Had our entire family out to dinner last night. The service was good but the food, specifically the steaks were just okay. A lot of fat and very little seasoning. We used to eat here a lot and decided to give it a try again. For the prices charged, including the 3% credit card fee, we will not be back. 4/27/25 Back to see if service and food improved since our last visit. (Note last review). Because the Angus has leveled up their business, Reservations are highly recommended. Parking 3/5 Arrived ~5:30 pm Monday dinner service. This location is hopeless during dinner hours because of all the businesses. Customers are literally competing for parking spots. Lunch service is great during the week the exception being Friday and Saturday. Atmosphere 5/5 Warm comfortable with a blend of table and booth seating. Date night nook, yes. There is one corner booth perfect for a more intimate dining experience. Service 5/5+ Big change tonight from our last visit! Tonight our server was Megan W. From the moment she arrived to introduce herself and throughout of visit Megan's timing was perfect; from orders, tea refills and the timing of starters, salads and our entrees. She accomplished all of this as the dining room filled to capacity and her tables increased. Note to GM Roger Hippen. If the Angus added server choices during the reservation process Megan would be our pick without hesitation. Food Shrimp Cocktail 4/5 We ordered the large shrimp cocktail which were large and served with a cocktail sauce. The garnish was a bit withered which made the Angus presentation attempt a fail. Garnish should be Chef's assistant final touch with fresh garnish. This didn't affect the shrimp which were perfectly cooked and were delicious. Honey Roasted Brussels 3/5 Tonight ok but not great. Whole Brussels with a light char were overly drizzled. The use of a stronger blue cheese actually neutralized the goal of the Honey's note. A light sprinkling of fresh Feta would complement the starters ingredients. Although present, the bacon flavor was also overcome by the blue cheese. Salads 5/5 Fresh, crispy vegetables with a nicely whipped vinaigrette, delicious. Entrees 5/5 I ordered two 16os Ribeyes and learned they were out. Megan quickly save the evening by recommend their Large Tomahawk dinner for two. Came with choice of four sides and the Steak to share. We picked sides of Baked potatoes, green beans and our Brussels were and upgraded side we enjoyed an our starter. Tomahawk 5/5++ The bone in Tomahawk is cooked to order and served brisket sliced alongside of its bone. Were had it cooked medium for maximum flavor. The presentation was leveled up from what you expect from an Angus but clearly they are boldly dipping in to the premium stake house market with this offering. Black Angus is just not as good as it used to be. Also a credit card fee! Come on now, you charge way too much for your food to be adding that fee onto your customers. All items are over priced for the quality of food. Made reservations for 6pm. Our table was ready at 6pm. Took a few minutes and me asking a 2nd time to get a kids menu. They had to print new ones. The Sweet Blackberry Tea was very very good. We ordered a lot of food and it was all just ok. No seasoning on the steaks. Baked potatoes did not have the good crisp skin that I remember them having. Seemed like a microwaved potatoe instead of baked. $36 for 2 tiny steak medallions and 4 shrimp wagon wheel sampler is not worth $21. Wagu beef dumplings were nothing special. I get better ones from the grocery store in the frozen isle. Service was ok but we kept having to ask for refills of our drinks. Yes they were busy but there was lots of wait staff working. Total before tip and the credit card fee was $307.00 I will not be going back. Texas Roadhouse has better food and service. read more

My wife and I had dinner here last night and, as usual, the restaurant delivered consistent quality in both food and service. They offer some very good value deals, which make it an attractive dining option. The restaurant is often frequented by seniors, creating a calm and quiet environment that we appreciate. While the décor feels a bit dated, the quality of the food and the attentive service more than make up for it. We typically order the Campfire Feast, which includes an appetizer, two entrées with two sides each, and a dessert, an excellent value. The steaks are solid, the sides are well prepared, and the salads are fresh with a wide selection of dressings to choose from. Recently, I've added some meat back in to my diet and decided to treat myself to a meal via ubereats. It was pricey, but I was hoping for quality and great service via ubereats. Ubereats delivered early and was friendly. The prime rib and sides didn't disappoint, but the shrimp cocktail for $19.19 was only six small shrimp and they were grey & floppy at the tail. Pretty disappointed as that's what I ate first, but the baked Brie with the prime rib meal was better. I definitely won't order a shrimp cocktail from here again, and I'll probably try another steakhouse the next time I eat red meat. read more

Great food and great service. Steak and sides were plated wonderfully and surpassed my expectations.

The server let multiple tables know that there was a 15% discount for military; they did not let us know and when we mentioned our party also included a veteran, the server said "it's too late." It isn't hard to refund a percentage. What was really disappointing is the table behind us complained about their food multiple times and they had part of their meal comped and they got the 15% discount (the server remembered to ask them). I guess the lesson learned is that if you're a polite customer who doesn't complain you get dismissed. If you're rude complaining customers you get doted on. read more

Since Hubby and I are both veterans and they were serving a free Veterans Day steak meal, we decided to come here. If you've ever been debunking is, you know that it's very "cowboy out on the range" decor. It's definitely more refined than some of the peanuts on the floor kind of steakhouses. We had a reservation in were seated in a tall round booth right away. Our server was so cheerful and helpful, and our food came out very, very quickly. First they bring out a loaf of super yummy bread with butter. I'm not sure what kind it is, especially since I'm not much of a bread person, but it's dark and has oats on the outside. I love it. We both got the 6 oz sirloin with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Everything was delicious and our steaks or cooked just as we like them, medium rare for him, and rare for me. I really like the broccoli here - - it's not simply steamed, It tastes as though there's garlic in the seasoning. We've always had a good meal at Black Angus. It's very consistent and always familiar even when you're away from home. We also really appreciate that they offer such a great benefit to veterans every Veterans Day. read more

Went there for a good steak w the kiddo. Had Adam as our server - he's a pro. Ordered ribeyes, came out as ordered - flavorful to say the least. Sprouts and wedge salad were fantastic. Not only am I inconvenienced (and in danger being a diabetic) but you have inconvenienced my Uber driver (losing money). We made reservations and arrived 10 minutes early. We got seated quickly but when we got to the table it wasn't ready. Rather than seat us at an open booth we got stuffed into a tight location involving moving the table and chairs while we stood there. Set a bad tone to start. Normally this place starts by bringing out hot bread and butter. Not this time. We finished our salads before the bread came out. Other tables around us got bread immediately. Usually the servers offer fresh cracked pepper with the salad. Not our server. The entrees were fine. We ate, then paid and left. I realize it was Mother's day and they were busy but there were multiple open tables during half of our meal. Most of the servers there are very professional and attentive. Not sure about how to present this review. Ive had great experiences, and others where I should've eaten at a dumpster. They went through COVID, but it is either feast or famine. Today, went and ordered a salad and soup. Had a beer, but it took the server over 20 minutes to make a round trip. Waited more that 45 minutes for a meal, and still nothing while the other 6 folks in the restaurant got served drinks and meals. When we left, four other people were waiting to even get a table. Wife and I went and were told wait for a table would be 20 to 25 minutes. After 45 minutes we were finally seated at a small booth right outside the kitchen. We thought the a/c was on because there was a very cold draft, hard enough blow napkins off of the table. Then we realized it was a hole in the ceiling. Our waitress and I'm sure anyone else working there could see we were cold and miserable but no one seemed to want to acknowledge it. I told our waitress there was a hole in the ceiling and her response was they couldn't do anything about it because they were waiting for insurance. I said your manager should know better. Shame on management there for seating customers in an area that should just be closed off. The temp outside was low 50s and that's about what the temp at our table was. Decided to come here for my birthday since I have not eaten at this franchise in over 10+ years and was craving prime rib and I knew that I was never disappointed in the past. I was immediately greeted and seated by a nice, young lady. Once seated, my waitress (Judy) immediately greeted me and took my drink order. As she delivered my drink, she also offered to take my order. I chose to start with the calamari then for my main coarse, did the 12oz Prime rib dinner with my sides as wedge salad (premium) and the baked potato. The meal still comes with their delicious warm bread, but the butter clearly had been sitting outside (of refrigeration), that was a big turn off for me (personal preference and didn't hold it against them since I know there many schools of thought on it). Everything else was seasoned well and the prime rib was exactly the way I like it, rare. The place is clean and the service was quick but not rushed and Judy was a delight. read more

We have been here several times and it seems like it's getting worse. The service was poor - dinner was gone before she reappeared and she never checked back for a refill. Sides were cold we told her and she did bring a free cookie. But waited a long time for that and even longer to get the bill. We won't be back anytime soon. read more

Our visit, for two, was1 hour and 50 minutes; 10 minutes in the lobby and 1 hour 40 minutes in our booth. So much waiting between each part; water, complimentary bread, appetizer, beverages, salad and main course (that arrived 1 hour 10 minutes in. We sat down knowing what we planned to order. None of the wait was on our end. Our server continuously said, "If I can be transparent", then would tell us about forgetting things for other people earlier too (forgot to put our appetizer in), how he must be sweating his intelligence out, how he must be dehydrated (telling other tables around us the same), how he'd be alright and his manager told him he needs to slow down. Admittedly, he forgot to bring our meals out once they were ready. He repeatedly thanked us for our patience, and ot truly used more than we had. We had our card out and ready so we could move things along. Once he came back he told us he'd just take it if we trusted him, tossed it in his shirt pocket and was gone for 10 minutes, serving people in between. The complimentary bread was delish! The Three Cheese Garlic Bread was superb; the best we've had. Our chicken was warm, ribs room temp and mashed potatoes cool. Cesar salad great, prime rib room temp and far to red for medium well and baked potato decent, except for the "Butter, sour cream, no chives" ended up being butter, horseradish and chives. A baked potato covered in Horseradish was not my favorite and not easily removed. We did not send anything back for correction or exchange, as that was happening at tables on three sides of us and taking an incredibly long time, so not worth it. BA recently changed their menu...new appetizer dumplings have not been available the times we have come in. They also removed the bone in ribeye steak and no longer have a cowboy cut prime rib (24 ounces) and cap you at 16 ounces...they also removed the ability to pay extra to add ounces...which was a policy they had for a long time and it was even communicated to me it was an option when they first changed their menu. We travelled further for the items they discontinued...so now we will more than likely not eat there anymore as we can get close to those options at the Keg...which is closer even if I have to pay a little more. Portion sizes on salads has also been affected by shrink-flation...as wedges appear to be half of the sizes and regular salad is very small on the plate. Overall food was bland tonight... read more

My family had the absolute worst food we have ever had at any restaurant that we can remember. The Prime Rib was raw and had to be sent back to cook some more. The Rib Eye Steaks were about 1/4 inch thick and had a lot of fat and gristle. Both Rib Eye and Prime Rib were tasteless. The meat was very tough and hard to cut and none of us could eat most of our meal. I don't know what has happened to this place, but I will not be taking any guests there in the future. read more

We eat at Black Angus when we have a special event or celebration. Food has always been good and prices are reasonable based on the type of restaurant and quality. Tonight our server was Ashley!!! It's been years since I have eaten at Black Angus. My partner and I got out of a meeting late and most places were closed, saw the sign still lit so we popped in to see if they were still serving. The manager greeted us and sat us promptly. Melisa (Walker) introduced herself as our server and after explaining the menu to us, took our order. We choose the meal for two and of course requested dessert first (life's to short to miss the good stuff) One minor problem with the food was addressed and corrected immediately. We were looking for a steak house for a birthday and chose the Black Angus. Very happy we did. The food was exceptional. My steak was cooked to perfection, the roasted veggies were amazing and with the warm bread the overall meal was awesome. It started off with one the best Caesar salads I have had.
