Outstanding. Absolutely outstanding. Ethical, personable and genuinely interested in our…read moresatisfaction. True professionals with good hearts. They rebuilt our flood damaged home and performed many remodeling upgrades at the same time. They offered sensible solutions and worked around our busy schedules. Calls were returned promptly and questions answered always. All of their subcontractors were people they had worked with for many years and were clean-cut, articulate craftsmen. They cleaned up after every days work and kept us up to date on progress. When we made changes along the way, they took it in stride and offered options to best achieve our goals. Our home was built in 1959 and had unique lath and plaster drywall. The materials are no longer available, but in order to retain the original quality of the home, they found a method that was similar enough to look the same and have the same sound when I did the "knock test". They did many extras, like painting the front sidewalk-"it just didn't look right all chipped up" and made a new side gate as well- at no added charge- because it was the right thing to do. They understood what we were trying to do- bring the house back to original quality and remodel it for sale. To give you an idea of what kind of guys thy are, on the weekends, they volunteer at Habitat for Humanity and use their skills to built homes for the disadvantaged in the Valley. Good souls. Jeff navigated us through a maze of options to get our electric upgraded without kicking us into a higher permit level that would have resulted in us having to lower windows for egress- at an estimated $26k. Instead, they offered legal, ethical alternatives that got the goals achieved within our budget. They know the ins and outs of the business and use it to YOUR advantage. True professionals. I'm an engineer, so I'm a detail person by nature, and BHB left no details missed. Their quality is top notch as well, and they came in below our insurance estimate. I highly recommend them for jobs big and small. Good people.

Hired Golden Bear to remodel master bath and second bathroom in March 2020. I gave it 5 stars so…read moreyou can read about my experience and who this guy really is. You decide. Mike and his partner did all the tile work, plumbing, electrical and some touchup painting themselves, no subcontractors - with the exception of the glass shower wall/doors, which everyone subcontracts. Overall, I'm pleased with the outcome. They were very easy to work with, which is why I hired them. On several occasions Michael saved me from my bad ideas. But there were issues around the finishing details. I had to go over the work and point out with stick notes many finishing details like at the base of the cabinets, grout cleanup in corners and rough finishing edges. Overall in the end the master bath came out great. But in the second bath the amount of grout clean up issues were extensive. For some reason they decided to change the color of the grout without my consent and it looked terrible. I was told the color would change after it dries. Well the grout color did not change when it dried, the color they used what not what I selected. Michael stop taking my calls after he admitted they used the wrong color and said they would come back and fix it. I had to hire a tile company to change the color of the grout. I do recommend that Michael hire someone to do the finishing work he does not like doing. Would I hire him again or recommend him - NO.

Eric replied in no time and emailed an estimate not long after. This job involved drywall (delete a door and add a large arched opening), electrical, custom cabinets, shelves, interior/exterior paint, and a touch of flooring. Eric and his guys did an amazing job. My wife loves the closet they converted into a reading nook. We always felt comfortable with the crew in our house. They worked around our schedule and Eric was always available for a quick check-in so I knew where we were with each step. The two big standouts were the price staying the same even though he did a few extras, and Salvador nailing that 8' high 6' wide arch! We couldn't be happier and would definitely use them again.

The kitchen required removing a wall to open up the closed dark kitchen and adding an oversized bar. Eric was extremely timely and professional in getting us a comprehensive quote. He was also extremely affordable as well. He started work right away and did a phenomenal job. We gave him pictures of what we wanted for the kitchen and fireplace, and he replicated the style to a T - which most contractors can't do without a designer helping them. He also was able to design and order custom cabinets for our pantry. Eric was extremely detail oriented throughout the process, checking in with us as needed for style and safety decisions, and always updated us on cost or possible delays. He also was insanely knowledgable about every area of construction such as dry wall, plumbing, electrical, fabrication, flooring, tiling, etc. This guy really is a one man show - he can do it all. Eric did have a few subcontractors help him with the job and they were always fantastic to work with as well. He knows quality workmanship and partnership. He finished the job in a timely timeframe and our home is gorgeous and the workmanship is quality - for a great price. If you need any renovations done, Eric with E.L. Construction is the way to go. Highly recommend!

They were the first contractor to respond to our request for a quote and the only one who took the time to walk us through it in person. Julio and Yvan helped us think through the remodel, offering practical ideas and guidance on how to get the biggest quality of life improvements within our budget. We always felt like we had experienced people helping us make smart decisions rather than simply executing a list of requests. Once construction began, Julio's team did a fantastic job bringing everything together. The quality of the work and attention to detail were excellent, and the finished project turned out exactly as we had hoped. On the few occasions when something needed to be adjusted, they were extremely responsive and made sure it was completed to our satisfaction. The crew was also consistently punctual, professional, and respectful of our home (including being very accommodating of our requests regarding our pets). Another thing we really appreciated was the flexibility Clean Corners gives you when selecting materials. They provide a list of preferred suppliers, but you are free to source materials wherever you like. That allowed us to splurge on the finishes that mattered most to us while finding savings in other areas. For someone who has a clear vision of what they want but needs a team to help make it happen, that flexibility is a huge advantage. If you're looking for a contractor who is responsive, collaborative, detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in bringing your vision to life, I highly recommend Clean Corners Construction. We couldn't be happier with how our remodel turned out.
