We are here at their soft opening. The food is amazing. There are many traditional dishes, like Peking ducks, braised pork belly, and others. The place is more an upscale trendy Chinese dining. Made a reservation for 7:00 came early. Asked for water never came. Had to ask again for water and the waiter finally came by. The girl who took our order was not very helpful and acted like we were wasting her time. Yes we had to change our order at the last minute because what we wanted they were "out of their dumpling". Once we got our order we had to ask twice to get our rice. They brought the rice after we were done. After we paid, I looked over at the table next to us who was seated after us, they were asian and they were just served the dumpling that 20 minutes early they were out of. Ok, I had high expectations before coming here because I was under the impression this is a fancy place. Well, the only fancy thing is probably the price on its menu. There were three people in our party and our bill was over $200. No doubt, for $70/person, there are certain things you'd expect. Like cloth napkin instead of paper ones. And the extra napkin we asked never came. Its dining area resembles closely to a cafeteria. Just one big open area with tables and some booth. No privacy at all. We ordered two dessert, one is a red velvet cake. It came with a scoop of ice cream. Actually, I wouldn't call it a scoop... the restaurant should probably consider invest in an ice cream scooper. And for $12, it is a very small slice nothing compare to the slices you get at Cheesecake Factory... In all, bad ambiance, so so service, very strange order in which food came out (main dish came before appetizer). Food tasted ok, similar to most of the Chinese restaurants in town. Probably the worse Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. You can tell the people here don't care about their jobs. We got ayce dimsum with kitchen food which came out to about $32/person including tax, not worth it. Since you get dimsum and anything in the kitchen, you'd think at least one dish would be decent, Nope...The chowmein was soggy, slimy and oily. The shumai was too soft, as if it was undercooked. The egg drop soup tasted like water and the gyozas were SO bland. The scenery was too dark making it difficult to see what you were eating. The booths were put together, leaving a gap making it difficult to sit. If you do come here, get a table instead, as for the food, I highly recommend going elsewhere. If you want good chinese food in AZ go to Simi's Cafe, if you want good dim sum go to Great Wall or Mekong Palace, this is not the place. read more

It's just not worth it for what you get. * We ordered some food, and they kept asking if we wanted to order more, but I kept telling them that what we ordered at the beginning still hasn't come. This occurred all the way to the last call. So we just cancelled all our orders. * I saw the table next to us gave the same feedback. * We spoke to all the workers about it and it seemed they all genuinely cared but at the end, this was our experience. The best Peking duck I've had in AZ! They light it on fire at your table then slice it to perfection. The skin is so crispy and even the pancakes are perfectly light and soft. This place has high end cutlery and plates etc. so you know it has that luxury menu. From lobster fried rice to abalone and even Canadian scallops. But they do have the regular dishes like fried rice and orange chicken. Oh they also make an orange chicken and teriyaki fried chicken sandwich. I can go on and on about this place. At $12, a poor value. We had the shrimp/ scallop garlic entree. Expected good side shrimp- nope. The small shrimp you might put on a salad. Expected scallops the size of marshmallows- nope. Bay scallops the size of pencil erasers. Mostly celery, green peppers, some bamboo shoots, a couple water chestnuts in a really bland white sauce. Absolutely no taste. Nothing stood out except for the Peking duck; that was very good with crispy skin. My sister had the sizzling steak with scallops. The scallops were old and fishy tasting. Brother in law had kung pao which had no spice whatsoever. My Mother had lobster lo mein which was ok. I wanted to go there as reviews talked about the ambience and great service. The service was seriously lacking. I am not sure if the better servers were off or the reviews were wrong; they were not very attentive at all. The food is good. The kung pao chicken was too sweet. But the soup dumplings were good. We tried the opening duck it was delicious and you get to choose how you want the rest of your duck 2 different ways to choose from. The pig ears were yummy. So when in comes to Asian food, I usually don't pay too much attention to the reviews since poor reviews might be because people aren't used true Asian style cuisine. However, the dim sum here was truly bad and seemed to have been frozen for a long time or purchased that way. The food was way off from what I am used, it lacked both taste as well as texture. The dishes that my wife and I chose were barely warm or seemed to have come out of a microwave. I expected a little bit of a drop in food quality this since it was an AYCE restaurant but even I was disappointed. I will say that the interior was one of the most nicely decorated Chinese restaurants I have been to but that in no way makes up for the lack of quality in the food. Came here after reading reviews about their Peking duck. Preordered 1/2 in advance. Only the full duck is carved table side. The 1/2 is brought out pre cut on a plate with the trimmings. The skin was fairly crispy, and the meat was tender. The soup made with the bones had a very pronounced white pepper flavor. Also got the Dan Dan noodles and the chicken in chili oil which were very good. Both were pretty authentic comparable to what I've had in Sichuan. They have a whole section of Chinese American dishes if that's your thing. The manager stopped by commenting that they were trying to improve on service, so I think they are aware of some issues others had mentioned. This place is definitely worth checking out. Went to try their AYCE buffet. They were not prepared and did not have enough servers. The wait time was over 30 mins. I understand this being their soft opening. The food was greasy, they would forget to bring your order, would not tell you items you ordered were not ordered because even though it's listed on the menu it is not listed on their ordering platform. Wait time was long and the food flavor was not worth the price. If you want good food this was not authentic and I would not recommend it. For dim sum, it's best to stick to places in Mesa and Chandler. I felt sick attempting to eat the food. Portion was small and pricey and flavor was lacking. read more
