Hands down the best movers we have had and we have moved 9 times in 9 years! Elliott and his guys were all very attentive and quick. They didnt mess around. The entire 10 hour move they kept a speedy pace, since were paying hourly its important for them not to slow down. Their hourly rate was very fair and better than all the other quotes I received. The 3 guys that helped me move were super friendly, personable and professional. They took extremely good care of my stuff and worked incredibly fast!! We were only moving 5 miles, but chose Sterling Interstate because they had a large number of positive reviews. They responded very quickly with a quote and were able to schedule a crew on the day we wanted with just a few days notice. On moving day the crew showed up right on time. Great workers, very mask and safety conscious as well. Tim was a fantastic crew lead - extremely skilled, cheerful and positive to both his crew and the customers, and worked like a fiend. Grant was friendly, incredibly helpful and worked tirelessly the entire day. Mark was extremely courteous, eager, and worked hard the entire time. Our furniture and other belongings were skillfully packed and moved with extreme care and they made a difficult move with challenging furniture pieces look simple. I contracted Sterling Interstate in October and again in November of 2022. The apartment complex where I lived for 15 years was completing a 3 year renovation project with all the apartments so I needed to move out for approximately 45 days. During this time I tore a tendon in my foot so was in a "boot". Slowed down my packing time so had friends come pack for me, but Sterling also provides that service if I had needed it. Once packing was completed Sterling came and loaded up their truck and drove to Public Storage where I had rented an empty unit for the 45 days. There were four Sterling employees to load and unload. They worked from 8 to 5 with a 30 minute break for lunch and two mini breaks morning and afternoon. And when I say "worked" I mean WORKED! They were in constant movement! They were so nice, kind to one another and me, answered all my questions and really removed my stress from such a big project. Nancy Oliver in the office was able to place me on the schedule and was so pleasant to work with. The owner himself, Elliot Helm, even dropped off boxes as I needed them And as mentioned the crew were on time, worked constantly and showed they truly knew their business! Then in November we.reversed the process where Sterling loaded up the truck from the storage unit back into the renovated apartment and placed boxes and furniture into the marked rooms and even put the beds together! There just aren't enough GREAT words to describe our experience with Sterling Interstate. We had a work related move, from Sun Lakes AZ to SLC Utah, in Jan 2018 that came up rather suddenly. After getting quotes from the 'big name' moving companies, and being really unimpressed with both their numbers and their vague timeframes, I went looking for an alternative. With very limited time, I turned to Yelp to look for smaller, locally owned companies with great reviews. I first called Parker's Interstate, who wasn't able to do the move, but Brandon actually went out of his way to recommend a competitor, Sterling Interstate. & if you're reading this Brandon a GREAT BIG THANK YOU! Called Elliot @ Sterling; he made the time to come give us a quote the very next day. Not only did he provide a full service NTE for $3,000 LESS THAN the lowest quote of big name movers, he moved mountains to arrange the packing, loading, moving, & delivery on OUR schedule. And did I mention this was all pretty last minute? Next, the crew themselves. Showed up on time - both days, personable (funny as heck actually), and did an AMAZING job of packing up my gazillion knick-knacks and antique collections. Husband was home first day of packing and he called me at work just to tell me what a great job they were doing. Day 2 of packing, Dave let me know that they were coming in under estimated times so the charges were being reduced by $350. What company does THAT if you've already signed an NTE??? Sterling Does! The move itself was seamless - everything as promised & all as scheduled. Dave & Ron were AMAZING. Just the 2 of them, unloaded 2 packed to the brim trucks into our new 2 story digs in a single day. Dont know how you guys do it - y'all are like Energizer Bunnies! And never once losing their sense of humor or customer service skills. Unpacking was incredible - to see how carefully the crew took care of our most delicate items was mind blowing. Best example (and there are many I could list) of this would be a vintage/antique doll collection that I've worked on since I was a teenager. One of the large dolls has porcelain legs, formed in a sitting position. Tim packed this collection on the AZ end. & when I unpacked it, I found he had made a little bench out of washcloths to support this doll during the move. A little bench. For a doll! See? These guys are AWESOME! Elliot, I hope you know when we move again within Utah, y'all are going to have to come up and be our team. After significantly downsizing and packing up a house of 23 years, we contacted a local mover who then referred me to Elliot (Sterling Interstate). Elliot responded to my initial inquiry very promptly, gave me a reasonable quote, came out to the house to assess the job, and continued to be responsive to every email and phone call prior to our move. His team (Dave et al) is an AMAZING group of guys who are professional, respectful, and extremely helpful. After our house was packed up I asked if they could move a couple of BIG items from the garage into the house (for the next occupants) and they did it - no questions, no attitude! These guys were so accommodating. This move was extremely emotional for me. I lived in this house a long time and in Phoenix for over 35 years. Our company related move to Nebraska seemed insurmountable, but Elliot and his team made it efficient and easy. They packed my wall art and other precious items - EVERYTHING arrived in perfect condition. Too, we were on the road a day ahead of them and Elliot kept me informed as to their location all along the way! After everything was unpacked, Elliot and Dave assembled our beds, moved the heavy furniture around where we directed it, and made certain before they left that everything was as we wanted. First of all he was referred to me by one of the biggest and most reputable moving companies in the USA. My first interaction with Elliott was positive as he actually answered the phone when I called unlike others that required you to leave a message and then never call back. Although we were only moving 3 miles we needed some considerations and flexibility due to complicated work schedules. Elliott was understanding and more than willing to help put a plan together that worked well for all of us. As for the day of the move everything went perfectly. I was trying to arrange a move for my father from AZ to WI, that included significant downsizing, without actually being there for the estimate. I was referred to Elliot by another local mover that could not take on the job. By only using pictures & talking through what we needed Elliot was able to deliver a competitive estimate in less then a day that met our needs. From our initial conversation through the end of the job Elliot & Dave were very thorough & responsive. Since we were downsizing quite a bit he was even willing to deliver packing supplies to help us get ready. This not only included the standard boxes & packing but also tape & gun, markers & a box knife! On the day of the move they arrived promptly & took great care in packing my fathers belongings so there would be no damage.
