My husband refuses to clean the house, I go to Chilis and look at the beautiful atmosphere and clean floors. My kids won't talk to me, I talk to the chilis employees! Y'all are lovely. Let me start by saying I haven't stepped foot in a Chili's in over a decade. Maybe two...my expectations were pretty low but those mozzarella sticks are everywhere on social media and we decided to give it a go. The service was excellent. That's where the 3 stars came from. The mozzarella sticks were good, but they are huge! We ordered 6 Nashville hot and 6 plain(for a party of 7) and took 5 of them home. The marinara was decent(balanced sweet and savory). The ranch was "good ranch". The fajitas did not come out sizzling(that's all I remember about Chili's from the days of yore), the veggies were limp and overcooked, shrimp was over seasoned and over cooked, and the steak was chewy and grey(also overcooked). The side salad was subpar, blue cheese dressing was mediocre. The ribs were not 'fall off the bone' and the barbecue sauce was basically a store bought equivalent. The burger was nothing special. The Arnold Palmer's were good. All in all it was not a good experience and came with a hefty price tag for what we received. There are so many options in that plaza alone that are far better quality and execution with more reasonable price tags. We go out and explore food spots(not usually chains) once a week and this one will not be added to our list of go-to's. Every single one of us left with tummy aches and sadness. I used to love this location, but my recent lunch visit was incredibly disappointing. The restaurant was nearly empty with two servers on duty, so I expected a smooth experience, but the service from our server, Dwight, was poor from start to finish. I was excited to try the new Southwest Chicken Bacon Ranch Nachos. According to the menu, they should include grilled chicken, shredded cheese, Southwestern Queso, bacon, ranch, and pico. What I received was a plate of mostly dry chips topped with 90% bacon bits, a tiny portion of chicken, and a drizzle of ranch. There was no queso or shredded cheese in sight. When I pointed this out, Dwight claimed the queso was there but offered a side of it anyway. When the side arrived, it was a dark yellow cheese that clearly wasn't on the original plate--it was obvious he wasn't being truthful. After he caught an attitude, I sent the nachos back for the Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas. I waited another 10-15 minutes for the new meal, and after it was delivered, Dwight never returned. He spent the rest of the shift walking the long way around the restaurant to avoid our table, even though we were right by the kitchen. I never got a refill or a check-in. A great location!!! You can literally do everything from having tires put on, to grocery shopping and making a Target run, in this vicinity. Love it! We came here for lunch and had a very nice waitress who was also catering! The food was OK but, I regret getting what I ordered for myself which was the Cajun pasta, because it was hella dry. Very disappointed !!! My lil Cousin ordered the same meal but she wanted broccoli as shown in the photo on the menu and they upcharged $3.00 for the broccoli. I too wanted the photo menu item and was confused as to why our meals looked different. Once we seen the check we quickly figured that out! The kids meals were filling for my other Lil Cousin which came with 2 sliders and an apple sauce. Cute! Recommendation: I recommend that Chilli's put a code on the games at the table computer so that, children can't just pick it up and start playing it... who knew that they cost $2.99 per game played? I was nonchalant at first thinking, oh nice, they give the kiddies a game to play while they wait for their food, until my other Lil minor cousin told me that the games came with a price! I had no clue, as it's not often, that I'm out with kids! ‍ The waitress had management to remove the charge after I asked, why wouldn't they have it locked so that broke minor children don't take it upon themselves to play it! I'd eat here again but, I'm never getting pasta from here...I'll leave that up to Olive Garden. Shout out to the youthful human who brung out the chips and salsa before I could even order them. Drinks stayed filled... Olivia amazing... Your Main go to for Chili's fajitas missed the mark on so many levels. you don't get guacamole, steaks should have just come from dollar tree (ouch). Steak was hard to chew, missed the flavor mark, texture and cooked unevenly. The one thing you are know for you have destroyed, you need to reconsider your meat source. Shrimp were over cooked (yellow in the picture), veggies like mush in your mouth. Olivia amazing... BOH cleanliness was an issue from where we were sitting there was trash and food on the floor. At one point one of the female servers walked to the BOH, Trash dropped to the ground and there is stayed with the rest of the trash on the floor for another 20 minuets...... This is going to sound funny, but we came here due to a tiktok. My date saw a tiktok of the pillowy soft cheese "sticks" with different flavors on them, and couldn't stop thinking about them. I came in around 9:20 pm, I literally thought I walked into the wrong place. I didn't realize they modernized the place. I haven't been to a chilis in over ten years. It looked great. Our server was super nice and friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered the cheese sticks with two different flavors to start us off. Then I ordered the triple dipper or something, southwestern egg rolls, chicken tenders and sliders. Then my date ordered some BBQ sampler of sorts. The one thing we came here for was the biggest disappointment of the night. The cheese wasn't melted, due to not being in the fryer long enough. It was luke warm, rubbery but kind of crumbly, it just killed all of our hopes and dreams of a foot long cheese pull. It was depressing. The my food came out after, egg rolls were barely warm, chicken tenders were good, sliders were barely warm and lacked in every department possible. The BBQ platter he liked and said it was edible. We ended up taking the food home still since paid for it. Now the topping on the cake...we went to pay on their electric machine. Their percentages were not correct. They were over charging patrons. He walked right up and cracked a couple jokes with us, overall had very amazing service and was an amazing person. Chili's is just not what they used to be. The quality of food and service is no longer a high standard. When we arrived, I checked in for a party of six plus a highchair. I was told it would take about 15-20 minutes. After a half hour they started to tell us it would be any minute, they are just clearing the table. Then after another 15 minutes, I asked them why it was taking so long to just clear a table knowing there were no tables available. There were a lot of confusion and couldn't answer my question. We were finally seated, and sat there for a while before our server showed up to take our drink order. Our major complaints regarding the food. The queso dip and the potato soup were served cold. The rest of the food was alright, nothing to brag about. Chili's is a restaurant I visited many times years ago. Back then, their food was one of the best in the industry. I just HAD to write another amazing review! We decided to stop into Chilis again since it was so delicious the first time we came to this location. Today knocked it out of the park again! We were debating between Texas and Chilis because we were craving steak. We choose Chilis and I am so happy we did! We were seated immediately and parking was very easy for us to grab today in the shopping center. Our sever/bartender took our order very quickly and he checked in often to make sure we did not need anything. The steak was so juicy; flavorful and cooked perfect! They even made sure to ask us to cut into our steak to make sure it's perfect. The shrimp is so flavorful and cooked perfectly! I loveeeee the fajitas here! The rice is also super flavorful. Honestly; everything we have had here is so delicious and flavorful! I cannot wait to come back!! The restaurant is super clean and well maintained with nice music in the background. Everything was fine until I paid the bill on the electronic tabletop keypad. BEWARE When your total comes up it gives a quick option to pick a 20% tip. However, it was actually $1.62 MORE than 20%. I suggest you do a manual tip option if you don't want to get snickered into paying more than you agreed to. I can totally see this turning into a class action lawsuit commercial in another year or so. "If you ate at Chilis between this date and that date you may be compensated". It's NOT about the 1.62. Chilis has started to lose our loyalty the last few years and this location might change that. This location is great! The service was probably the best we have ever had a chilis. The food was good and it's clean! The servers even gave our kids stickers as we were leaving and it made them smile. It's the little things. Wow!! The new Gilbert AZ location on Power Rd and Ray is the new location to eat and drink at. I had eaten at three other locations and all of them were below three star reviews due to many reasons from poor customer service to just not getting our order for food put in. My boyfriend talked me into trying the new location over near our old home in Gilbert and now I'm sorry that we moved because everything from the hostess to the kitchen staff experience is definitely 5 stars. My disappointment from start was that the shrimp tacos were taken off their menu being a creature of habit that was my go to meal when eating at Chili's. Our nice waitress had suggested shrimp fajitas but I just wasn't feeling it. So after seeing the Southwest chicken salad she mentioned that I could substitute the chicken for shrimp I'm just not a chicken kind of girl but her suggestion payed off I loved it everything in this yummy salad from the Cajun bite size pieces of shrimp to the fresh slices of avocado it was a really good salad. My boyfriend's go to steak and chicken fajitas I guess is one of their best selling dishes. Both the steak and chicken were grilled to perfection and the rice for once was cooked evenly. This comes with warm tortillas and beans that are so welcoming on a cold winter day like today. My current obsession is the boneless Nashville hot wings they are so good they do have a bit of spice but they are so flavorful. *Unbelievable** May 2, 2025 Friday at 4:00PM. | came in with my friends for a casual Friday dinner. ***Does server know they are supposed to be the face of the restaurant they are working at?*** We were seated at the left side of the restaurant and we were greeted by this lady who were rude and disrespectful to my friends. She did not introduce herself with her name, just "welcome to chili's"... First impression from her was like we just interrupted her day. She has black hair average height about 5"4' and looks like she just finished 10 orders of Rancher Burgers with extra 8oz ranch on the side. We ordered our drinks and appetizers which was just "chips and salsas" it took them 20 minutes to run the appetizer "chips and salsa" which is 70% faults on "Food Runners" and our server would care less about the fact we haven't received our appetizers or needs refills. My friends have to GET HER ATTENTION to get refills. After we order our entrées, it took another 60 minutes until our entrées arrived... And when I was planning to ask her for utensils and napkins because she didn't give us from the beginning, and she disrespectfully respond "what do you want."
