? Aside from that food overall was decent. One of the adults in our party felt that the meat was skimped on. Conclusion: When we were deciding where to eat that night I suggested Salt and the other husband was all happy. Even his Mexican wife (who is picky about Mexican food) was amendable to Salt. Of all the times we've gone in the past as just my family it has been terrific - loved the chips, salsa, margarita flights, food, people watching, and atmosphere. The wife and I have done date nights here and gone with groups. And I hate to say it though, I probably will not be back again after last night's experience. And if you look at some of the more recent reviews... you'll notice multiple other people noticing a decline as well...
