Bought a trailer from them. I was no less than ecstatic with my purchase. Never thought I'd have an airstream. Then the problems started. I had warranty issues that they couldn't get me into fix within 6 months of buying the trailer. This dealer also argued with me that it wasn't their responsibility. I had to call corporate in Ohio, which was helpful. They assured me they would take care of warranty issues and allowed me to bring my trailer to a different dealer. Luckily, lazy days in Tucson was able to get me in and fix a couple things for me. Now that shops service was efficient, communicable, and did a great job. I recently brought it back here, because I wanted to punish myself. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service department was extremely difficult to get ahold of. They lacked professional communication skills.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is my fault for thinking my experience would be different this time. Employee said that the Tyron bands in my tire do not have a specific torque spec. However, on Tyron bands website, they do have a specific set torque spec. 209 dollars an hour shop rate, and their knowledge of their trade comes short of proficient. Salesmen told me they have a high turnover rate of employees in service. This explains the poor quality of service. I do not regret buying my airstream. I do wish I purchased it from a more reputable dealer. They're are airstream dealers with A+ rating from BBB. So, don't just take my word for this company being less than trustworthy. 1 Star - Great Sales, Horrible Service [[HIGHLIGHT]]We purchased a Thor Motorhome here and had an excellent experience with the sales team. Everyone was friendly and helpful, even though we weren't buying an Airstream.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As first-time motorhome buyers, we also purchased the extended warranty. The service department was a completely different experience. During the same service visit, we brought the motorhome in for generator and refrigerator/battery drain issues. The generator was leaking gas, running too rich, and had starting problems, yet we were told it was not covered under warranty. After getting it home, I fixed it myself for $750 by replacing the carburetor. I later discovered an aftermarket Amazon carburetor had been installed originally, a known cause of these problems. Research confirmed these generators require OEM carburetors to run properly. The refrigerator issue was dismissed as "normal," even though it ran all the time constantly drained the batteries. Instead of diagnosing the problem, I was pushed toward a $3,500 solar/lithium upgrade, they even went as far as to have Saul the solar "expect" tell me to add solar and replace my fridge with a 12vdc just like he has in his Airstream that he tows with his F250. After doing my own research, I found the real issues: the temperature switch needed replacement, and they had installed the wrong batteries -- two 12Vdc 80Ah batteries wired in series instead of the correct setup of two 6Vdc batteries wired in parallel providing 240Ah. I replace the batteries myself at a cost of $300. They kept our motorhome for three months and charged nearly $900 in diagnostics just to say nothing was wrong and it wasn't covered under the extended warranty, they say they charge $205 dollar per hour of diagnostic, but really, they bill $205 per item even though one tech looked at everything. Warranty was cancelled and will no longer be going to Airstream for service. Sales were great. Service should be avoided at all costs. I would not recommend this service department. read more

The base camp does not handle off pavement well. I have had multiple issues due to rattling the trailer. Water leaks are the latest. Air conditioning unit guard not staying on. Faucet always loosens. Doors don't stay shut and then need adjustment. The clamps on the stove break. You pay for this "quality "and it is really frustrating when you spend time on your vacation fixing these issues. The trailer has a two inch lift and off road tires, but it can't handle washboard roads. Design it right. Or at least fix it better. read more

We are traveling in our Flying Cloud (FC) from Oregon through California and mostly Arizona following the sun having fun hiking, mountain biking and taking in local cultures, events and cuisine. Been a colder and wetter AZ! We've needed to make a few repairs. Eva, Parts Manager, was very responive by email, text and phone. Eva goes and extra mile providing part drawings and technical information to assist repairs. Parts in stock as well! In over ten years dealing with Oregon and some California Airstream service centers - I have never experienced such top notch service. Kudos Eva! Best in class service! Picking up parts I also noticed the super clean and huge showroom of Airstream trailers and vans. It doesn't cost to look if you may be considering experiencing the natural world or lush Sonoran desert by camping. When I choose Airstream I looked at everything in the market - then, Airstream choose me. Nothing comparable as traveling in a well built and safe Airstream - living the dream pulling the rig over 55,000 miles down the road to date! This Airstream location is newer as of the last 2 years since they failed epically at their Scottsdale location and nothing has changed since other than their address. Admittedly, they replaced multiple employees with new Management, however, some of the lazy ones still survived somehow as the new Manager is gone now too but they all are still not helpful. We are actually selling our Airstream since we hate dealing with the people at the only Airstream in the Phx metropolitan area; Super disappointing! We've called about products and driven 30 min to get there to buy something and they don't have it but when they go to check, someone else comes back and than disappears...no one returns...it's a joke! I've been charged more than double after being quoted on work I had done and had to get with the Manager to clear it up and even the person I dealt with agreed that the hours charged were way more than she originally quoted me. For a product that is so expensive (and very over-rated) you'd expect their customer service to be exceptional and it's not! Spend all you want on an Airstream, but they can't fix it. We use our 2010 airstream every week, and have for the last decade. It has been fantastic. One of the hubs snapped and did a significant amount of body damage. We contacted and chose We Are Airstream to repair the damage, since it was going in we also wanted the axles and shocks service and a 2 inch lift installed. Workmanship: So we'll start with a review of the body work. It's totally fine in the exterior. However they left bare plywood in one of the storage cabinets instead of patching it with linoleum to, at least, give it some water resistance. I think, when you charge $200 per hour for labor a company should do the job right. Also, they didn't sweep up after themselves. So 1- star here. The axles and shocks weren't serviced, nor was the lift kit installed. So 0 stars there. Timing; they estimated about a month. It took 3 months. I get the dealing with insurance and shortages, but that's a joke. Many people buy these as a liquid asset. They're easy to sell if you need to and, as long as you're not getting fleeced by current prices, you won't lose too much money. However, you can't sell it if it's in the shop not being worked on, with mediocre workmanship. They manager pointed out they had 54+ units they're working on, so clearly they're over loaded and the quality is suffering. Also, they clearly don't have time to do all the work, since a good majority didn't happen. Communication: Service advisors will not pick up your call. They'll call you back the next day, unless there's a weekend, or a holiday; in which case it'll be next week. Emails will be quickly looked over, but not well read. It's just words without any action taken. Also, after the service person said it was completed by asked about the lift and axle service to which he replied all the work was done. Accountability: There is none, talked to the manager who said they didn't know anything. Showed him emails; he asked for more. I'm sure they won't do anything. Conclusion. Before you buy "the dream" think about it. Yes they're beautiful, yes they used to be well made, but what happens when something goes wrong? Accidents happen. Who's going to fix it and be proud of their work? Not this dealership. Prediction. With the advent of the EV the demise of the travel trailer is inevitable. Even if you exclude storage fees, it's cheaper to stay in the Marriott and you can leave the maintenance to someone else. read more

I am so frustrated with this place!!! Their service and attention to detail is horrible. They never answer the phone or call you back. They way over promise and under deliver on services. When we got our airstream back after 3 weeks of having it in for "service" the trailer was dirty, had a dead battery and no documentation that any work had been done. The time before this when we had it in for service it came back with a broken inverter and a broken fridge door. Go into a visit here with low expectations. read more

This is the second airstream we have bought from Airstream Scottsdale. Brian Knox was our sales man and was fantastic. They gave us a very fair trade and excellent price on the new unit. And we didn't have to spend all day haggling for a good deal, which we greatly appreciated. We also worked with Ken, Jackie, and Steven Clark in finance. I think we made about 20 trips to the showroom waiting as patiently as we could for ours to arrive. They were always friendly and helpful with questions we had. I really appreciated that when we went to close, Steven in finance told us about available after market options, but was not pushy at all. We didn't add any after market products, but are still considering adding CilaJet protectant. I'm still researching it. As Side Note about our purchase.....We actually tried to buy our trailer at airstream Las Vegas because they had one in stock right when the 2019 models released (and Scottsdale was sold out). We emailed back and forth several times with Las Vegas and even drove up there. But when we arrived the sales man in Las Vegas literally blew us off and told us we would be better off buying from Scottsdale, this after we drove 5 hours to Las Vegas. Yes I was miffed that Las Vegas tried to bait and switch us. Well long story short we went back to Scottsdale, and so so glad we did. We ordered a classic 33 twin. It was a 3 month wait, but we got exactly what we wanted (custom color combo) from a dealer that is extremely responsive and treats customers right. When we picked it up they spend several hours going over everything - I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman who helped us. He was excellent and didn't act rushed or inconvenienced at all spending several hours with us showing us all the systems. Then Mr Pino spent a bunch of time helping me get our hitch dialed in. We chatted about a bunch of airstream stuff, it was obvious to me that he is extremely knowledgeable and experienced with airstreams. I completely trust he will be able to take care of any issue or need we have. When/If we get another airstream in the future we won't mess around looking at other dealers. I'll make a bee line straight back to scottsdale. I couldn't be happier with their entire crew. read more

I will never go here for service, and I recommend you also avoid Airstream of Scottsdale. This dealer, like the Airstream factory in Ohio, is great at selling you a new product, and they may be good at warranty service, but do not go here if you need non-warranty repair. I was re-scheduled three times after showing up at the agreed-upon times. When they finally got me in, I was able to get half of the work done, which they said would take four hours. They did half of the repairs because they said they got too busy, but they charged me for the entire four hours. They also doubled the cost of the replacement product at checkout. I disagreed with their service coordinator on these two issues, but I got nowhere. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and got the money back that I was over-charged. If the credit card company was not able to resolve this, I was going to take them to court. Their excuses for over-charging were lame. I asked why they quoted me $198.00 for the replacement product, but charged me $420.00 when printing the invoice, the service guy simply said "That's how the system priced it and I can't do anything about it". I have no problem paying people for work done. I won't pay for work not done. Avoid this place. read more

Beware! The service department does very poor work. I have spent thousands of dollars on my Airstream on electrical problems, only to have to spend more money somewhere else to repair We Are Airstream's work which was done wrong. Their technicians are very poorly trained. If you leave your Airstream at WAA, you may not get it back for MONTHS. I have actually shown up to pick up my Airstream based on them telling me that the work was completed only to find that the parts had not even been ordered. Their poor service reputation is infamous throughout the Airstream community. Complaints have been made to the BBB, and to Airstream corporate. Both are very aware of the problems with their service department. Avoid this dealership at all costs. read more
