AYCE dim sum is only 11AM-3PM. We didn't realize this until after we sat down, but decided to order anyway since we had sat down. The waiter kept pushing us to order the most expensive dishes here. When we ordered our meal (2 orders of soup dumplings, one order of spicy wonton) he was pushing us to order more. He said "just that? For three people?" when J said it was just a snack The vibes were not it. Szechuan spicy chili wonton was too salty. This is not your traditional Szechuan flavor and honestly all I could taste was Thai basil. Before our XLB came out the waiter came back and asked us if we wanted anything more to eat again. We still wanted to like this place. Language skills were poor on the part of the restaurant staff. This was our first visit. They assumed we knew how their restaurant worked and how the unlimited dumpling plan worked. We didn't. They struggle to explain the function of their promotion. We ended up ordering off the menu. We got hot and sour soup, cashew chicken, beef noodle soup, and some pork bao The food was only a little bit warm certainly not hot. The noodles were soggy as though they had been reheated several times. The presentation was poor, it looks like they just scooped it with a big spoon and scooped it onto your plate. The food is SO delicious. Peking duck is my favorite and it did not disappoint. The duck soup was also one of the best I've had. The duck wings were good too. It's nice having it prepared three ways. Came in on a weekday night for dinner. I had made a reservation however when I arrived the restaurant was fairly empty as it is a very large restaurant. The vibe is trendy and upscale and staff is incredibly helpful and happily answered all of our questions. Started off with one of their dumplings of the month (Chicken and Chinese Cabbage) which are delicious and handmade in house as well as their Night In cocktail which is served in a mini bathtub and is a delicious and refreshing champagne and rose drink. I also had the Seafood Chow Mein (not pictured) and it was delicious. A few things to note are that the portion sizes are huge and perfect for sharing and that although their extensive menu focuses on authentic Chinese food they do have a small selection of American-Chinese staples (think Orange Chicken). Overall, I highly reccomend Stellar 66 to anyone wanting to try authentic Chinese food. read more

We came on Father's Day for lunch no wait but they were just starting to get busy. We ordered duck, fish, chow fun, shrimp/scallops and fried rice. The chef rolled the duck cart out with it hanging they lit the duck on fire. After it was out they sliced up the duck in front of us. After the slicing the server then place the duck plate top of a bowl with some dry ice, the presentation was really nice. They made duck into 4 dishes. 1. Sliced duck wrapped in a thin tortilla like wrap was so good, the duck was cooked perfectly. 2. Duck lettuce wrap was kinda dry. 3. Duck soup was lightly flavored , the kids enjoyed that so much they finished off all the soup. 4. Duck salt/pepper spicy, be aware if you cannot handle spice, we love spicy food so for us it was perfect. Every one enjoyed every dish that we ordered. The hype from all the foodies feeds did not live up to the actual experience :( I was really looking forward to their Peking duck but was not impressed at all after finally getting to try it. We opted in for the half duck portion since we wanted to try other items too and Peking duck ain't great for leftovers..at least the ones I'm used to. The one here is more like a sliced duck dish, not the crispy skin with a bit of meat you get with the legit Peking duck. So yes, I was rather disappointed because I was so excited to finally have a place near us that offer this amazing dish. The service was okay. The only times we saw our server was when she seated us, took our order and brought our check. Food was delivered by other employees as a quick drop off. The dishes they use are so pretty and give it such a luxurious look/feel Love that decor of the place. It would be a great date night spot, esp with the bar. I recently dined at Steller 66, and while the restaurant was fairly empty when I arrived, I was immediately impressed by the attention to detail in the setup. From the neatly arranged tea cups to the elegant napkins and chopstick holders, the atmosphere felt fancy and extraordinary. Our waiter, although very shy, was incredibly kind and prompt in attending to our needs. The menu was extensive, spanning five pages with both American and Chinese versions, which was a delightful surprise. Now, let's talk about the food - it was immaculate! We tried the Crispy Chicken Szechuan, and it was beyond amazing. I couldn't get enough of the flavorful spice, and when I asked for extra on the side, they generously provided a cup of it. I wish I could've taken some home! The tea was delicious, and the Dan Dan noodles were equally impressive. Overall, I cannot compliment Steller 66 enough for their exceptional food and service. I'll definitely be returning, especially for that incredible seasoning - I'd happily throw it straight into my mouth! I am only giving it a four star due to at the time I was there. They did have a 3% credit card fee, which is beyond outrageous. I honestly think that's illegal, but they are not the only people who do this. It's all restaurants in the Phoenix area. Kind of got a preview of how things would be when we walked up to the door and an employee, who had been hanging outside at the front door, looked as if he was going to open and hold the door for us two ladies, but instead, actually walked in front of us and let the door shut in our faces. We were actually close enough to reach the door as it closed on his backside and when I opened it, I said "after you" and the guy never even acknowledged us. He walked directly into the kitchen and never looked back. Anyway, did not feel we got a full dim sum experience. Typically things are brought out on a cart so you can get a glance of the items before committing to them, but in this case, you orderly blindly from a menu and they just bring things out on the cart afterwards. I don't know if this was just a lazy day for them, but we did not get the full experience as I'd seen others get on previous reviews. Food was mediocre. Service was too. Green tea was an extra charge, that we were not made aware of, and tasted like hot dish water. The only thing that blew me away was the green beans. Overall, overpriced and underwhelming. So we arrived right as they opened. Service was ok, lil slow on refilling drinks. Presentation was a 10-10. As you can see above and beyond. Sweet a sour chicken was one of favs of our table. Had to try the duck, for me it didn't disappoint, I liked it! Dumplings were great! So was the bbq pork. Chicken lettuce wraps were reported to be ok. Finally tried this place after seeing it pop up so much on my feed... The Peking duck was probably the highlight. The chicken lettuce wraps were also very good, except it would've been nice if they used lettuce that was actually more crisp and bowl-shaped so that it could actually be eaten with the chicken. Had to scoop out half of the chicken before I was able to pick it up and eat it like a wrap, but by then the lettuce was all cooked and softened from sitting in the heat and oil. Everything else was ok- we also got the sizzling beef w/scallop, wonton noodles, egg plant, golden fried tofu, and soup dumplings. Flavor base for most things was very peppery. The only thing I would definitely NOT recommend would be the soup (less) dumplings- they were dry before it even hit the table! read more

I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality of the atmosphere to the quality of the food here. Tastefully decorated with stone and marble tables, modern lighting even soft contemporary classical music in the background. Beautiful china adorns the marble table like jewelry , the seating is comfortable. Browse through the menu's, there's several with many tasty dishes to be discovered. Bring the whole group, they can accommodate large parties here with plenty of seating. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Giving the perfect amount of service without hovering. I had the pork potstickers, very generous size and delicious. The beef chow fun was amazing, the beef was so tender. The price? Very reasonable! We came in on a Wednesday afternoon shortly after they opened, and service was wonderful. Very attentive and kind staff, however the food was absolutely awful. I'm sad to say it was the worst I've ever had. The dim sum was not fresh at all. The one item we enjoyed was the warm( fresh) red bean paste buns which came in a cute character display. I wanted to like this place. It was popular on social media for a while. The ambiance was great. Definitely a modern Chinese restaurant. The service and food is a different story. The service was slow. We went around 11:30am before the lunch rush. 10 tables were full but they still couldn't keep up with the amount of people. The amount of staff that were just standing around in the back talking, could've been taking other table orders while dim sum was walking around. Since only 3 staff members were walking around, the rest seemed like they didn't care about the rest of the customers. Food itself was mediocre. I've definitely had better at other restaurants. We had to wait 10 minutes for water. The staff really needs to work on communicating with each other. We shouldn't have to rely on certain people to order and wait around. Overall, I personally wouldn't come back. I do hope this restaurant makes a full turn around staff and service wise. read more

The servers were quickly trying to load normal carts with dim sum and rolling it out. Since the normal carts can't hold too many items without the risk of spilling, by the time the cart reached our time, the pickings were slim and the food was cold. We asked for tea that didn't come until we were almost done with our meal. We didn't even get to eat what we came for (haw gow, sticky rice, the dim sum staples!). The food was nothing special and what bugs me the most was the pricing. They had the $21.99 (without dim sum) and $27.99 (everything) options. We chose the $27.99 thinking we can make orders from the menu. NOPE! We were told by the server that the kitchen is 100% busy with the dim sum. WHAT?! Who knew space food could be so good ... and not freeze dried. This has been on my list for a while and I'm glad we finally got a chance to check it out. The abeyance was surely not what we were expecting but it was clean with beautiful light fixtures. I really want to know the story behind the name! We had their famous duck, dumplings, and milk tea. Their tea is delicious and soothing, I could drink it all day. The fat on the duck was rendered nicely and was delicious. I highly recommend this place! read more

Servers were nice and attentive. The food is better than most Chinese restaurant food, but there is room for improvement. Some of the pieces of sesame chicken were cold, perhaps they didn't stay in the pan long enough. I'm guessing it's a cut open bag and just fried. But it was good. The cashew chicken had poor cuts of chicken, some low quality grade meat. The cashew chicken was a little chewy. This could be how it's traditionally done in China. But it was tasty.
