    California Chicken Dinner
    Amanda D.

As always, there's never a slow moment at Texas Roadhouse. However, the wait was minimal as we used the App to be added to the waitlist. I highly recommend the app for anyone who has not tried it yet. Our waitress, Teresa, was probably one of the most unfriendly servers we have ever had at Texas Roadhouse. She was very attentive to our drinks, which was nice, but her personality really missed the mark. My hangup occurred during the ordering process... She stood at our table asking if we were ready to order, as servers normally do. Everyone was ready to order, aside from me. I said it was fine if everyone started ordering, just take my order last. Teresa appeared to be inconvenienced by my request. She went on to tell us that she will have to make all these adjustments on her device in order to take someone else's order first, because the default setting would be to start with me. I'm sorry, I don't realize it was a problem ?????? The food came out very quickly, despite the fact that it was PACKED in there. That's always a plus! I got the California Chicken (strongly recommend, this is my new go-to) house salad with thousand island & loaded mashed potatoes! It was incredible!! All in all, dinner was great, the atmosphere was typical for Texas Roadhouse, and everyone in our party enjoyed themselves as well.

11/10/25 Today was my Roadhouse Birthday Lunch, and oh what a shameless Feast! Quick shout out to my fellow Yelping friend @Beth B for sharing her week long Birthday tour of restaurant stops to utilize her Restaurant "Birthday Perks". I loved the Idea and will do this leading up to the 18th. That coupled with our Chef Kitchen remodel starting 11/10/25 , we will be eating out for a minute. Goal; 365 reviews in 365 days my first year stay tuned. Parking 5/5 Scored a great spot with only two laps-a-looking! Atmosphere 5/5 Country Western Charm done right. From music, decor.to food! Service 10/5 We were taken care off by the Resturant shift manager who assisted us in locating a Veteran we could thank and pick up their tab. Her effort working with her servers was amazing! We were introduced to a father and son and thanked him for his service to our country. Clearly moved by this gesture of respect. After a brief conversation we returned to our table. Our table service from Keegan was the best from drinks to the epic feast rollout. Our order Starters was my free birthday Onion Bloom, Fried Pickles, Two Ribeye steaks/Medium with baked Potatoes, broccoli and dinner salads, Food 6/5 Another big hit for us and huge hat-tip to Texas Roadhouse everything was spot on perfect. Veteran & Adult Son's tab covered $45.88. Our tab $195.48; yes we got carried away because we partied like rock Stars! Paying it forward my Friends-SYOY!

Employees just standing around for 30 minutes doing nothing while the place is very busy.

If you ever wonder why things are so expensive it's probably due to the overpaid people who just stand around. We waited 30 minutes for our table on a Sunday evening and these same 8 employees never moved from the counter. Just talked and laughed with each other. What a waste of money. The food was average as it usually is but it's definitely not near the top of our list of places to go because the quality has gone down while the prices have gone up.

We sat at the bar since it was a busy Friday night and the wait was shorter for bar seats. But the experience was great. Service was attentive to our needs and both food and drinks came out faster than expected. Our steaks were cooked exactly to order, the beer was cold and everything was tasty.

Just want to give a huge shout out to our server extraordinaire Grace! She was so beyond friendly! She joked with us, answered all my husbands questions, and topped off our drinks without us ever asking! And of course the place was packed and super busy! She was a rockstar!

The service was amazing. We got sit right away and our order was placed. I finally got to try the prime rib, it did nit disappoint. It was delicious. The rib eye was cool to order and it was great too. I love the fully loaded baked potatoes and the frozen sangria was the best with an extra shot of patron. Yes!!!! The bread and butter was amazing too. I love that manager came by to see how we were doing!

Phenomenal! Great spot to eat, loved it. Went with my dad and I go solo sometimes. Really enjoy it. Figured I would have to add my review. Staff at this Mesa location are great, restaurant is clean and food is as it should be.

Took my son here for his birthday. He really enjoyed it. They brought out the sawhorse for him to sit on and saying happy birthday to him. I feel that the service is always consistent as well as the food. We have never had a bad experience at this Texas Roadhouse. You can tell employee morale is great! Especially since this location is super busy. Which is why I recommend doing the call ahead option on the app. This time we had the ribeye steak and the prime rib. I love the prime rib end cut! Even though I like my steak medium rare if there's an end cut, I will opt for it every time. It's nicely coated in seasoning and has a ton of flavor! My son and my husband both got the prime rib which were cooked to their liking. If you're looking for a great side, the loaded baked potato is my favorite. We usually get the salad with their homemade Italian vinaigrette. It's hands-down, the best! I will say it is a very loud environment. My dad loves eating at Texas Roadhouse but he has hearing aids do with all it the noise is difficult for him to hear others at the table. But overall, we always have a great experience.

There was a plastic temperature pick in my son's hamburger. The manager and server were both very kind, but I feel I should've had the burger comped. They did take $8 off my $63 tab but I feel that the burger should have been free. Maybe I'm wrong.

This was my second time visiting. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because of how friendly the staff are. I'm not exactly sure why this place is always jam packed with people. The last time I went here, I ordered a 16 ounce sirloin. I asked for medium, but it was well done. Of course, they corrected it. I wasn't blown away, though. I received a gift card from Christmas, so I tried again last night. Packed, even in a Monday! I ordered a 12 ounce NY strip this time. It was the correct doneness, but the steak was very tough. I decided to go with an 11 ounce sirloin to replace it. It came out tender, but something was weird about the texture. Probably some type of marinade changed the texture. With tip, my bill was $50. Pass.

I stopped by Caldwell County BBQ for dinner on a Saturday evening. Located in Gilbert, I found…read morestreet parking right in front of the restaurant despite it being quite busy. I'll preface this review by saying I have very high standards when it comes to BBQ. I am from Houston after all. Caldwell County BBQ very much lived up to the hype. It's no surprise their reviews are so good. Ambiance (5/5): Caldwell County BBQ serves Texas-style BBQ. I felt right at home. There's a lot of Texan decor and the sort of ambiance you would expect at a BBQ joint. It's a spacious restaurant with plenty of seating outside and a decent amount of seating inside. We sat inside. One of the things they do well is keeping the A/C blasting both indoors and outdoors (while you're likely going to wait in line) along with misters. Definitely something you need in Phoenix! Service (4/5): I hate waiting in line. Though it's not unusual at popular BBQ spots, I still wish places like this would hire a couple of more people to make the line move faster (or even completely eliminate the lines). We probably waited in line for about 20 minutes. They have a water cooler along the route, but it was all out. Something the staff should check on a little more frequently. With all this being said, Caldwell County is well worth the wait. Drinks (5/5): Whenever I'm at a BBQ joint, I'm looking for sweet tea. Which they have here. Plus your standard assortment of soft drinks and alcohol, with a focus on beer. Food (5/5): BBQ joints typically have you pay by weight or by plates (one meat, two meats, three meats, etc.). Caldwell does it by the pound unless you go with a sandwich, loaded baked potato, etc. What's nice is they also have a family pack for 4 which comes with brisket, pulled pork, and your choice of ribs, sausage, or one other protein which is escaping me. Plus two large pint-size sides. We rolled with this option as it's a good deal (brisket, pulled pork, and St. Louis style ribs with corn casserole and mac and cheese). White bread, pickles, onions, and jalapenos are available free of charge. There are three BBQ sauces at each table: their classic BBQ, spicy, and AZ gold). We also added a quarter pound of the AZ burnt ends. Man, these are some quality meats. Brisket is the true test of Texas BBQ and the shining star. The brisket here isn't the best I've ever had but it's quite respectable. The sweet and spicy AZ burnt ends were delicious too. The ribs were tender and had a nice sweet glaze on them. The pulled pork was my least favorite, but still quite good. The sides are solid, though they could be a bit better. The mac and cheese was too peppery for my taste and the corn casserole was too sweet. Like pretty much all craft BBQ these days, Caldwell County BBQ isn't cheap. But the quality is there. This is the type of place that I would come back to again and again. They also have a location in Peoria though this one is the original. And I hear they don't run out of meats as other BBQ joints do (especially in Texas). That's a big plus! It's always a bummer when a BBQ joint is out of something you want. If you haven't been to Caldwell County BBQ, change that quick. Yeehaw!

Parking was a breeze, and since there were three of us (including one never-full teenager ), we went for the Mexi-Q Platter and added an extra birria taco so everyone could try one. It absolutely lived up to the hype! The surprise standout? The brisket tostada--sooooo flavorful and satisfying on every level! We also loved the sausage link, Mexi-Q twinkies (aka smoked jalapeños stuffed with brisket and cream cheese, then wrapped in bacon ), and honestly, everything we tried was a hit. For sides, we ordered Grandma's Calabacitas (a yummy squash veggie mix), roasted cream elote, and Julio's mac n' cheese (which I skipped, but the guys were big fans). We wrapped up this phenomenal meal with their GF banana pudding (they offer both GF and regular options), and it was seriously scrumptious--such a treat to have a gluten-free dessert that feels just as special! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and attentive. They double-checked that everything we ordered (minus the mac n' cheese) was gluten-free, which is always such a relief. It means so much when a place truly understands gluten and can clearly guide you on what's safe. We sat outside and soaked up the beautiful weather--it was the perfect setting for such a fun and tasty meal! An easily awarded and well deserved
