This place looked great but food was not good. Dim sum was cold as if it was fresh out the freezer. The noodles and meats we ordered were also cold. We had to tell the server the food was cold every round but nothing changed. Definitely would not recommend coming here.

Tried this all you can eat Chinese place in a whim, after a visit to Fry's next door. Glad I did! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is quite large, and the decor is a step up from the usual AYCE Chinese restaurants.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a bar and cocktail menu, which is a plus, though we didn't order cocktails at 11:30 a.m. [[HIGHLIGHT]]one wall has a lovely mural, and there are booths and tables, with some large round booths, too[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is not a buffet. When you are seated, you are given an iPad or tablet of some kind. You scroll through and "shop" for what you want, adding if to the cart. When you are ready, click yo place the order. The food comes out relatively fast. This place has some of the best Dan Dan Noodles and Orange Chicken that I have ever had. So delicious! In fact, everything we ordered was fantastic. There is one downfall to the ordering system. You are not in control of the size of the servings. I ordered my noodles first, and the serving was quite large. This means I will have less "room" to try other things, especially because there is a charge for uneaten food. It's not badly priced for the quality of food at all AYCE restaurant, and I am sure I will return. So delish!

Dined in for an early dinner on a Saturday--the service was exceptional, very attentive and professional; [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant was clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]; and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambience felt upscale[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Their menus are extensive; there is a main menu and another that has their specials. We ordered a few dishes to share, and overall, the food was good, but only one was truly memorable. - 1/2 signature duck: presentation was unique; it came out in a chest with some veggies, two sauces, and tortillas. The duck itself was a little bland in flavor from what I'm used to. If you want the flaming duck, you'll need to order the whole duck. You get an additional dish that they make with the duck bones (choice of stir fry salt/pepper or a bone broth). The broth is better, but I don't think either is worth the $50 for the 1/2 duck dish ($99 for whole). The stir fry dish didn't have much flavor since it was just salt and pepper. - Szechwan crispy pork app is an absolute must try. The pork was exceptionally crispy, not oily, and the accompanying Szechwan chili powder is to die for. - mapo tofu, flaming beef ribs, and hot & sour crab meat soup were good. The flaming beef ribs dish is essentially kalbi but the marinade missed the mark. Worth a try if you've been thinking about it to see for yourself and to try the crispy pork~

OK it's been a while since I've been to a restaurant so bad that it deserve a one star review. One of my coworker told me about this AYCE dimsum place (I will have to beat him up next time I see him. ). So we were in the mood for dimsum and considering how we spend 60-80 everytime we go to dimsum, we decided to try this place. Got there when they first opened up and had to sign in before getting sat, even though thetr were no wait.. Ok what ever.. Restaurant seems new and nicely designed and decors. I was told it's AYCE and you basically click on the pad of dishes you want, submit and kitchen will bring the food out, right there I was like Umm ok guess I don't get people pushing carts around and pick out what you want.. Even though I saw few trays ready to go. I was disappointed to see that menu had about maybe 20% dimsum and rest Chinese food.. Ordered few dimsum, chow mein, edamame, garlic chicken, orange chicken, crab puff, fried shrimp and so on.. As you can see by what I ordered they had mainly Chinese food. Sticky rice and black beans/ribs I was told they are out of them so couldn't order.. Im going wth they just opened few minutes ago. Now comes the food, dimsum was probably the sadest dimsum I've ever eaten. They tasted like ones you ordered frozen and you steam them yourself. Orange chicken, practically cold, sesame chicken was basically same as orange chicken plus sprinkle of sesame seeds. Chow mein was more like low mein and cold. Only thing that tasted pretty good was the edamame. Tea was good other than having to ask twice and took 25 mins. Lady did come by with one tray that had some dimsum and had sticky rice so I grabbed one, which was OK.. Ordered some fried rice to eat the rest of sesame chicken so it don't go to waste.. Cold, conch dish Luke warm, when we finally got egg drop soup because they forgot, luke warm. My wife commented that they probably have all the main dishes made like buffet and they just put them in the dish as people order considering the temperature. You know it's bad when I'm sitting here going, dang I had better Chinese food at Panda Express. Ordered few more dimsum to get my money's worth which never came.. I ended up asking for check after seeing a lady come by full the water cup, wearing gloves, then wife noticed she was also picking up dirty dishes off the table. So we sat there watched her as the same lady cleaned few tables grabbing dirty dishes and cups, walk over to the station and empty them. Then grab new set of dishes and silverware and set the table. And all that while she was still wearing the same gloves. At that point we said ok I think I'm done eating. Asked for my check and complained about the sanitation issues, and the young girl says yeah they are not that clean here, I've only been working here few days.. I'll let the manager know.. Get my bill, over 60 bux for 2 people, then I noticed sign that said $6 extra if you want to add the dimsum to AYCE. I have never been to such over priced flavorless cold Chinese restaurant in my life. Not only would I never come back here, I am letting you know to stay the blip away frim this place.. If I get food poisoning or sick tomorrow I will know why.

They're definitely used to people knowing what they want shortly after sitting down with the menus. Friends & I came in for dinner & to catch up. I kinda feel bad we had to say, probably 4 or so times, we hadn't looked at the menu because we were so engrossed in catch up. I saw some of the reviews about consistency in temperature and I totally get it. My friends Mongolian beef, while delicious, wasn't super hot but felt more warm. The fish soup my friend ordered came in a ginormous metal bowl. I really should have taken a picture of the side of the bowl to show how large it was. It's definitely more sharing size than one person but the fish was perfectly delicate and delicious. The broth was out of this world amazing. I would come back for the broth alone!! The garlic ribs were completely covered in garlic & whatnot to the point that I had a hard time finding the ribs. When I did, they were delicious but be mindful, it's a lot of garlic. The sliced pork appetizer was happy and very good but again, the temperature consistency seems to be questionable. Prices are reasonable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music on a Saturday night was more like sleepy piano music. I weirdly enjoyed it but it was very unexpected but not 100% sure it goes "with the vibe" as the kids say these days.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] lol. Stellar 66 keeps popping up on Instagram as a place to visit for all you can eat dumplings and I love dumplings so it was worth checking out. The restaurant was large with a space/lunar theme, which explains the name. You ordered directly from a POS and they brought the food out to you. Good came out quickly. The all you can eat lunch special had a lot of options and they were all pretty good. The chili dumplings were my favorite. I plan to go back to try the soup dumplings, which were not part of the special.

I had dinner with my mom and sister here on Monday night and it was pretty good. Quickly upon us walking in, we were greeted and asked if we had a reservation. We did not so he had us follow him to an empty table. All booths were taken so we were seated in a round booth with a very small table. At this time, the menus were dropped off. The table set us was really nice and the gold tea pot along with the yellow plates made it look fancy. We looked over the menu and ordered: 1 Hot and sour crab soup 1 Appetizer sampler: 2 egg rolls, 2 dumplings, 2 ragoons 1 Chicken with mushroom 1 Kung pao chicken 1 Combo fried rice 1 Spicy green beans 2 White rice The soup and appetizers came out first. The server served us each a cup of soup and left us the rest. The soup was mmmmmm delicious. It was hot, flavorful, and had plenty of crab meat. The appetizers were ok - nothing special. Our entrees started coming out one by one and our table started getting crammed. This table was definitely not big enough for all the plates we ordered, lol. The green beans were cooked well as they were crunchy and had a lot of flavor - they were not spicy. The chicken with mushrooms dish was my favorite and it went will with the white rice. The fried rice was ok and the kung pao chicken was yummy. Service was great as all the servers who were working checked up on us several times and they were friendly. The inside is pretty spacious and the décor and lighting makes it feel fancy. In total we spent about $115 with tip and we had food leftover. We will be back!

I didn't get to try the new AYCE dim sum because it's only during lunch time, but we stopped in for dinner. The place tries to have modern decor but it was empty other than the workers cleaning with 1.5 hours left before closing. We ordered from the a la carte menu. Our family had chicken lettuce cups, sesame chicken, sweet and sour shrimp with fried rice, dan dan noodles. The food was underwhelming overall. The entrees are a large portion, enough to be shared if so desired. The fried rice was inedible and overcooked. Noodles were ok. I liked the lettuce cups but they literally only give you 4 pieces of lettuce so there was more chicken left than could be served in the cups. I see they have been receiving mixed reviews on Yelp. I would have to agree. Not sure we will venture back to even try the dim sum. This restaurant needs a lot of work to fill my Chinese food cravings.

Very clean restaurant with a moody and modern vibe. Staff were very nice and attentive. We opted for the dumpling lunch AYCE. The surprise of today was enjoying the dan dan noodles and orange chicken. Dumplings were okay- more dense and not seasoned as well as I'm used to so they were not my favorite but that's okay it's not for everyone.

Stellar 66 is little out of our way, but we wanted to try it. Very glad we did because they had many of our favorite dishes here. They had a set menu which made decisions little easier. Our favorite was the spicy wontons, which came with lot of extra sauce so we ended up using it on other dishes. Spicy XLB was interesting but probably stick to regular one next time. The garlic spare ribs were little on the dryer side but had lot of flavor. The fried rice and Dan Dan noodles were as expected. They were serving Peking duck at the next table; which looked very good so made a mental note to order next time. Enjoy! Highly recommend!!

I've been to the Fry's grocery store many times and always seen this place but never checked it out until now. The restaurant has great space. Not sure if they do events, but this would be the place to get a large part of people. The ambiance is nice and elegant. My husband and order the spicy wonton dumplings with beef noodle soup. The spicy wontons were not spicy at all but more so the dumplings in a bed of chili oil. They're your average delicious dumplings. The beef noodle soup we enjoyed the most. The broth was decent, savory and not too salty. I appreciated the lean beef. The last few beef noodle soups I had were mostly fatty pieces and not enough protein. Service was good. The restaurant has a bar with TVs. Great for watching the games. Plenty of parking. The only downside is probably, price, if that matters. Most of the dishes ranged from $15 and up.

My wife and I came for lunch on a Saturday at 12:30 PM. It wasn't busy, only a couple other diners dining. The restaurant shares a parking lot with multiple businesses but you won't have any trouble finding a spot. We started with Szechuan chili oil wontons. They were juicy but not too spicy. We then shared the braised beef noodle soup. That beef was so tender! The broth was tasty and the noodles were al dente. Nice modern/elegant ambiance here, it would be a nice place to take a date! Tons of seating, it could accommodate large groups. They have a bar with TVs to watch the game too! Overall, I had a pretty Stellar dining experience!

Our first time here and we will be back! Maybe it was because we were the first ones here at opening (11:00am) but everything was fresh, delicious and served with such friendliness. The also served us so quickly! The lamb dumplings were my favorite along with the deep fried golden buns. The Dan Dan noodles were also a big hit. The place is clean and authentically decorated which adds to the experience. A must try!

We are currently sitting at the restaurant writing this review. With the all you can eat price, 30 minutes in, we got 2 dishes, nobody came to take our drinks orders, despite our continuous effort to get their attention. There were 3 big tables that continuously got catered to, with food (outside of the peking duck) coming to them and not to any other tables. I am not one to snap photos of people but this is just to show proof that we did not add/minus any facts here. The service people were do dismissive and rude to us and we have been nothing but nice since we got here. I don't normally write reviews unless it is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad, and this is one of those times. Not worth $28/person to eat 3 siu mais. Best authentic Chinese cuisine I've found in Arizona. My family is originally from Irvine, CA where there are a few authentic spots. Sometimes trips to Rowland Heights or Alhambra were necessary to find the more truly authentic food. Most Chinese food restaurants in the valley are fake Chinese food (aka Panda Express style) Then the more authentic locations are typically Southern Chinese known as Szechuan cuisine. Stellar 66 is definitely more regionally Northern Chinese cuisine. Regardless of style, the food is very fresh! The flavors are excellent and well balanced. The ingredients and ratios are very on point and the kitchen knows what they are doing and very skilled. We have dinned in and to-go multiple times and have never been disappointed. Fish dishes are excellent and has been memorable every time. Portions are very fair along with the pricing. For those who know about Din Tai Fung and think its good, Stellar 66 is better. Din Tai Fung is like RA Sushi when it comes to Japanese food. The food is good, but the flavors and dishes aren't accurately aligned to the cuisine. Din Tai Fung is much more commercial which makes the flavors boosted in meat dishes or muted in simple comfort foods. Stellar 66 does it right by making the dishes to order giving them their identifiable characteristics and unique flavor profiles that only excellent Chinese food can provide. Keep in mind that every kitchen is going to have their own interpretation to dishes. There are probably some items on the menu that are average because they are trying to offer things to a wider audience. But if you stick to the traditional items, you wont be disappointed. read more

There is a la carte Dim Sum for lunch and All You Can Eat Dim Sum along with everything on the menu 11-3pm 7 days. AYCE $25.99 weekdays and $27.99 weekends. Owners sold and someone else took over who clearly had no love for the place. Logo was replaced with AI slop. Best items taken off the menu and food was bland. Also refused to honor a gift card despite it being valid. I would understand if it was an entirely new restaurant , but it just got new management. :( read more

If I can rate this place negative, I would. Got here at 1:45, ordered simple AYCE dumplings and fried rice. It's not 3:12 and have received any. Followed up multiple times and they seem to be lost. Ordered a water boiled fish, came out quicker but only provided one bowl for a party of 10. Started getting our utensils, bowls, chopsticks... [[HIGHLIGHT]]BTW, it's not even busy. Since we came on a friday night during the soft opening week, I would be fine with the service because it was so disorganized though servers tried their best to keep us happy. We called in advance in the morning to reserve the Peking ducks. We came in the evening, got seated, and nobody came to ask anything after 15 minutes. So we called the receptionist to remind about the peking ducks. She acknowledged but we saw nothing again after 10 more minutes. So we called a server passing by and she was surprised as she saw nothing ordered. So 15 more minutes before the ducks came to the table for a man to slowly cut it. The ducks' skin was disappointingly soft and chewy and not crispy at all. Duck meat was soft and flavorful though. They serve ducks with mushu (thin pancake) which is the traditional style, instead of the thick buns. The pineapple fried rice is also soaked wet and not crispy at all. I am not mad with the service, but I am not sure if I would come back because the peking duck was disappointing (no crispy skin). read more

Wanted to try this place after seeing some local reviews about it, arrived at 12 there were three parties ahead of us who signed in at an iPad. The wait time was an hour and we should not have wasted our time. Three groups that arrived after us got sat before us, so the signing in at the iPad was a waste. Once we notice this was going on we spoke with the wait staff but they had no way to fix it. Once we were being seated the waiter asked if we were here for the all you can eat dim sum, we said yes, looked at the menu and notice no steam buns were being offered. We asked about the buns and the waiter said "oh those are offered with our dim sum which we don't do anymore." At this point we were like why ask if we were here for all you can eat dim sum then!?! We got up and left, went to the Phoenix Palace in Chandler, walked in, were sat, and had food in under 2min. read more

Uh, no. For all the money put into the light fixtures, tables, and booths, they left the floors, walls, and ceilings looking like shit. So the place feels bleh. But far more important is the food and it's pretty bad. Pot stickers don't come with soy/vinegar. Instead their house sauce is some kinda chili oil and it's just bland and oily. They also give you sweet n sour. It was better, but kinda felt like the fake bright red stuff at the grocery store. The chicken fried rice was the dark brown crap. Fried rice shouldn't be this color and doesn't need soy sauce. You add it as a condiment if you'd like. The chicken quality was bad. The orange fish wasn't bad, but the fish quality wasn't good and there was a ton of batter. The menu features teriyaki chicken in the "Traditional Chinese Dishes" section. You couldn't script this shit. ‍. So hard to find decent Chinese in the Phoenix area. read more

The restaurant itself is nice in size. The downfall starts once you walk in. Customer service is lacking in all aspects. We went for the AYCE dim sum and was given a tablet to order from. It was very, very and I mean very difficult to communicate w/ the host who seated us. He did not understand our question, could not clarify anything and his go to answer was 'I think so'. Do you have dim sum? - I think so. Can I get water with lots of ice?- I think so. There was no AYCE dim sum but they did have AYCE Dumplings.. Water came w/ maybe 2 cubes of ice. We are here at their soft opening. The food is amazing. There are many traditional dishes, like Peking ducks, braised pork belly, and others. The place is more an upscale trendy Chinese dining. I wouldn't go here again we ordered dumplings they came out and the pork meat on the inside was raw, we also ordered grilled fresh fish and the fish was freezer burned and not fresh, the lighting is terrible I had to use my light on my phone to read the menu the table was a f foot round table with a bench seating for 6-7 people and so it was way too small for the bench only 2 people could sit normal the rest had to sit on the edge of the bench and lean as far in as possible just to touch the table, to top it all off somehow it was not their fault the food was not cooked right or that the fish was freezer burnt. I want to give it a zero star but that's not a option. read more

We ordered from the set menu. The pineapple from the Pineapple fried rice tasted like it was from a can. It wasn't very flavorful either. The beef noodle soup was also just ok. We asked for soup spoons but they just gave us normal spoons. The soup dumplings were cold and tasted frozen. The black pepper steak was a bit chewy. All together it was about $70. My husband went to the bathroom and found ants crawling around the toilet. Overall I was very disappointed and don't think we'll be coming back. read more

The best Peking duck I've had in AZ! They light it on fire at your table then slice it to perfection. The skin is so crispy and even the pancakes are perfectly light and soft. This place has high end cutlery and plates etc. so you know it has that luxury menu. From lobster fried rice to abalone and even Canadian scallops. But they do have the regular dishes like fried rice and orange chicken. Oh they also make an orange chicken and teriyaki fried chicken sandwich. I can go on and on about this place. We went there tonight after seeing the signs (multiple signs ) in front and hanging on the wall ALL YOU CAN EAT DIM SUM . My buddy went the other day and said it was pretty good but for lunch it was too much to eat for 42199 when the 1st banner said Lunch special $9.99 that's the 1st untrue they tell!. Anyway we made reservations for 7pm showed up and the hostess says oh No that's only for lunch for 3pm we both showed her the sign in front and pointed to the standing A frame sign as well and she says sarcastically I might add That Korean symbol means time we said what Korean symbol. This place has amazing food, fantastic service and excellent staff. I would recommend this to anyone who wants authentic Chinese food. If you want American Chinese food then go to Panda Express. This is delicious food and the second you walk in you want to order everything on the menu because everything smells amazing. The staff gives great recommendations and explains the menu and food if you've never had something before. We tried several dishes there from the dumplings, noodles and fried rice. I have zero complaints about anything. All the food tastes like heaven with rich flavors and aromas. I can honestly say this is my new favorite restaurant. read more

My review went up on 5/21 and by the very next day, 5/22, a regional manager named Jayson responded publicly as the business owner, and left his email. I emailed him that same day, and after I followed up on 5/27 he wrote back, copied the store manager, and asked me to send my phone number and a good time so we could talk it through directly. I did exactly that, same day. That was 5/27. It is now 6/9 and I have not heard a word back. No email, no call, no text. The original incident was 5/10, so we are at 30 days now. This wasn't a stray hair - that's relatively benign and sometimes happens in food prep, not great but harmless. This was a different category of foreign body in food: fragments that looked like they came off equipment, which means whatever produced them is presumably still in use, still capable of doing it again to the next person. This is what made the unresponsiveness frustrating. It's not about my daughter's one açaí bowl, it's about whether the thing that caused it ever got looked at. A simple "we looked at it, can't determine yet what happened, but we'll update you" would have been fine, but I got boilerplate "you deserve better" corporate slop. I didn't want my ego stroked, I wanted them to look into something serious. They are great at moving fast in public: their Yelp! reply was up within a day, right under my review, where everyone can see it. But the private follow-up, the part nobody else is watching, has now gone three weeks radio silent, after they were the ones who asked for my number, but never used it. Fast when it's visible, and crickets when it's not, tells you where the attention really goes. If you're reading this and trying to decide, take a little time with the reviews here, the detailed ones and the thin ones, the recent and the older, and decide for yourselves if there is a pattern or not. I'm done with them, they lost my trust. For the record, their açaí bowls when they don't contain bits of industrial machinery are pretty good, but we'll go to Swami's when we are in Oceanside and will try to find something else in the valley.

I visited Stellar 66 last weekend with high expectations, only to be met with a series of disappointments. The primary issue that stood out was the pricing. The food is significantly overpriced, with a Peking Duck priced at a staggering $100, which is exorbitant for a place of this caliber. It seems most dishes are marked up by about 35%, which is hard to justify. A notable example is the Sea Cucumber with Scallion dish, offering a mere five slices of sea cucumber, hardly what one would expect for the price. Another aspect that detracted from the dining experience was the mismatch between the restaurant's decor and tableware. For an establishment where one ends up spending over $80 per person, the expectation for high-quality tableware is reasonable. However, the reality was a disappointment, with cheap material chopsticks that felt out of place in a supposedly upscale dining environment. Adding to the frustration was the mandatory 20% service charge, which would have been acceptable had the service been on par with the establishment's pretensions and prices. Unfortunately, the service staff seemed lost and unsure of their roles, contributing to an overall underwhelming experience. In conclusion, while I had hoped for a memorable meal at Stellar 66, the reality was a dining experience marred by overpriced dishes, incongruent decor and tableware, and lackluster service. I can't believe Stellar 66 has been open for a year, and I'm just now discovering this gem! Having moved from LA, finding great dim sum in Arizona has been hit or miss, but this place absolutely meets the challenge. My 15-year-old daughter and I made the drive from San Tan Valley, and it was so worth it! We ordered a feast--hot & sour soup, chicken dumpling soup, shrimp, egg, and pork dumplings, spicy mung bean jelly, and the half boneless Peking duck. Every dish was packed with authentic flavors, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. The dumplings were fresh and juicy, the spicy mung bean jelly had just the right kick, and the Peking duck was crisp and flavorful. We ended our meal with the chocolate dumpling, which was a fun and indulgent treat! I didn't try any of the alcoholic drinks since I'm fasting, but I have no doubt they're just as fantastic. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. This is officially our go-to dim sum spot from here on out! Amazing duck!!! I would highly recommend the whole duck so as to make sure that you get a fresh one. Ours was cooked to perfection. They serve the duck three ways with the presentation: (1) the tender meat with cucumber, scallions, and chinese wraps, then they take the bones and left over meat and make (2) a duck soup broth with half the duck bones/meat, and (3) salt/pepper duck. It is totally worth it. For side dishes, I would recommend the string beans and a side of veggies. This is one of the best Chinese duck places. Like other reviews state and because I believe they just opened, they may be a bit understaffed so dont come into the restaurant expecting fast-food type service. It is not a get in and get out place. It is, however, a great place to come and have a long meal with family and friends chat and catchup very much like it is in Europe and Asia. read more

I was extremely excited to eat at Stellar66 in Gilbert, but it was a major letdown. We sat for 10-15 minutes without a single cart passing by. When one finally did, it was the same food as before, no variety at all. After 75 minutes of waiting and barely receiving food, we had only seen about 25% of the menu. To make things worse, there's a 90-minute time limit, so we were running out of time without having experienced most of what was offered. When we finally did get some food, the noodles and other dishes were cold, and the staff blamed it on a "random draft," which made no sense. For the slow service and limited options, the prices were ridiculously high. Overall, it was an expensive, frustrating, and disappointing experience, we won't be returning. read more

When we first arrived there was not a line and the hostess was right next to us but did not acknowledge us for about 5 minutes or so. The service overall was not bad but it could be improved upon. There is a large variety of dumpling options available but they do not tell you which ones are which when dropping your order off at the table. The food did not taste horrible but it wasn't remarkable. We tried 8+ varieties of dumplings, orange chicken, Mongolian beef, cucumber salad, edamame, crab puffs, spring rolls, fried shrimp, and more. Customer service is important to attract customers. Read the owners review, it lacks emotional intelligence. I once wrote 100 reviews to every TGI across the nation, the store manager contacted me, my family and I ate free for a year. I wanted acknowledgment and change and got so much more. Felt pressured by staff to leave a good review and were charged extra for the 4 dumplings we didn't eat. Menus are looking very nice, but the food doesn't have that much flavor to it. Most of the dish I taste is really plain. I'm a chef myself so I think if they can bring in a little bit of taste of seasoning in on that place might be better but for me, I don't think I will come back. read more
