What I think works really well for this crowded coffee shop is that they don't yell out your name and order at a pick up station; they deliver your drinks to wherever you're waiting. I got the iced matcha milk latte ($7), and I can't wait to come back to try their ceremonial matcha to get a better feel for their matcha quality. They also have non-caffeinated drinks such as Strawberry Milk and Lemonade. With such a small space with high foot traffic, it would be very hard to sit down here for a long time to do work or catch up with a friend, but it is a great cafe to do a quick pick up. read more

I love this place! I've been coming here since summer and the matcha is unbelievable. I've tried the sweetened matcha and the ceremonial matcha and they were both amazing! I prefer the sweetened matcha (less sweet) it's a great balance. The employees are always so great and helpful! Yes the line might be long but it is definitely worth it to grab a coffee or tea and walk along Belmont and to the beach'. This is such a cute minimalistic and simplistic cafe. I love the all white and marble look. I will say the seats are uncomfy since their wooden stools with not backing and the counter is tiny so you don't get space with other people or if you like to sprawl out with your work, its hard to. Also, poor designing with the outlets being on the ceiling. I love the chill indie/alternative music here. All thought this place doesn't have a restroom, so you better hold that bladder. They also have dog treats for your furry doggos in the back by the water station. This cafe is located on 2nd St. The baristas are super friendly and attentive with amazing customer service. I love how they ask each customer how was their day and if they did anything fun today? It shows they take pride in getting to know their customer and making everyone feels so welcome. They also have extensive knowledge on each coffee and tea, which has a fruitiness, flowery, or tartiness. I got the cranberry pumpkin spice latte. I definitely can taste the pumpkin spice syrup but not so much the cranberry. But I will say it's one of my fav. However, this coffee is expensive as I added oat milk and the subtotal was $8. Stereoscope is literally my favorite coffee shop. I've recommended this spot to all of my friends, and every single one of them who's come with me has fallen in love with it just as much as I have. We just keep coming back! After our bank teller recommended this place one weekday morning so we headed right over and are so happy we did. The line was a bit long which gave us high hopes for what awaited us inside. The ambiance is so sleek and comforting at the same time and we happend to have visited during a collaboration with Knotted donuts which was a bonus for us. I ordered their iced Spanish Coffee and my boyfriend got the iced matcha latte and they were everything we wanted. I really liked how rich the coffee tasted and that hint of sweet condensed milk just remembering is making me want to go back lol. I got their Nakama Matcha without any added sweetener and I will say that I'm not used to this type of ceremonial matcha so after I took a sip, I definitely needed it to be sweeter. Although this might be the smallest of the Stereoscope locations, it may just be my favorite. The barista's are always on top of it making the drinks to perfection. I love the location as it is in an area that is great for walking and exploring - plus it is the closest Stereoscope to where I live. Parking is fairly easy to find on the streets especially in the residential areas. I almost forgot, but they also have the cutest merch and goodies. My go to drinks are definitely the espresso tonic and any of their matcha drinks. I love that they NEVER skimp out on their matcha and gives us the perfect green shade and flavor. Their coffee beans are one of the best in the state, and so of course the espresso tonic would be good. I don't know if they always have it but their matcha soft serve is also so good in the summer. I love going on a weekend morning because there are so many cute and friendly dogs waiting in line with me. Super pet friendly (they even have some dog snacks). I wrote the review for this place when I was tired, and kind of did it to checkmark a box. And then the owner send me thanks and a message and I knew I had to do better. I knew I had to re-vist this review and made it glow. Ironically, when I wrote this review tired and begrudgingly, I could have used some coffee from Stereoscope for a boost of energy. However, the coffee from this place is just not drank for purpose it is also drank for pleasure. When I passed this placed it look modern and sleek, almost like it belonged in a Space Station but honestly I did not know what they sold inside. A sign outside the store was not evident. I did see a small chalk board or sandwich board naming the place Stereoscope but at no time did I see the word coffee. I saw people on benches and seats drinking coffee so I deduced that this place sold coffee and I was like-- let me check it out, I was on vacation and I got the time. The place was slick and cozy. Yet, it still had counter and chairs. So it is not so snug that you won't find a place to sit. Truth be told, I went there on a weekday, so on a weekend the hustle might be deeper which might prevent you from finding a place to sit. The place was a white modern space. It did not have knick knacks or any other gauche items that would make this place corny. I inquired about the different coffee options, specifically something that would indulge my sweet tooth. The cashier/barista suggested a coffee-- a Spanish coffee, I believe. He explained that it was the sweetest coffee that they sold. I agreed to try it. Ole! Now that I am revisiting my review, I accidentally deleted a piece of the writing. How did I do that? Working tired definitely, translates to mistakes. I walked over to the barista who was making the coffee. Seeing him work was sort of a Zen moment-- he had a wax on, wax off approach. I saw the barista smell different items from different coffee-making instruments. I asked if I could smell an ingredient that was going into the coffee. The barista agreed. I smelled a container with liquid inside and I smelled chocolate but not with the notes of other flavors that the barista did. I could only smell chocolate. The barista could smell more granular notes. I needed to develop my sense of smell so I could detect odor like the barista. Ok, I got homework from this place. I wonder how one develops their odor detection capacity? I am not going to google it. I ll wonder till another day provides me the answer. The coffee was superb! It was a pleasure to drink. It was more special than other coffees I have tried. It was not the best coffee I have tried. That honors goes to a coffee spot that I tasted in a British Pub in Vegas. 2/22/23 James L (customer service) reached out last Monday and informed me about their One Year Anniversary promo-free coffee & pastries. Who could resist?! I was fortunate to be able to leave work early enough to take advantage, yay! Thought maybe a cup of brewed coffee? He said, any beverage on the menu! Say what?! Oat milk latte it is!!!
