Nam Khao and Lao sausages with Thai ice tea
    Ashley S.

Oh my God this place is amazing. The sausage was crispy yet juicy and very flavorful. The sausage came with was amazing. The nam khao salad. Just omg. I got a little spicier, but the flavor was on point and it's satisfied every craving. The staff were super helpful in the place was minimum but pretty. I really enjoyed the time. Have a nice little. I'm away from home. I'm definitely coming back. The food alone is making me give it five stars. The Thai tea was different from what I've had before, but it wasn't bad.

Tried Stix eatery and really enjoyed it! The curry was rich and flavorful with the right amount of spice, and the pad thai had that perfect balance of sweet and tangy. The egg rolls were crispy and fresh, great starter to the meal. Friendly service and clean spot -- everything came out hot and tasty. Definitely a nice mix of Thai and Viet flavors, worth coming back for! Highly recommend to try

    Garlic noodles and salmon

I wanted to try a new Thai place so my friend and I came here. We ordered: Wings - these were very flavorful Bbq mix plate - the pork was my favorite, but the beef was also cooked really well. Honorable mention to just how big the portion was! Garlic noodles - we added salmon and the chunk of salmon was gigantic. My friend liked the sauce, where-as it wasn't quite my favorite. Overall, really good food and the portions are gigantic. One note for me personally is that this feels more like a takeout place, not a place to hang out and eat.

This has to be one of best Thai food spots in the Bay Area! The food is so flavorful. The business is family owned. The menu is extensive and delicious! So much variety! We had the Garlic Fried Rice w/ beef, Drunken Noodles w/ Beef, Eggplant Chicken, and the BBQ Combo platter that comes with chicken, beef and pork. We asked for everything to be extra spicy except for the BBQ combo. It was so bomb! The service was good and fast. They kept checking in and were so sweet to our baby. Will definitely get again!

This place is a bomb. Me and my wife are very picky about Thai food and this place met our expectations way beyond. Been coming here all the time. The customer service is really good. The only thing they are missing is customers who supposed to be trying their amazing food.

Stix Eatery used to be a table-service restaurant at Willow Pass Rd, but the pandemic caused it to tranform into a quick-serve outlet at Monument Blvd. It's a smaller space now but in spite of the move, one thing remained big - the taste of their food. Crispy Drunken Noodles (Chicken) - This is also known as Pad Kee Mao in most Thai restaurant menus. Stir-fried in a savory sweet and spicy sauce, they made this classic dish stand out with the crispy wide noodles. The added texture made this an absolute winner. They put their spin on it but kept the authenticity intact. Crispy Drunken Noodles (Chicken) - It's that special that it needed another rundown. They really had me at crispy. This alone is worthy of the 5-star rating. If you live within a 35-mile radius, take the drive and you will not be disappointed. Thai BBQ Combo - Grilled pork, chicken, and tri-tip served on top of steamed broccoli with a side of sweet and spicy sauce. The marinade was excellent as this came out very tasty. Can't go wrong with garlic, cilantro, and lemongrass. The tri-tip was very tender. Cucumber Salad - Of course I got outvoted again for another meat dish, but this turned out to be a fine choice. It had sliced cucumbers and red onions topped with julienned carrots and crushed peanuts then some sweet vinaigrette dressing to complete the mix. It was very refreshing... and I got my veggies in! Red Curry (Beef) - This had plenty of vegetables also - bamboo shoots, eggplant, carrots, peas, and red bell pepper. Very aromatic and had balanced flavor - just enough heat and the coconut milk was not overpowering. Crispy Pata - Another popular Southeast Asian favorite, this deep-fried treat originated from my homeland! Crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. It was good but was not as well-seasoned as the ones I've had elsewhere. We've only scratched the surface here since we have not yet given the Laotian side some love. It's like we happen to keep on scratching the same surface because we always get the Crispy Drunken Noodles. Chances are, we'll do it again. Yes, it's that good!

How to turn a first time customer to a never returning customer. The food is simply bad. No redeeming qualities in any of the dishes at all. Check out the photo of "crab" rangoons. I mean I did not expect a real crab meat of course, but these disgusting bits of burned dough do not have anything inside expect for a 1/4 teaspoon cream cheese. The noodles are the most bland dish I have had in months. Could not even spare a splash of soy sauce and a pat of butter? In the times when small businesses fight for a paying customer, this place does not seem to care at all. Well, likewise.

My parents, partner, and I stopped in after a day's outing. The interior is plain, just simple table setups in front of the kitchen. Though it was empty, they were definitely popular bc the phone orders were ringing like crazy the entire time. Our dishes came out around 20~ mins later. We split these family-style: - VEGETARIAN EGG ROLL (your standard egg roll w/mixed veg, crisped well) - CRAB FRIED RICE (small pieces of crab but BIG crab flavor) - PAD WOON SEN (savory & sweet...! Modestly filling) - SWEET RICE WITH MANGO (is the green pandan...? Forgot to ask. Ripe mango & super chewy rice) LOVE the food but DAMN is it hot in here. Props to the staff working in this heat with no A/C all day bc this is BOILING. Next time I'll do pickup instead.

Stix is the best little Thai place in concord. Just be warned there is no public bathroom sign... the place has the best food and the best tasting food. We always get the pad se ew and it slaps.. the spicy flavors are amazing. We also always get the drunken noodle "not pictured" but it's always crispy and tasty. Our go to Thai restaurant

Love stix eatery! Comfort Thai food and no frills We come here about once every month for a large family dinner. Place is quite small so plan accordingly. I loveeee their drunken noodle - it's crispy thick noodles! I personally like their red curry as well because it has a kick. I also enjoy the volcano fish - crispy with sweet and sour sauce. Their eggplant dishes are pretty solid as well. Though their chicken dishes are a little dry but nothing like peanut sauce helps a long way.

Ordered crispy pata for pickup recently. The pork knuckle was fried to perfect crispness and delicious!

If you see Nam Khao on the menu of a Laotian/Thai restaurant, that means they know what they are doing just because it's so labor-intensive to make a salad(!) and the fermented pork has to be damn-near perfect for this salad to really shine and round out the fresh herbs and seasonings which includes lime juice, vinegar, and fish sauce. Ka Soy (the noodle soup) is a comfort food enjoyed in Southeast Asia. It's not the Thai-style where it's a curry broth and the noodles are fried, so let's not get it mixed up. Instead, it's bone broth that been simmered for hours and it's somewhat a lighter broth. The noodles are wide rice noodles in a big bowl of hot broth served with a mixture of ground pork cooked down with tomatoes along with fresh bean sprouts, scallions, and cilantro - simply a divine noodle soup that a must-try. It's not overly complex in terms of flavor, but it's a bowl of good ol' noodle soup that is comforting and great-tasting. Whether you want a warm hearty soup, an easy noodle dish, or bright zingy salad, the menu has you covered. Clean, bright and relaxing, Lao Der is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. Just come earlier than usual since the place closes at 8. Enjoy!

Even on the menu was so delicious, the gaeng aum was the only thing that was lacking the hm flavor but it's more of an authentic home dish so no worries I was still amazed that was on the menu, my fav food. Craving some Southeast Asian cuisine, heard about Champa Garden, so we went to check them out on a…read moreweekday for dinner at 7 pm. Parking wasn't too difficult. We found a spot on a side street a block away. This Thai/Laos eatery was dimly lit with a cozy atmosphere. When we arrived, only a few tables were occupied, so we were seated quickly. They have a variety on the menu: starters, salads, noodle soups, pan fried noodles, stir-fries, seafood, vegetarian, curries, fried rice, specials, sides, & desserts. *** O U R P I C K S *** CHAMPA WINGS ~ sweet & spicy, dry pepper fried chicken wings. The wings were quite small, but we got 10 flats. Tasty, but not too spicy. Comparable to the wings you'd get from San Tung or Korean fried chicken wings. 4/5 CHAMPA SAMPLER ~ Lao sausages, fried rice ball salad, & fried spring rolls. Tasty generous platter! It comes with vermicelli noodles and lots of fresh lettuce and herbs so you can make lettuce wraps. Spring rolls were crispy and delicious. I think this was the highlight of our meal. 5/5 LARP LAO STYLE (Duck) SALAD ~ prepared with mint, onions, fish paste, cilantro & Thai eggplants. Alone, the duck is pretty salty. But eating it with the provided lettuce and herbs balanced the flavors and cut the saltiness. Unique and bold flavors. 4/5 PAD THAI ~ thin rice noodles, tamarind, eggs, bean sprouts, and chicken. Flavor was on point, but the noodles were a bit wet and overcooked. 3.5/5 GINGER FISH ~ battered catfish, minced pork, ginger, onions, bell peppers, and mushroom. This tasted more like a Chinese dish. The fish were filet pieces deep fried with a batter covered in a brown sauce. This dish tasted ok, but nothing special. 3.5/5 A few dishes stood out like the Champa sampler and Larp Lao style duck salad. We enjoyed our meal and we'll definitely make our way back when the craving hits!

The Tom Kha soup was the highlight of the meal. It was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, with a nice balance of coconut, citrus, and herbs. It was so good that George is still finishing the leftovers today. Between the two of us, we got about four servings out of it, which felt like a great value. Unfortunately, the Pad See Ew was a letdown. The dish was greasy, lacked depth of flavor, and had very little beef. I ended up contacting customer support to request a partial refund because the portion of protein was so disappointing. For a dish like Pad See Ew, you expect tender slices of beef, chewy rice noodles, and a balanced savory and slightly sweet soy flavor with a bit of char from the wok, but this version fell short. Overall, the soup was excellent and worth ordering again, but the noodle dish did not meet expectations. I have heard good things about this place and hope this was just an off day.
