Every single job has been done professionally, efficiently, and with great attention to detail. I've never had anything less than a 5-star experience. Since I've decided to retire my "Miss Independent" hat over the last several years, I'm usually always in need of getting something done correctly for my home. My pest control guy suggested I get my front door resealed since tiny bugs are still coming through the cracks (I mean, I don't blame them, it's hell out there during the summer months here in Arizona). He started making up wild stories about scams, and how I contacted him a year ago and he declined my job already...?? Five Stars isn't nearly enough! Robert came out quickly, assessed the issues correctly and was able to correct the various problems of SIX badly installed doors both interior and exterior that the original contractor did not do right. He rehung our entry way lamp which was also done incorrectly by another contractor And he even helped with hanging some of our artwork. We had him back out to our place to replace a rotting shed door and door frame as well. He was so intent on completing our job on time and correctly that he was working in the rain for a time as he finished with the installation. His attention to detail, genuine desire to do a job right the first time no matter what, his friendly demeanor and professionalism all recommend VERY highly indeed for whatever job you might have. But I will also say that I personally would recommend him to anyone that asked me for a handyman, and plan too. Robert helped with replacing a broken door, frame and jamb for our storage. He was transparent and kept up with communications before the project started and was prompted in getting work done. He performed quality work. His rate was straight forward, and went the extra mile to go to the store to pick up any supplies he needed with no extra charge, he even made multiple trips because a few things came up as the project was being worked that we didn't anticipate. He will even drive you to the store to help you pick out your supplies, or you can tell him his preferences and he'll pick them up and give you a receipt for reimbursement after. I talked to a few different handyman/contractor on Yelp before going with Toolman Taylor, simply because he seem to be more personable instead of just someone sending out generic responses to your questions.
